those who are expecting to stay in the hospital for longer than a day, like me, start making plans. Pack extra everything or at least arrange for stuff to be brought to you from home during every visit. If you're a book person, take a novel with you. P[b]ersonally i plan to have plenty movies to pass the time cos it gets pretty boring from day 3.[/b][/b][b]

My dear, my bump started showing seriously at 9 weeks, will post pics as soon as I can. Thank God your pain is gone. Mine comes with any little stress like standing or walking for just 10 mins. The fibroids are around my cervix, I just have to continue pelvic rest.
Frequent urine and turning around when sleeping are sure bankers, no escaping that

My dear, I can't really say if mango don show. I ve not gone to the market since the Xmas shopping,but I saw some mangoes being sold even back then. Though it was the yellow/red variety which I don't eat, I calculated that mangoes should be fully in the market by now.

Make we start our countdown to mango massacre... grin

@lightedpath i saw one of ur post that says if the coconut oil wasn't homemade, that its best to switch to olive oil. I believe there are so many fakes out there..thats why u said so. Dyu know how to make it? Kindly share..

my method- break your coconut and bring out the meat. Cut into smaller sizes to help the blender. Blend with water till smooth. Seive the milk using something similar to what is used in making ogi. Put the milk in the fridge overnight. Water would have settled down and the milk and oil curdled up. Scrape the curdled milk into a pot and put on fire with low heat. Stir till brown . the oil will be out by now, scoop out the oil. There are other methods but I use this. Let me know if you have other questions

Congratulations to all mamas who have put to bed.
To the waddling mamas, May the Almighty God make it easy.
To we the upcoming waddlers, May God make it easy for us too.
If not for the laziness and food aversions that I have, I almost doubt if I'm pregnant, despite doing scan some weeks ago.
My stomach doesn't seem like anything is there, it is still flat I had to repeat PT strip test to reconfirm.
Lmp says we are 11 weeks and 6days

My fellow potential porters (curve . kekeakinwale.Happychildlove. Soonest. foreverjoy00. Elmaspeed. Showerses. youngmommypat.) are our bags packed yet?

I haven't packed for the hospital yet but i will soon. Let me share my list with us.

For mom:
1. Toiletries (bathing soap, cream, toothbrush and paste)
2. Sanitary pants/ pads (4 packs)
3. Toilet rolls (4 rolls)
4. Clean wrappers
5. Night wears, maternity bras, etc
6. Rubber slippers
7. Small black cellophane bag and old newspapers (disposables aren't disposed here without pre-packaging, which makes the waste bin less yucky)

For baby:
1. Toiletries (baby costmetics of your choice)
2. Baby wears (body suits, sleep suits)
3. Olive oil, menthylated spirit, cotton wool, cotton buds, antiseptic lotions
4. Baby shawls, baby sweater, socks, caps
5. Baby cup and spoon
6. Baby diapers
7. Flask for hot water

For those who are expecting to stay in the hospital for longer than a day, like me, start making plans. Pack extra everything or at least arrange for stuff to be brought to you from home during every visit. If you're a book person, take a novel with you. Personally i plan to have plenty movies to pass the time cos it gets pretty boring from day 3.

One more thing, ensure you ask questions during your antenatal classes concerning your birth center's policies so you can avoid unpleasant situations. If they are the kind that love to hold on to your leftover cotton wool or disinfectant or stuff like that, buy small packs of those things so you can leave them there without a fuss. If they are the kind that won't supply you hot water, arrange ahead for yours. Just prepare for the hours or days after birth, so there are no surprises.

I can't wait to start seeing our baby pictures. There shall be no loss in Jesus' name. Amen.

Finally i have packed my labour ward bag, it's remaining my mateenity ward bag.
For me i feel the days are moving too fast. I'm now on weekly ANC appointment. Braxton Hicks now no be small thing. May God make it easy for all of us.
FloraEC, i follow you waka o, nursing bras dont work for me. I prefer the support of good firm bras.

its Capri that i bought and i dont think i may be using it if i put to bed.. On testing it, they make my breast appear ugly and shapeless and flat.. angry

(maybe i was unlucky to get the fake one..who knows).

I normally use padded bras with iron..please what happens if you use that as a nursing mother? All other experienced mamas please chook mouth too
