No wahala. However, that your "least best" is funny, let us not continue writing or thinking this way so that British Council will not continue "chopping" our money. rchilee: 1 Like |

jelmusboy: I will attempt to answer this question from a very safe point of view. First what did you claim as per number of years while you were entering the pool? Did you claim you have experience from the hospital until Jan 2015 or Dec 2016? If your HR is contacted tomorrow (not your supervisor oh) and they ask when you left, what will the representative of your organisation say? Even if they don't like your face but they were to give a factual representation of when you joined and left the organisation, what will be their response? I think the answer should guide you here. I personally believe the safest thing is to state the organisations's point of view as your response to when you left. From this thread and other Canadian Immigration thread online, i have observed CIC sometimes jumps protocol of asking a supervisor/Manager and writes directly to the HR Department. Sometimes this tends to bring bad blood between a supervisor/Manager versus HR. Especially in an organisation where the HR has their own way of handling these sort of things. You alone know how your former organisation behaves or what they might say. The above may or may not be your case but how can we tell who the officer handling your case would contact or the information they may be content with? If i were in your shoes, I may go ahead with the supervisor's letter especially if i can't contact HR or they refuse to respond to me. If CIC asks for payslip/bank statement in addition, i will tender what i have and state in a LOE why the payments continued until 2016. I think the key is being honest while one errs on the side of caution. [s]As for the absconding bit, CIC is not a morality contest at least nor be army officer you be. Its not cool yeah but its a morality thing and not an illegal thing. [/s] Let the seniors and HR specialist join mouth in this matter. 4 Likes |

jelmusboy: - It is safer and more efficient for you to obtain the reference letter from your Director of Admin/HR. He/she is likely to be contacted if/when your employment history is subjected to additional verification. - If you fill in your spouse's education in your EE profile, you'd be required to provide ECA report (which you do not have). Leave it out, but you'd have to include it in personal history post ITA since you didn't claim points for it |

pepe1: I doubt the existence of such here. Maybe you have it mixed up with explanation of lump sum in SoA from sale of property. You'd need to provide details of ownership, proof of sale/deed of transfer and any other document that'll sufficiently back up any such lump sums. As for using valuation of property as PoF, that's not feasible. Funds must be readily available to you. For example, you can't use equity on real property as proof of settlement funds. See HERE |

Good day house, I thought to share this piece of information as it might be helpful to those looking for affordable flights to Canada. I had tried all the search engines and the cost I saw were just ridiculous till I came across a travel agency that deals in affordable flights especially for those relocating to Canada. I was able to get ticket on Lufthansa for a family of 4 for 998000 as against 1400000 other agencies were quoting. So for those interested it is 3A travel agency and you can reach him on 0708 670 4912. 16 Likes 11 Shares |

I'm not familiar with this. CIC states thus "...you can't use equity on real estate property as proof of settlement funds". So, the funds must be cash or near cash i.e readily available. pepe1: |

I claimed from June 2013 to January 2015 just because I was not in active service after January 2015 even with a study leave approval. I don't want any query that's why I am not claiming point for when I was not in active service. I don't know what the HR will say about when I left the organization. That's left to them honestly. As you've said, it is a morality thing and not illegality and I can explain and back-up all my claims with appointment letter and pay slips. Thanks for your kind contribution. stonecoldcafe: 1 Like |

I filled in her education history but I picked NO in the question that was asked if I did ECA for her or not. So, I wasn't awarded any point for it. I think that's the way to do it. mcstan18: |

engrjoseph208: It is advisable that you add her at any time after AoR but before landing. That way, your CRS won't be recalculated. This implies that your wedding date ought to be within that period as well. The expectation is that you notify CIC if/when there are changes to your profile or family composition. So, eyebrows could be raised if you get married after receiving an ITA but only indicate after AoR. You might even be penalized |

Please those have evaluated with Ices should kindly help me. |

Hi, it appears we are in the same boat as I got LAA from MPNP as well. Would appreciate someone who has gone through this process to shed more light on it especially on how long it usually takes for the nomination to go through after submitting the application with Manitoba. Also I want to use this as a backup option as I am more keen on ITA from EE. I'm presently on 427 and wifey just took IELTS last Thursday so we are hoping if she aces it we will have additional 20 points which we hope will be enough to fetch ITA. o2: 2 Likes |

ashiwajew:It's only through transfer you can use that 6 digit code, and a combination of passport number and exam month code. Anything over the counter must be through bankdraft. You are In Lagos, I ll advise you use bank draft and take it to ikoyi yourself for immediate confirmation. Sometimes, the bank transfer method could be very frustrating as they may not be able to verify your payment for a week and getting them on the phone is hard than getting a Canada visa. 2 Likes |

Having the same problem with ielts payment. I was able to successfully pay using the gt mobile transfer app but when I sent a mail to them that is ng.ielts.payment @britishcouncil.org I got an immediate response saying that the email address entered cannot be found. Will wait till tomorrow before sending them another one. I have evidence of payment attached to the email I sent to BC. the combination I used showed me my name and then beneficiary bank was standard chartered bank. What other action should I take guys?? Thanks all |

nestkojex: They used to accept online card payment when i wrote my first ielts in 2015. Was surprised it was no longer an option this year and yes bank draft is alot simpler option. I couldn't submit on Friday so im submitting my bank draft bright and early tomorrow |

The spouse has educational qualification. He should include it and check no where he is asked whether it was asessed or not, then he will get placeholder for her education, he should put the unassesed certificates. It is not a problem. mcstan18: 1 Like |
