Yusuf Buhari’s ‘forgotten’ Biker Friend, Bashir Gwandu, Also In Coma

Bashir Gwandu, the friend of President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, is also fighting for survival at the intensive care unit of Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, DAILY NIGERIAN can report.

Bashir Gwandu is Yusuf’s best friend with whom he collided in a horror crash on Tuesday night.

Reliable sources told DAILY NIGERIAN that the accident occurred when Yusuf revved up the engine of his motorbike to overtake Bashir Gwandu, and suddenly lost control of the machine.

“The accident happened when Yusuf was trying to overtake Bashir. They collided and somersaulted.

“They lay unconscious there for a while before permission was sought to take them to the hospital,” said a source.

DAILY NIGERIAN also gathered that a security vehicle was trailing and giving cover to the president’s son when the accident occurred along Ahmadu Bello Way (near NEXT supermarket), Abuja.

Rumours were rife on Thursday morning that Yusuf was flown to Germany for treatment but spokesman for the president, Garba Shehu, dismissed the rumours.

Sources however told this newspaper that Yusuf would still be flown abroad for treatment as soon as his condition improves.

It is however unclear if Yusuf would be flown abroad alongside his friend, Bashir Gwandu, for further medical attention.

Nigeria is really a pitiable entity.Nigerians are groaning from the unprecedented hardship inflicted as a result of the ineptitude of the Buhari government.
While his son & his elite friend have enough fuel to embark on a reckless adventure.That simply shows the insensitivity of our so called leaders. undecided

Yusuf and Bashir should be grateful they are still alive...to rev the engine of a power bike on an initial race speed on a normal road(not race track) is like jumping off an aeroplane 4000 feet above sea level using an umbrella as parachute. The last guy I know of who did that years ago along Katampe to Gwarimpa road (Abuja) had his skull and brain packed inside his helmet.

BTW people are looking for fuel to go to work while some guys have enough fuel to race with bike. As much as I don't like Buhari's administration, I still wish his son and son's best friend well. cool
