Point of corrction: 8777 is CLB 9 and is not the best score for a PA. It is the minimum score for you to get the extra 25/50 points for education/ skills transferability.

To get the maximum score for English language skills, you need CLB 10 which is LRWS of 8.5,8,7.5,7.5. This will give you a total of 128 points while 8777 will give you 116 (I think, you may confirm) points.

Even if someone entered the pool with the 7.5,77, it is unlikely the person will get up to 400 points, it is really of no use except you just want to be in the pool early such that after updating new scores you can beat the tie rule if it ever applies to you.

ADVICE PLS...

I started working in a government hospital in June 2013. Fortunately for me, I got a scholarship to study in the UK which I started in January 2015, invariably means I "left" the job in January 2015. Prior to leaving, I wrote a letter to the management to grant me study leave which after many bureaucratic hurdles, it was granted in June 2015. Although, I decided that whether they grant it or not, am leaving.

After the study leave approval, my salary and allowances which was stopped was paid and I was paid up till December 2016. I finished my studies in the UK in May 2016 and since then, I am still in the UK doing one or two things. Legally though.

My question now is:

1. If I want to write my work experience date, is it supposed to be from June 2013 till December 2016 when my salary was stopped or January 2015 when I left for UK?

2. Because I left and never returned to the job, I couldn't go to the Admin department to get a reference letter but my manager/supervisor gave me a reference letter when I visited Nigeria last year which covers from June 2013 to January 2015. Should I use the reference letter or I should just humble myself and use my payslips that covers from the month I started work till December 2016?

I actually preferred to get the reference letter from my supervisor because she was the only one who understand and knows my job description. As we know that most government establishment doesn't have job description for employees.

3. The letter my supervisor gave me was on a letter-head paper with his email and phone number. If they need to verify, who will they contact? I checked the hospital website but they don't have a functional contact number or email address.

4. If I get ITA and am asked to upload reference letter, should I upload the letter my supervisor gave me and payslip to back it up or I should wait until they require me to back the reference letter up with additional documents?

I will attempt to answer this question from a very safe point of view.
First what did you claim as per number of years while you were entering the pool?
Did you claim you have experience from the hospital until Jan 2015 or Dec 2016?
If your HR is contacted tomorrow (not your supervisor oh) and they ask when you left, what will the representative of your organisation say?
Even if they don't like your face but they were to give a factual representation of when you joined and left the organisation, what will be their response? I think the answer should guide you here.

I personally believe the safest thing is to state the organisations's point of view as your response to when you left. From this thread and other Canadian Immigration thread online, i have observed CIC sometimes jumps protocol of asking a supervisor/Manager and writes directly to the HR Department. Sometimes this tends to bring bad blood between a supervisor/Manager versus HR. Especially in an organisation where the HR has their own way of handling these sort of things. You alone know how your former organisation behaves or what they might say.

The above may or may not be your case but how can we tell who the officer handling your case would contact or the information they may be content with? If i were in your shoes, I may go ahead with the supervisor's letter especially if i can't contact HR or they refuse to respond to me. If CIC asks for payslip/bank statement in addition, i will tender what i have and state in a LOE why the payments continued until 2016. I think the key is being honest while one errs on the side of caution.

[s]As for the absconding bit, CIC is not a morality contest at least nor be army officer you be. Its not cool yeah but its a morality thing and not an illegal thing. [/s] lipsrsealed

Is a reference letter from my line manager/supervisor tenable instead of from Director of Admin or HR?

Also, my partner did only IELTS but not ECA ecaluation. Will I fill in her education details in the EE application. She has an MSc degree which we didn't evaluate.

- It is safer and more efficient for you to obtain the reference letter from your Director of Admin/HR. He/she is likely to be contacted if/when your employment history is subjected to additional verification.
- If you fill in your spouse's education in your EE profile, you'd be required to provide ECA report (which you do not have). Leave it out, but you'd have to include it in personal history post ITA since you didn't claim points for it

I greet everyone in this wonderful house.

Pls I read somewhere in the where somebody used a valuation for his property as a POF.

Pls can someone point me to that link or throw more light.

Thanks

I doubt the existence of such here.
Maybe you have it mixed up with explanation of lump sum in SoA from sale of property. You'd need to provide details of ownership, proof of sale/deed of transfer and any other document that'll sufficiently back up any such lump sums.
As for using valuation of property as PoF, that's not feasible.
Funds must be readily available to you. For example, you can't use equity on real property as proof of settlement funds. See HERE

Hello house,

am very much new to the thread. I will like to ask if it is possible to combine IELTS results? I wrote two exams and i was thinking if i could use the both of them in the application.
Secondly, has anyone tried to evaluate with WES, certificates from schools of hygiene and Lagos state teaching hospitals (LUTH) and what was your experience?

Thanks in advance.

My dear, you can't. You need to dust yourself up, be encouraged, get yourself prepared and get your desired scores in one sitting. The Lord is your strength.

Good day house, I thought to share this piece of information as it might be helpful to those looking for affordable flights to Canada. I had tried all the search engines and the cost I saw were just ridiculous till I came across a travel agency that deals in affordable flights especially for those relocating to Canada. I was able to get ticket on Lufthansa for a family of 4 for 998000 as against 1400000 other agencies were quoting. So for those interested it is 3A travel agency and you can reach him on 0708 670 4912.

I'm not familiar with this. CIC states thus "...you can't use equity on real estate property as proof of settlement funds". So, the funds must be cash or near cash i.e readily available.

Pls what do you think about getting a valuation for a residential property and using the valuation as a proof of fund.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by jelmusboy(m): 4:09pm On Feb 04, 2018
I claimed from June 2013 to January 2015 just because I was not in active service after January 2015 even with a study leave approval. I don't want any query that's why I am not claiming point for when I was not in active service.

I don't know what the HR will say about when I left the organization. That's left to them honestly.

As you've said, it is a morality thing and not illegality and I can explain and back-up all my claims with appointment letter and pay slips.

Thanks for your kind contribution.

I filled in her education history but I picked NO in the question that was asked if I did ECA for her or not. So, I wasn't awarded any point for it.

I think that's the way to do it.

It is advisable that you add her at any time after AoR but before landing. That way, your CRS won't be recalculated. This implies that your wedding date ought to be within that period as well.
The expectation is that you notify CIC if/when there are changes to your profile or family composition. So, eyebrows could be raised if you get married after receiving an ITA but only indicate after AoR. You might even be penalized

Hi, it appears we are in the same boat as I got LAA from MPNP as well.

Would appreciate someone who has gone through this process to shed more light on it especially on how long it usually takes for the nomination to go through after submitting the application with Manitoba.

Also I want to use this as a backup option as I am more keen on ITA from EE. I'm presently on 427 and wifey just took IELTS last Thursday so we are hoping if she aces it we will have additional 20 points which we hope will be enough to fetch ITA.

Hello all,
Please i am new here. I just got LAA to apply for Manitoba provincial nominee, at the same time i would really love to understand the timeline of Permanent resdence application. I have been seeing some abbreviations lije AOR,IP1, ADR, MEP, NA2,IP2, PPR. Please can someone exlain in full what they mean and what to do at each stage.

I would also like to know the timeline for the MPNP. Is there anyone who has applied, how long did the process take?

Thank you

Please what is the best way of paying for this IETLS exam. I was at GTB today to pay to do a transfer to Standard chartered as described in my confirmation email using my reference code but the bank says that the account number is wrong. And i used the 6 digits provided with my month code and last 2 digits of my passport as account number. Please i need to make this payment
It's only through transfer you can use that 6 digit code, and a combination of passport number and exam month code. Anything over the counter must be through bankdraft. You are In Lagos, I ll advise you use bank draft and take it to ikoyi yourself for immediate confirmation. Sometimes, the bank transfer method could be very frustrating as they may not be able to verify your payment for a week and getting them on the phone is hard than getting a Canada visa.

Will wait till tomorrow before sending them another one. They used to accept online card payment when i wrote my first ielts in 2015.

Was surprised it was no longer an option this year and yes bank draft is alot simpler option. I couldn't submit on Friday so im submitting my bank draft bright and early tomorrow

The spouse has educational qualification. He should include it and check no where he is asked whether it was asessed or not, then he will get placeholder for her education, he should put the unassesed certificates. It is not a problem.
