The Ooni read accounting in the higher
institution in Ibadan and as you indicated he is a MEMBER
of ICAN. Meaning that he has taken his

U make no sense. How can u be a member of "Institute of CHARTERED Accontants of Nigeria" without being a CHARTERED accountant.
Besides I just checked qualifications listed on their website. U do have to pass exams to become a member.

Yoruba people are the custodians of. Yoruba customs, culture and tradition not any Ooni.
An institution used to subjugate and claim superiority over your ancestors should not be an institution u r championing. You should instead be calling for it's abolition.

Yes... thanks for the ICAN clarifications info. It seems like YOU know
the Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi personally for you to know that he is NOT a
"chartered account." This is taking into consideration that he read
"accounting" and graduated from "The Polytechnic in Ibadan":

In his profile that I read when he first became the King in 2015, it was
indicated that the Ooni of Ife read accounting and graduated from "The Polytechnic
in Ibadan" in 2002 just as YOU rightly stated, so I just automatically assumed
that he would have done all his professional exams.

I actually knew him as far back as 2002/2003 when he and a group of
business people brought Association for International Business[AIB] to
Nigeria. He was then known with the appellation of "Mr." and NOT "Prince"
even right up to 2015 as the CEO of "Gran Imperio Group," he was still known
as Mr. Adeyeye Ogunwusi, which "probably" shows his humility by not
wanting to identify as an Ife Prince in his official correspondences
with the media.


The ONLY thing I wasn't too pleased with him [Ooni] for is when he went to Imo
State in late 2017 and offered on live TV to visit and speak to the leader of the
proscribed group led by Nnamdi. I felt it was politically incorrect for him to mediate
in what doesn't concern him and his people. And those guys would have used it for
propaganda and to massage their egos on YouTube that a "whole King of the
Yoruba" came to Umuahia to "bow down" for Kanu!"

PS: Chartered accountants
There is a big difference between an "accountant" and a "chartered accountant."

Technically, and rather amazingly, anyone can call themselves an accountant regardless of what licensing or education they have. A "chartered" accountant however must be a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of either England & Wales, or Scotland, or Ireland. These organisations will only allow membership after a series of examinations have been passed and after the applicant has achieved the required amount of working experience to meet the criteria for membership.


Essentially, when you choose a chartered accountant, you have the reassurance that you will be working with an accountant with a high baseline of experience and certification, and who will be able to help you determine the best course of action whatever your financial situation and needs.
