There is no big deal in public universities, they have nothing to offer. We should not allow poverty becloud our sense of judgement. By the way I am a graduate of a public university.

Top universities in UK are Privately managed. Take some time, and ponder on what state our national educational standard; would be without the interventions of private universities.

Education is different from schooling...curriculums are devised to guide and also restrict us...it doesn't matter where u get schooled... But it does matter how u get educated because education is driven by our own effort, our zeal and determination to learn.

I graduated from a public university, most of my professors are part time lecturers in these private universities They attend to the private university students like humans and with all manners of respect.
There was a period when we thought our lecturer was out of the country, we never knew the man was busy attending to two other private schools and smiling home with his cash.
Nonetheless, I never regretted attending a public school as learning sometimes boils down to individuality.

It's obvious Privates have better conducive learning environment and stable calendar as opposed to Publics.
But for knowledge of the wisdom of the world and full university experience, Publics is the way to go.
So both have their Pros and Cons.
But for me, I'd advise against Publics simply for the frustrations of ASUU strikes.
