What airline wouldnt require me having a transit visa to travel to the states?
I dont have any other visa except US on my passport.
Do i need to get a schengen or middle east transit visa b4 i can go?

You don't need transit visa for Delta, Emirates, Turkish, Royal Air Maroc, Qatar, Etihad..

Maybe also KLM, Lufthansa, Ethiopian (make sure the flight direct to Newark, not passing through Canada), Virgin Atlantic and British Airways (make sure there is no change of terminal sha: the first group above are certain).

Like if one doesnt step out of the airport, it wouldnt be required ya?

From what I know.
So long as you dont leave the airport, you wont require transit visa except US, UK and Canada...to my knowledge.
If you have long layover, when booking you will be told that you need a transit visa to leave the airport, and come back later for the final leg of the flight e.g. UAE, Ethiopia...to my knowledge.
Alternatively, there are hotels in airports where you can lounge without crossing immigration e.g Dubai...to my knowledge.
But its always good to check the information online.
I recommend Emirates, you probably get to see Dubai before continuing your trip.

My transcript. interview time was 10:30 am. Queue was so long. After biometrics I was interviewed at Window 7 by a young white guy. he was flowing well with the people at my front, a couple, then he denied them. they were so devastated, I got scared.

@zimzee read that transcript and decode it. The fellow had no travel history, the V.O weighed her/his school immediately (Check school ranking, we have A'list schools). They ain't psychologist the way we hype them. The said gurus here turned me down like sey I won come win people heart. (who needs that )

Congrats I noticed knowing someone in US army is ur strong point, my friend visa was approved last month also and is point of contact also works in the US army.

My good people here, I stumble on this three. A closed friend need urgent advise. He did is masters online and graduated last year August, the school has invited him and his family for graduation ceremony this May. He has paid the visa fees and filled the online form. Waiting for his interview feb 20. But something came up. Sometimes in 2003 his late uncle brought a lady from u.s and they did court registry. Along the line the visa wasn’t issued and no biometric then. He has actually forget that incident existed and couldn’t even remember what really transpired then. He has travelled to 7 schegen countries, and others. All he could recall was, the passport name then was okaka Alexander. But he has since been using another biometric passport which is okaka Alex Omo and the date of birth change too. He has already filled his form that he has never apply before and he has no body in u.s. nothing he can really recall in that 15years ago incident. He is doing well in Nigeria now. Please advise

The V.O will not issue you a visa if you're not sponsoring your trip no matter what, as an adult except in exceptional case... the only thing you can do is make the publisher sponsor your trip and how much do you make monthly and lastly what's your travel history/martial status?

I am single. I have never travelled out of Nigeria before. I don't have a fixed salary as I earn depending on the sales of my books on each quarter. Right now I have 540k in my account. My friend in America who is inviting me over will be covering the housing, feeding and flight tickets as I mentioned earlier. My publisher here in Nigeria (not yet registered as a company) is new in the industry and cannot afford all the papers and money to sponsor my trip. Please advise me more.

To be honest I don't know what to say because whatever I say will only to discourage you but this is the truth... What if your friend is unable to help you or is not available to assist you when you get to U.S how do you survive?
As far as I know you're not ready for this trip if you look deep inside of you and also whatever you wanted to research in the Library of Congress is online so my own opinion is that you want to migrate to U.S.
