The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commended the Federal Government for doing ‘complete and sound palliative work’ on some major roads in the Southeast, thereby allowing for ease of traffic on such roads. FRSC’s Southeast Zonal Commanding Officer, Samuel Obayemi, gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Enugu yesterday.

Obayemi, who is in charge of Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states, said that apart from the palliative work on a lane of the dual carriage roads, solid total re-construction work was ongoing on the other lane of same road corridors in the zone. According to him, the Federal Government had lived up to its promises of ensuring that other lanes of Enugu-Onitsha and Enugu-Port Harcourt roads were ‘’very usable,’ while total reconstruction work was ongoing this dry season.

He said, “The FRSC is grateful to Mr President, who is always matching his words with actions especially on issues of well-being and welfare of Nigerians irrespective of their areas in the country.

‘The palliative repair work done on major Enugu-Onitsha Road and Enugu-Port Harcourt Road remain an eloquent testimony that road users would have a smooth ride this season

Went home to the east for the Xmas and the roads were terrible, seems he fulfilled the promises on one of the deep slumbers of the APC cabinet.

From mbok in cross river down to Abakaliki to Enugu only in part of Enugu that you find itches and its ongoing not as bad the way it used to be to awka its a testimony to Onitsha its cool from asaba to agbor its always been good Benin to Lagos is also ongoing we new to give it to him
