Using sniper will be hard around such area. The best thing is to make use of ground Intel who are going to either kidnap. Shooting around that area won't be a good idea as there are over 100 police stationed there both uniformed and those on mufti.

Planes in general are fairly fragile when it comes to AA. Even the "flying tanks" like the A10, Su 25, and old IL2 are/were susceptible to good air defense. Don't let this persuade you that the Tucano will be easily shot down. With proper Intel the Tucano could kill the zsu truck from well out of range.

People dont know this but the A-10 had to be withdrawn from front-line service during the invasion of Iraq because they were getting wrecked by Republican Guard AAA. F-16's replaced them. Russian Su-25's in Georgia were left with a combat effectiveness of 35% after that short war because so many platforms took AAA hits. Ukranians were smart enough to keep their Su-25's well out of harms way... even now that the Russian missile umbrella over the dombass has been retracted.

Frankly, the era of the dedicated CAS platforms is over - some could argue that its been over since the 1970's. Despite what John McCain may think, the future of CAS is PGM's dropped from B-1 lancers at 30,000ft.

The only time dedicated CAS platforms can come into play is when your dominance over your opponent is so extreme that they are only able to deploy light infantry. If they have any heavy weapons at all, and if they even vaguely know how to use them.... you are going to have a very bad time.
