the Jews were the first set of people to document an encounter with God, all other tribe only have the concept of God base on fear and admiration toward natural phenomenon......the record can be found in the book of GENESIS

hmmm, do the vedas has a record that explain GOD personal encounter/ relationship with them like the Jews, the full story of GOD first encounter in the genesis goes thus.

One day in the Middle East about four thousand years ago, an elderly but still rather astonishingly spry gentleman took his son for a walk up a hill. The young man carried on his back some wood that his father had told him they would use at the top to make an altar, upon which they would then perform the ritual sacrifice of a burnt offering. Unbeknownst to the son, however, the father had another sort of sacrifice in mind altogether. Abraham, the father, had been commanded, by the God he worshiped as supreme above all others, to sacrifice the young man himself, his beloved and only legitimate son, Isaac.

An angel appeared, together with a ram, letting Abraham know that God didn’t really want him to kill his son, that he should sacrifice the ram instead, and that the whole thing had merely been a test. and this story birth the three main abrahimic religion(Christianity, Islam and the Jews)

I guess you guys are getting me wrong....am not talking of Hindu multi versions of gods neither whose first got the gods ideology here . i am talking about GOD and the direct relationship between him and man...the Jews were the first to have found GOD and made it documented in any religious history

yes i know Sumerians ., it is the language of ancient Mesopotamia the modern day Iraq
