The Paras follow the Army and Thunderbolt in their choice of designated marksman rifle and sniper.

Meaning the Remington M24 and SiG SSG 3000. Both are primarily used by Recce elements but have also been seen in use by assualters.

The RPG-7 also features with the Paras. While its anti tank capabilties have been blunted by the rapid up armouring of MBTs and IFVs it is still has a lot to offer.

Fragmentation and thermobaric rounds great for use against personnel or structures. Can fire illum rounds too.

In an Army that gets very little range and trigger time one has to question just how familiar the Egypt army paras are with each riffle

Unsure how many SiGs and M4s there are within the armouries of the Paras but likely enough to fully equip their Special Operations/Para SF battalion and other specialised units.

There's also a recurring theme of Officers using M4s or SiGs in AKM equipped platoons.

The additional Egyptian army RDF units & security forces units show with M-60 tanks / Sherpa-2 APCs / Humvee / YPR-765 / Fahd APC, during the war inspection before heading to #Sinai to participate in the largest counter-terror op "#Sinai2018" .

I don’t think special forces need IFVs, there’s this new breed of very capable Light armored vehicles like the Turkish Ejder yalcin.

they also need mortars, improved night fighting capabilities, portable UAVs and reliable close air support either from NAF or NA air wing (whenever they decide to come online).

That is barrel burst , might be due to barrel bending as a result of uneven thermal heating , but I thought leopard had thermal sleeve, maybe it did not work.

Not sure though ,
Another reason could be barrel wear ( in which case the barrel needs to be replaced )

Honestly! No recovery in sight, unless the army reduces the tempo and reverts back to gear 1.

For now the relentless offensive posture seem to be working wonders.

simply china has the cash to fund such a venture,compare with russia which has different priorities e.g weaponry acquisition,upgrade of aging platforms and welfare of its personnel with dwindling resources
