Got to the embassy gate around 5:58 am " the one that demarcates American and German Embassy" come see crowd for there "American embassy people reach like dem wan go do crusade"
Got to German consulate by 6:01 am. Had to greet those on queue "they are visit visa" (E no concern).
Paulinus appeared around 6:09 am and started singing morning devotion songs from his android phone. The guy is just too principled and bit unethical "he told one OLD woman to sit behind even as there was no space for her to pass to go and sit behind as those in front were even willing to go back because of her age" be wary of him.
He called on student visa applicants "I was the only one on ground, so he called on me demanding for my appointment letter and passport"
We started sorting documents and on the long run asked of my baptism or vassination card, I told him I don't have and he said why? I told him I'm a Muslim and he said he's not talking about religion here that even Muslims have "with his ugly fair face". He started reasoning others applicants issue. He told me authoritatively that if any documents are missing and was told to go bring them, he wouldn't let me in anymore.
Successfully, I crossed his shackles constructed route.
Inside the security phase those guys were forming gods as if they are the one to gv me visa. Them too do like boss, I Register my name and passed through.
I was directed to go through the green line which I did. Entered the office and was shivering because of the cold and had to move back Cos of the A/C, very very cold.
I was called in by the VO "one small black Nigerian" (very gorgeous though but pulls in commanding character, from her charismatic self)
She started by
Ur documents, Ur original Certificates, Ur Visa fee, Ur courier envelope "thought I forgot that, she gave a command that I should go get it within 3 minutes" while the thing dey my documents.

Firstly He/she goes to the auslanderbehorde of his/her city to book an appointment date that he needs a VERPFLICHTUNGSERKLARUNG on basis of study for someone he/she wants to sponsor. And he/she would be given a date

He/She is not under schufer (debt) list

He/She Has €720 left after all his/her monthly bills has been settled

His/Her job contract

6 month pay slip

His/Her passport / Reipass

His/Her Permanent address in DE

Then he/she should have the documents of the person he/she wants to sponsor

Like:

Admission letter

Nigerian passport and Nigerian address of the person he/she is sponsoring

And the address you are going to in Germany (ur school address should serve as ur address for now)

Many thanks to you brother, may God bless you more for us. Amen

Congratulations BabaEuro, please I would like to find out if I can use my IELTS result which i wrote in 2015 to secure admission for winter 2018 in Germany. Thanks in advance for the answer.
This inquiry is also for all experienced forumites, thanks in anticipation and apologies for the trouble.
NO! You cannot use your 2015 IELTS to secure admission for winter 2018, as IELTS can only be used for a maximum of 2 years from the date the IELTS result is published, many school insist on maximum of 2 years ....I will advice you to apply to schools that uses CERTIFICATE OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY from your alma mater as an alternative to IELTS/TOEFL .Another option is for you to write another you write another IELTS.

Your date is not bad but you still have limited time, hence try and fund as fast as possible so that nothing will delay their processing.
As for the courier, you can use DHL but the cost depend on your location.Within Lagos,it cost me 1150 naira to get it in German embassy 2 days prior to my interview date.If you are in PH, it can cost up to 4500 naira.
As for your funding,it depends on which method of funding you want to use ...Transfer from your domiciliary account to Block account OR Form A.
I transferred from my domiciliary account and within 48 hours it was delivered and automatically got my confirmation of block account, but also factor in transfer fees.I really don't have experience in using Form A.

Only the Mechanical Engineering course is fully taught in English, others are in German. So you have to learn German or apply to other English taught programmes in other schools.

Cellphones are not problem. you can come with 7 if you like but the bag is the problem. Talking of Paulinus, anyways the only problem I had with him was the bag issue, nothing else but the way he was treating other ppl, older ppl was uncalled for. Shouting at them even when not necessary puts pressure and increases tension in them.

you can do your job strictly without doing none of that!!

True!

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Metabolite01: 10:49am On Feb 07, 2018
facelessBeing:
you are right. if you have the required documents and their number of copies and arrive at the venue on time and also adhere to his instructions and overlook his rants, you wouldn't have problems. why would someone come to an interview with cellphones and later you would be running upandan on where to drop it. I left mine at home and switched it off. Not having my phone for at least 4hrs would not kill me for a very important dream I am chasing. Even if you heard that visa fee is N28k please don't go with exactly 28k, go with extra money too, it is still your MONEY if the amount didn't pass 28k. People should get FOLDERS/BIG ENVELOPS and put their documents and avoid carrying bags or back-pack bags. I had a leather folder which I used to arrange my docs neatly during mine.People are the cause of the problems at the embassy and they would blame it on PAULINUS. Yes he rants arrogantly but that is well enough for everyone to adequately prepare one's self before going to the interview/venue

Ya, u correct and I strongly agree with you. But I also guess maybe u are based in Lagos so you may not have any need of going with any other stuffs.

Going with ur fon is not an offense because ull be asked to turn it off and keep dem inside the locker. Also, going with ur bag especially when its in accordance with the specifications of the embassy.

I'm not based in Lagos and I needed to travel back to my state immediately after the interview, so I needed to go wit my small back bag. Leaving it in the hotel I lodged wasn't really nice because it was in the mainland and if my things remain in the hotel room until 12noon, then I'll pay for another full day even when I've already made up my mind to travel dat same day no matter the time or situation. So I was very careful with the size of my bag but I dnt know why Mr. Paulinus didnt allow it. He even said he is not going to measure it because he knew if he had done dat, then I'll definitely meet d specifications with even some more xtra spaces.

Well in conclusion, for those who are yet to go for ur interview. Pls try not to go with any bag except its those female handbag of ladies (not those nursing l/nanny hand bags dat look like traveling bag oo. Lol). If for any reason u intend going with ur bags maybe because u intend traveling back after ur interview, just give it to those pple inside d hustling space before the main entrance to the embassy (with 1k or 2k ur bag will be securely kept) or if u're driving to the embassy then u can leave it inside ur car or if u are going to the embassy with someone (not someone dat also has his/her interview) then the person can keep/hold ur bag for yoh while u go in for ur interview.

Just an advice!

Lol, dnt worry much about the arrangement.
Just arrange it anyway you can because when you get there Mr. Paulinus will definitely give you an arranging format to follow.

Brother do not let that bother you,It is part of strategy,If you aren't bold enough then you cannot face success.(I have seen people who went back home angrily cos they thought they were too big to obey Mr Paulinus, If someone really want to pursue german goal then would obey the Mr Paulinus. Infact back then, we use to call him 'First Consular' because without his authorisation,No visA for you which means no Germany for you.).He once sent the likes of Kcee and top managers away in front of me.When you get to Germany someday, you get to understand that Germany is very strict and might sound rude because we Nigerians love nepotism.

Nice one Bro
Obedience and calmness are actually the key to avoid/overcome any trouble from Mr. Paulinus because he hates it when you disobey his orders and also when you argue with him thereby making it seem he doesn't know what he is doing.

The nickname: First consular got me laughing.

hello room..is there any way possible for one to attain a student visa without opening a block account??

Definitely yes.
Through scholarship from either German Government or any European organization.
Then also through a sponsor (SL) from someone who works and has a permanent residence in Germany

Hello to the house. I just started following this thread and I have truly learnt about a lot from here. I finally got a date for March 21 and my enrolment deadline is April 6th and also have a funded block account. Is it still advisable to attend the interview and hopeful to get a visa before the enrolment deadline. Just curious

No harm in trying.
If u read posts from last winter you would discover that its still very possible although its also risky as the embassy advice 4-6wks time frame.
But like u would have read from recent testimonies, A.M came as fast as 3 working days and less dan 3 weeks despite d break in festive season. Moreova u've already funded!

But I'll also advice u ask your school for enrollment deadline instead of canceling ur appointment or postponing ur school dreams except u've also confirmed from your school if admission deferral is possible.

Hello guys.
Pls I need a breakdown information on what is needed for a successful interview. I have a program with the UN by 2nd week of march. Which my invitation letter might state one to two week.
And most importantly can I apply for an extension of stay (legally) after the program?

Its obvious u're applying for a schengen visa. To my best knowledge, schengen visa cannot be extended in Germany, u need come back and apply for the right long term visa (study, work or family reunion)
