News report bias is based on the side the reporter belongs. Op is sympathetic to the fulani, but I all can say is that there is no monopoly to violence.
Well, I agreed but:
The author of that report is Lami Sadiq; that name does not sound like the one that will be on the side of the Irigwe people!
The newspaper have editors that will approve reports to published and DailyTrust is known to be biased towards the North especially the Hausa-Fulanis!
The OP herself showed only two corpses from the Fulani side, corroborating the report of the DailyTrust.

While Nigeria was distracted by Obasanjo's long rambling essay, armed Irigwe ethnic militia were at work in Miango, Bassa LGA of Plateau state. In pictures; two herd boys Idris Musa and Anas Zakariyya murdered in cold blood while their cows were mowed in a senseless orgy of violence. Similar thing happened in Miango a few months ago, the attack on Fulani went unreported, but the reprisal attack went viral for weeks.

It's a reprisal attack from miago people. Fulani killed the people before. Stop misleading and spreading false information

Cattle is a cultural thing to the Fulani Man, they are a symbol of wealth and a source of pride, and a person's entire life revolves around the herds.

To a real Fulani, any pursuit other than a pastoral one, specifically the herding of cattle, is regarded as demeaning to themselves and insulting to Fula culture. Even sex, colour of the cattle and where they graze is ritually significant,

To a Fulani Man, cattle are a major sign of wealth, and are exchanged between a groom and his bride's family as a symbol of their bond (bridewealth). Essentially, their social use is to create or strengthen ties and loyalties.

Without Cattle, a Fulani Man is Mr, nobody, a outcast and a failure to the family. The Minority tribes in the NC, are aware of this, they still attack and rustle their cows. We the Fulani by our nature will always see an attack against our source of survival as an attack on our lives. This belief, understandly is cruel, because to me, no amount of herds of cattle can ever equate to the life of a single human being.

This is one reason why we should support any initiative, whether colony, protectorate, ranching, or whatever as long as its going to stop this cycle of madness.
Madame, you are an educated lady..the world is changing...its so sad that the Fulani herders have not caught up with new trends in agriculture.. This clashes will not stop until people like the Fulani learn to respect boundaries.. Instead of supporting nomadism, they should be encouraged to change their methods of cattle rearing..nomadic agriculture is no longer sustainable.. We are a country of about 180 million..the demand for for food keeps increasing
If the farmer cannot go to his farm comfortably where would you and I get food to eat..the people in the middle belt are simply protecting what is theirs..their lands, their farms and their harvest.. The Fulani's should learn to respect boundaries...

That dirty pride of ur people will soon be cut off if they think they will continue to hold the whole nation to ransom because of their nomadic nature of life.don't worry with the way ur nomadic tribe is going they will soon be endanger specie because virtually all the tribes in Nigeria have tasted their murderous nature and soon the rain will fall on ur people from all angle even ur Fulani army will not save the day when it happens.

Which Olu Falae?? How can 10 herdsmen burn 40 hectares of farmland that is guarded by vigilante? One hectare is about the size of two football fields if you don't know. Besides, we are yet to see the pictures of the farmland burned. PDP are just using him to whip sentiments amongst the SW.

NafessaAA I know u are a educated and intelligent fulani lady and this crises is directly an emotional issue to you and your people. I like this particular write up am quoting because even u know this senseless back and forth killings has to stop. The fulanis cant retaliate forever and still expect their herds to be safe in those hostile environments. Educated fulanis like you must take the lead in educating the bororos on need to accept ranching. I believe though u are fulani u are not nomadic and u enjoy ur sedentary lifestyle
I dont think u are evil like most ppl up thr, but think the issue is ppl expect u to be unbiased sometimes and accept blame for ur people (fulanis) sometimes. You really shouldn't like the fact that majority of nigerians now look at the fulani is the most blood thirsty tribe in nigeria, be an ambassador for ur people, interact with others and seek alternative conflict resolution

No free lands for any herdsman.

If you want to rear cattle as a business man, u purchase lands for ur ranches, which can be sited anywhere, not necessarily in the NC or in the South.

Buy your cattle or pride or whatever you feel that are to you and roam from Maiduguri to Sokoto. Surely that distance must be enough for your yu and your cattle.

Why must Fulani go where they are unwanted?

Just a few questions.

Have the fulani not been nomadic for decades? Why have we not have problems with them all these while? Why is it now that they would so brazenly lead their cows to destroy someone's farm?

Madam, the same way cattle is their pride and source of income is the same way a farm is the pride and life of a farmer. How do you expect your cattle to graze on and desecrate people's livelihood and expect no reaction?

Even a small child would know the difference between an uncultivated land and a cultivated one. Your herds men should stay away from people's lands and stop thinking that violence is the way.

I remember when cattle invaded my 2 hectare of freshly germinated cucumbers in Benin late 2016.. I almost went crazy. Had to lend money for emergency replanting and to erect a higher fence. For about a month after that incident, I so hated the sight of any cow ehn.. I even made resolutions to stop eating beef.

They should keep away from people's farm. And stop killing. No be only dem know where dem dey sell gun oh.
