How far expert drivers in the House, which locations are very favorable(money making). Please advice newbies here. At least apart from beefs, we can also assist people that need help.

Secondly, if I take my car for inspection and it passes and I am the one driving it, do I still need to take a driver's test? And should incase they decline my vehicle , I intend to apply for the driver test anyways. What are the things I need for the test, I mean apart from my driver's license and What does the test entail?

My questions are much but what is the use of this thread if questions can't be answered, enough of the fight and beef, let's go back to work

It's rumour that a hike in fuel prices is lurking behind closed doors. If this happens (145 to 185 per litre), what will be the effect on rental or HP weekly?

I have resisted the urge to add my comment on this matter, but since he claims that because no former partner has called him out that means he has not done anything wrong, This man here still owes me and has refused to settle his debt. He deposited two of his many senior school certificates with me and ran away till today (over 5 months now). Before running away he told me he wanted to quit Uber and focus on other things, not knowing that he goes around jumping from one partner to the other defrauding them as he goes.

There are other drivers that are very vocal here that are owing me as well that have refused to do the needful inspite of my benevolence and understanding, I will not mention your names, you know yourselves but please know that you will not go free with my money, I will get my money no matter how long it takes, and the longer it takes the more the price you will pay. I will not come to you looking for my money again but know that when you begin to be afflicted that it is because of the debt that you owe and have refused to settle, a word is enough for the wise.

Ogunvic41 come out and defend ur brother, more accusations are flying in.

The driver you recommend hard working and honest, is now accused by another person.

Come out and tell us why you say driver is honest, if the driver way, is how you intend dealing with partners you are managing their cars.

Bro sorry for the debt all of this drivers online are owning you, next time b4 any driver take ur car, get a deposit of 50k from him,

I recommend u calling all bad drivers out, so more partners won't be there victim.

Giving out vehicles to drivers, one needs to be diligent and confirm all information given. Some requirements listed below can be helpful

1. Signed Agreement
2. Photo of Driver
3. Utility bill to confirm residential address
4. Physical inspection of residence
5. Signed guarantor form
6. Confirming with guarantor that he duly read and understands what he/she signed
7. Photo and ID of guarantor
8. Sometimes security deposit

The list is endless to suit your desired biz approach. When u start treating investments with great concern, some certain issues will reduce.

I hope this little write up of mind will be improved by another so that we are able to achieve a hitch free 2018 in this hustle

Looking at maintenance and repairs, I tend to ask this question, Do I maintain and repair a vehicle that a Driver uses to make income for both parties? Or do we make a preventive maintenance schedule to be carried out within certain periods? What is the true picture when it comes to maintenance repairs inline with ROI?

I dey come, make I open fridge for a drink.

Bro I feel your pain. This is learning curve for me. But after 5 months now. Things are taking shape. One of my car was impounded by lasma . Car was almost wrecked. The driver was recommended by another. The driver was new to Uber. My other car out of the blue the driver just drop it off. The shocks were bad and no oil change was done. I had to fix those things up. The only good thing is the driver did not wreck the car. Well I do inspection on my cars every two weeks. Drivers had owned me money. And the driver finally paid after a few weeks. So sometimes with these drivers u will think their village people is after them . Just have to take the good with the bad in these business or in life in general. Please any bad driver expose them share sharp .
Also partners before giving cars out . Put them in order to avoid stories that touches the heart. Drivers and partners need to behave . Owners just don't give your cars away like that. Be hands on do inspection of your car if driver is owning tell him to drop the car. Before the debt balloons up.
Most partner just want to make fast money . They are not taking the business serious at all . It goes both ways at times. Please expose them if you have to .

Let's see if drivers will understand it this way.

Someone is working or doing business, manage to buy a car, decide to put it in Uber for extra income.

Then driver approach him, saying the only way to be successful in doing transport is HP, now that person is not super rich, he just an average guy looking for extra income.

After analyzing the risk, he goes with hp, because of his inexperience, and when driver default, they claim they have paid certain amount of money, trying to ignore the terms.

Those drivers sees Chisco motors and good is good motors they are super rich owners, with plenty of cars, they won't approach them, to sell one of their cars on hp, but u see an average guy with less account balance, you find a way to bully him or manipulate him, by saying all sorts of negative words, inhuman, greed, slavery.

You greedy drivers need to stop this nonsense and face ur work, if you want to buy a car, go to where they are selling it and buy or go to bank to take a loan.

Finally somebody that understands me . Do u known that most people that are against me on these forum are drivers. To all future or currant drivers that might want to own me money . This is for u

Its very simple. Fuel Is a major determinant in our economy right now. An increase in fuel price automatically increases everything and no sector will be left behind.
Fuel price increases, cost of transportation increases, cost of transportation increases then prices of food stuff increases Too, when FOOD increases, you need more money to put food on the table and as such increase your weekly rental. Everything right now depends on fuel. Until we find a substitute then we are in for a very long thing.

Thet wont. They will introduce frequent surge. Any opportunity they get, an area will surge. To the psychological mind of the average rider, base fare is same but the surge will kill them. It's tricky to increase base fares. Leaves a negative psychological effect on riders.

Of course this forum is dominated by drivers, few owners comment here, there tactics is simple, they bully you into agreeing to wat dey want.

Even if they insult u, remain tough, no one else will protect ur investments the way u do.

Even if ur investment is only 1$ protect it fiercely, remember if you go down, they will blame u.

Drivers - Avoid desperation this year. Accept no stupid car from anybody because you are hungry and need to provide. If you accept a stupid car, you will only be working in vain. In fact, pouring water into a basket would be a better venture for you.

E hailing business is a partnership. Partners cannot drive their cars. There are a lot of drivers for partners to choose from, so avoid the mentality that you are trying to do anyone a favour. Never accept a car with warning lights in, or suspension that is next to dead. Make sure any car you are about to drive has a perfect Fuel, cooling and suspension system. don't agree to manage any car for any partner. They are only after their weekly rental. This is 2018. don't accept any car that will spend more time in a workshop than on the road and you will still pay rental and buy fuel.

Frequent surge has been the order of the day due to competitive nature of app companies available and this surge doesn't necessary increase or decrease rental fee.. A hike in fuel pricing will have a direct effect because the final rental figure is a calculation of the most important factors 1. Fuel and 2. Income to drivers .

Why do I say this... drivers tend to assume that they are the driving force within the E-hailing bizness, and they will always negotiate lower when other factors increase.

Yes. You you should maintain your car. In the end, it's your car and he is just a driver. Preventive maintenance works best. If you give a driver a perfect car with zero issue, he has no excuse to tell stories. If a driver with a perfect car tells you stories that isn't related to his health, collect your car sharp sharp.

You will spend less on maintenance if you carry them out yourself. Driver will be happy, you will be happy, car will be happy.

Avoid cars with expensive parts. Carrying out maintenance on a car with less expensive parts is easier. It's why Peugeots are the best for this stuff. Brand new parts are cheaper than their contemporaries, and they last longer.

Make your research and find out the truth.

A 1.7 liter peugeot engine is less than 80k. lipsrsealed Who wouldn't want such?

how much is corolla engine?
how much is camry engine?
how much is elantra engine?
how much is Kia Rio engine?

research... cool

No the partner shouldn't be totally responsible for a vehicle that he doesn't even drive but gives in trust in partnership with another.

Everything automatically goes up.
In Nigeria, I doubt there is something worth 5naira right now, 5 naira is Gone and if fuel price increases, soon 10naira will follow suit.
Yes, app companies will follow the trend Cus thy wouldn't wanna run at a loss too.

I am telling you from a drivers perspective. Base fares may never go up. but surges will increase. Surges are a way of uber compensating drivers for extra cost of fuel. They don't want to lose out as well. When it happens, you will be in the know.

Let me teach you a trick: Go and register on uber as a driver and also on taxify. I am not asking you to drive. No. You are doing this just to have access to the uber and taxify app. You will be able to see anytime there is a surge because you are registered. No driver will dribble you. If dem no gree, collect car. cool

A partnership is something mutually beneficial. So both parties should mutually contribute.

A perfect car true will run 3-6months (tried and tested with a kia product) without giving major issues but a lot depends on driving style.
