Even though we know? Why must we train with the Indians? What have they done for Nigeria lately? Just asking
I think Pakistan has more than been there for Nigeria since this boko thing started, didn't hear much about India
BruncleZuma:

Funny thing is it was printed on the shirt, they got this during their training and should have been given new gear on arrival back to naija...having a flag from Pakistan even though we know we should have trained with the Indians (respect) tells alot about our military.

We have strong economic ties with India. What economic value is Pakistan (a harbor of terrorists) to Nigeria. India is overall more strategic to Nigeria than Pakistan. We just need to work on our diplomatic strength and we will get the needed military patnership with any country in the world.

Pakistan is a D8 member, we have strong Economic ties from LNG,agriculture, textile........
We also have strong military relationship dating back to decades & were helpful for our COIN
India is also a big Allie, in fact we have India Nigerian family generation doing business here for almost half a century, India helped set up the Nigerian defence academy
Both Countries are our allies military& economically

Nigeria have a strict policy of not choosing sides. We have strong relationship with both Pakistan and India. Our military relationship with Pakistan does not necessarily mean we have abandoned India. India is currently the highest importer of Nigerian crude. Our NDA is modelled after India's NDA. Pakistan started importing LNG from Nigeria very recently. But the fact is Pakistan has stood by us through hard times. I will also like to point out that India is close to the west militarily, which means US and her allies have certain influence in India. When push comes to shove India will choose US and her allies over Nigeria. While on the other hand even though Pakistan receives aid from US, they have their own mindset. And right now Pakistan is looking to grow it's military complex through export of their products, which means we can get them fast, cheap and easily.

@jjphilips. Stop trying to make it sound as if Nigeria supporting Palestine have something to do with religion. "as long as we have a Sunni CIC". What the heck is that suppose to mean? OBJ committed Nigeria to Palestine. When did OBJ became a "Sunni CIC"? Like I said earlier Nigeria does not choose sides. We voted against Israel but we still have strong military and economic relationship with Israel. If we abandoned Palestine just because US said so is bad for our public image. It portrays Nigeria as an unreliable ally who change sides just because the wind blows in that direction. Nigeria is bidding for a permanent seat in UNSC, we already have the support of China. What do you think will happen if Nigeria started acting like puppet to US? If the UNSC is ever expanded to include African countries, China, Russia and the West will look to bring in the country with history of neutrality so as not to increase the influence of the other.

With More fighters and also falling, until July 7, I was shot this week (week week) because only this week the air defense dropped 24 Israeli planes, 4 of which were shot down on the first day. Only most of them were f-4 Phantom fighters.
The Egyptian air defence force is an independent branch within the Egyptian Armed Forces, like the air force and the Egyptian Navy.
Egyptian Air Defense is the largest and most powerful air defense in Africa, the Arab world and the middle east.

All of the above are linked and fully integrated into the network of command and control of c4i and c5i of the production of the leading American Raytheon in defense industries, and these networks excel in their eastern way of integrating the entire air defense systems. East and west made in a single network can be driven from anywhere and it is worth mentioning that Egypt is manufacturing parts of the network network, especially the digital exchange system of the Binh E-Industries Company.

You raised some pertinent issues about Egypt and KSA.
First Trump has cancelled Egypt's military aid since last year so a tit for tat vote from Egypt is expected.
KSA is fighting a full scale war in Yemen, US is looking forward to sustaining that profit so it doesn't matter how KSA votes.
In our own case, we have on the table a one off deal and you think the smartest way to pull it off is voting against the US interest? Does it make any sense?

Fine, we may love Palestine for as long as we have a Sunni practicing CIC, but Boko haram is a priority that torpedoes religious sentiments, it is only the living that practise Islam.
Palestine has absolutely nothing to offer us, it is unwise to prioritize them above the US.

I took a day to respond to your comments because I believe your comments were and are in good faith.
Here is where you get it wrong.
Nigeria has history of going against apartheid regimes, Israel for lack of a better phrase is turning from a right wing regime into an Apartheid one. This is a personal opinion from someone who has actually admired Israel for a long time.
Israel and Nigeria have extensive diplomatic, agricultural and Military ties.
Military ties started during the Yaradua era, here is where you get it wrong religion has nothing to do with it.
The Shaldags were bought and paid for.
As recently as 2016 Military Instructors from Israel were training NAF special Forces .Buhari did not cancel the contract nor did the CAS ..
Training is based on capabilities.
Some of Nigeria's secret services still use the Uzis.
Nigeria wants the A29 and America wants to sell it to them and at $500million , One vote is not going to change that
Also put it in the perspective of it is only one procurement.Over the next 4-5Years, the NAF will make several procurements irrespective of how Nigeria votes and judging on the work done by the Israeli Military Private group and the ovation received they will be back too.
Lastly the last official statement on the deal by the US after the vote by Nigeria was the Ambassador and the CAS signing the Contract.

“Military authorities have revealed that the Nigerian army has completely defeated Boko Haram insurgents in the country.

The Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Rogers Nicholas said this on Saturday during the inauguration of the Nigeria-Cameroon military joint mission in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

According to General Nicholas, troops under the operation “Deep Punch II” had on Friday dislodged the insurgents for their tactical ground “Camp Zairo.”

“My soldiers are in the heart of Boko Haram enclave that is Camp Zairo. The gallant troops have taken total control of Sambisa forest. We have broken the heart and soul of Shekau’s group, taking over the camp and its environs.

“They are on the run and we are pursuing them to wherever they go. This time around there is no place for escape anywhere,” he said.”

VIDEO CLIP OF SILENT DRILL BY GRADUATING RECRUITS OF BASIC MILITARY TRAINING COURSE 38/2017

One of the highlights of the recent Passing Out Parade Ceremony for graduating recruits of Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 38/2017 was the silent drill by the recruits. The silent drill involved quite a number of perfectly synchronized moves on the parade ground without a commander shouting out orders. It is interesting to note that the participants, who only graduated from BMTC on 2 February 2018, were civilians about 6 months ago. Kudos must indeed go to their instructors and the NAF leadership for the conducive training environment. Click and enjoy...

I have seen pictures of Caucasian men,
I think this is a plausible explanation, under the auspices of the MJNTF and the G5 to which France and Nigeria are signatories. This is what is taking place. There are French as well as US Soldiers in Niger.I don't want to muddy the picture but both have personnel in Niger.
