Ok looks good but im factoring in cars with 2.2/2.4 Engines e.g (Camry 2.4 and Pug 407 2.2) which should increase average consumption to assumed consumption at 14L/100km

The General assumption is that whatever amount you spend as cost or total trips within a Monday- sunday Uber week should come to a minimum of ×2.5 Or x3 of what you spend on fuel.some using corolla even boast of x4 but inside that you still have to factor fuel for the fresh week.
I currently use a PUG 407 2.2 and fuel has been a major headache as the car is doing 18ltr/100km instead of an expected 10-12ltr/100km I changed my O2 sensor yesterday but yet to see marked improvement as yet but I just discovered the cat con was also removed but people and analysis seem to show it does not affect fueling but i would know by Saturday. SO What ave been doing is I take note of every fuel purchase for the week as against total recorded Uber trips right now am on x2 so am seriously struggling in my own case .
Hope that should be a better way for you to judge for your vehicle.although I also do a lot of personal trips of mine and am not a full time Uber driver...

airconditioning is not that simple.
Replacing the compressor does not guarantee it will last long, a lot is involved. Most people are used to the crude method replacing parts. There is cause and effect. Effect could be a damaged compressor, but what is cause? wink

At least corolla owners have been advised.

People who have reached me privately, regarding prices of corolla parts appreciate.

What I advise the guy, won't cause any harm, and he can do it himself without spending penny.

BTW Romeo3 welcome back.

To begin with, it's N60/km and not N55
Then where did u hide the N200 base fare and N11/min.
Using your 100km case study, some assumptions must be included so the calculation should look like...
60*100 = 6000
11*300 = 3300 (assuming it takes 5 hrs to complete 100km)
200*7 = 1400 (assuming it takes 7 trips to cover 100km)
Therefore gross = 10700
Net = gross - fuel (in the absence of other expenses)
.: net = (0.75 * 10700) - 2100 = 5925
Still a very low return on investment IMO

abilityC:
Guys im trying to figure profitability or not please help me out.
55naira per Km
Car counsumes 14L per 100km
assuming fuel price is at 150

Hence 14 * 150 = 2100 (Fuel cost)
55 * 100 = 5500 (Gross earnings)
0.25 * 5500 = 1375 (Uber commission)

2100 + 1375 = 3475 (Assumed total cost)

5500-3475 = 2025 (Profit or assumed Net Earnings)
Does that mean to get 20,250 Naira profit i need to drive 1000 KM?

Don't be surprise all this analysis posted here, by GAZZUZZ might be copy and paste.

Whenever I have a problem with my car, I research via Google, those white mechanics post all information online free.

It was the information I gathered on Google, I was able to resolve most of my car problems without spending too much.

Greetings to everyone,

Please I need advise o; right now I have a 2008 corolla, highway mileage of 140,000 km, in a very good shape and maintenance through Toyota up to date. My plan is to ship it to Nigeria from Canada before year end and register the vehicle with ulber for a weekly pay of 25k.

My question is, if this car meets ulber standards and if a driver will be willing to pay 25K weekly?

Since 10k has become a bone of contention, let me help you.

Tell your technician to provide you with the following information and I will tell you exactly what to change on your air-conditioning system that will make it function perfectly.

1.present Colour of compressor oil. E.g clear, light brown, dark.

2. Discharge all refrigerant, pull a vacuum @ 13psi on high and low side wait 3hours and record readings.

3. Pull vacuum again and recharge system with 0.5gramms of 134a refrigerant.

4. Start engine, record exact engine speed.

5. Turn on a/c leave to run for 2mins record engine spped.

6. Record values of a/c pressures on high and low side with ambient temperature @ 29-30degrees celcius.

7. Record values of a/c pressures on high and low side with ambient temperature @ 32-40degrees celcius.

8. Record cabin temp in number 6 above.

9. Record cabin temp in number 7 above.

10. Set engine speed to 2000rpm and record values of high and low sides of airconditioning.

11. Ensure coolant temp readings for every step is recorded.

12. if "2" above drops to about -1 to -6psi in three hours, install U.V dye in system, run airconditioning system for another 3hours then use U.V light to detect patches of U.V dye on a.c lines and compressor area. Record all results.

13. Disassemble glove of compartment, use electronic sniffer to check for leaks from evaporator.

14. Discharge all refrigerant, block off entry and exit points on a/c line to evaporator, pull vacuum and record values after 3hours.

15. Disconnect lines to compressor, block off lines, pull vacuum and record values after 20mins

16. Disconnect lines to condenser, pull vacuum and recored values. After 20mins

17. Do a visual inspection of fins of radiator and condenser. Clear all blockage.

You do not have to pay a diagnosis fee to me.

Just provide more info and I will tell you what the exact faulty parts are.

Gazzuzz.

Guys you can do uber with any car,
as long as it's clean, comfortable and has some distraction. you also need the right attitude.

Introducing my Avensis 1998 2002 wagon.

From 6pm- 12mid night most days I drive to the airport and I get trips, and if you see the expression on the faces of passages when they see me (it's all joy) car was designed to haul luggage.

Overall good ratings. Just place A.Y live into the DVD and they will all laugh to their destinations. I wanted to sell this baby before, but since the experiment, she's a keeper, a backup car for when any of my drivers needs a repair job. No downtime wink

from my experiments and rough calculations it is good to use a 2008 corrola, but you can still maximize your capital and get double the return on your investment.

Let me explain further.

2008 corrola, market price about 3m.

Kia rio 2007-2009 market price 1.3-1.5m max

Delivery per week on both vehicles = same amount.

Why not sell corrola and buy 2 other brands not necessarily rio? wink
