Good afternoon all. Merry Christmas.
Is it advisable to enter the Express pool prior to when WES responds with their evaluation. This process is already underway for me.

Yes please, you may. If you had flipped a few pages back, you'd have seen the answer to your question.

It's obvious you didn't read through the pages of the thread, most importantly page 0. The answers are there. Someone as much as reposted something from part 2 having the direct links to some FAQs here and the solutions proffered.

The short answer to your question is evaluate only your highest degree. Where you possess 2 degrees, evaluate both to claim points for two or more blah blah blah. In addition, no one cares about your insurance degree over there. It's your work experience (and how you sell it) that really matters

Please which periods are best add a spouse to one's application? I understand it's best before one gets an ITA, however, I feel there should be a window for such inclusion post ITA. Thanks.

Is this a spouse you are already married to before entering the pool or you want to marry him or her post-ITA?

Not yet married. Wish to marry post-ITA, a pre-ITA marriage is not guaranteed due to some timelines. Thanks

Oga stonecold, it would only be kind of you to point out to me how exactly I attempted to shame you. First, I answered your question nicely and then pointed you to where you'd possibly find more answers to other recurring questions.
Mr, you call that shaming? It's such a pity

The answer you thought you got was incorrect and it was on purpose. You couldn't even spot the irony in the tone

You are required to update your profile if you get married (or other changes) at any time throughout the process.

- pre ITA: easy, just update your profile

- if it's post ITA: recalculate your CRS point, if it's above the cutoff for your ITA, you're good (use Modify Family information tab). Else, decline the ITA

- post COPR: you must return docs and update your application as appropriate . It might set you back a couple of months.

- post landing (PR) : too late, you have to sponsor your spouse for his/her visa

- you spouse will have to do medicals and PCC in all cases
- do a quick calculation now with and without your spouse to see how much difference the CRS points are. Your spouse may also have to write IELTS test and do ECA to keep the points before and after being married close.

What about post AOR?

Hi Solomon, its not worth taking that risk. Infact, the CRS point system is structured in a way that if favours young, single unmarried individuals than married people. Check your likely CRS score online.

Dont also forget that yout Proof of funds also increases with marriage.

For marriage confirmation, a marriage certificate, newspaper publication for females, your

application becomes stronger when her passport is in your name.

Hello , am married but have not done change of name , my passport carries my maiden name , pls do I need to do change of name before I enter the pool ?

Question2 : I would like to change my name to his name and not his surname pls hope there's no problem with that , thanks in advance

I'm not so sure. I've read contrasting information online (some say it doesn't affect CRS points at this stage¿¿)

One thing is certain, you will have to update the application and upload necessary docs. However, I'm not sure of how to implement that (CSE?) and how it affects processing timeline

One needs to be shrewd when doing stuff such as this. It is noteworthy that during evaluation (by WES particularly) you get an estimated date of completion of evaluation after verification is done. With that, ECA shouldn't be a limitation to creating/maintaining a profile. At least have that profile up and running in case you're caught in the web of a CRS cut-off tie breaker.

You may still create your profile as soon as you have a reference number from WES. All you need to do is add the 'IMM' suffix to your WES reference number and you're fine.
Assuming your WES reference number is 1234567, that means in the field for your ECA report number, you should fill in 1234567IMM.

Where it is certain that ECA won't be ready 3 months after ITA is gotten, kindly decline ITA and get back into the pool ASAP to be eligible for another draw.

Happy boxing day

It doesn't affect CRS score after AOR... That is why pple whose future spouses can't contribute or don't want them stressed exclude them.. Marry them after AOR, bring in photos, marriage cert, payments and updated pof. Arabian doc did it. But if she not contributing points doesn't take u away from possible ITA threshold, marry and do everything at once.

Lol. Most of the information and responses to questions on this page are INCORRECT. This is why we tell people to read through the past threads. All the questions asked here, have scenarios played out in the previous threads.

However if you don't read or research you'll take the incorrect responses on here and run with it. I won't go into deciphering what ones are incorrect but most of the answers on this page are false. Good luck to the folks asking the question. You're better off reading through the previous parts and page 0 to get CORRECT answers.

Thank you @mcstan18.

This is exactly my case. Hubby & I's ECA was estimated to be out January 8th. Surprisingly, hubby's ECA was ready the next day (Dec 15th) after acceptance of all certificates. I thought mine will also be ready soon as my certificates have also been accepted. I jumped into pool and got ITA (Dec 20th).

But people are confusing me, people like you say, it doesnt matter as long as ECA will be out before 3mths expiration. But another set is saying I should decline, that chnage in ECA date is misrepresentation.

Please seniors in the house, can you shed your view on this matter.

Hubby & I have similar qualifications (UK masters). So I am sure mine will also be evaluated as equivalent Canadian Masters. I do not see change in ECA date as misrepresentation.

Please advice further. Thank you.

Merry Christmas e-family! May this season bring us peace and joy.

One thing that is always advocated on the thread is the need to avoid cutting corners. Its better to wait a few months for all documents to be ready, than to play smart apply and be penalized for misrepresentation. Patience is a virtue.
