Picture that a lady defied her father's instructions to not marry a guy. She got disowned by her father. She lost every affiliation with her family and friends for the guy. Yet, after eloping with the guy.. She suddenly discovers that the guy is married and has said he could not marry her for whatever reasons

Here, these are best friends for crying out loud, they were never in love romantically and never promised marriage to one another for Pete's sake! What the guy did was so brave no doubt but that doesn't mean the girl must marry him as a compensation for what he did even when she has no feelings for him. It's marriage we are talking about here, come on!

Funny enough, when I saw this thread, I didn't want to comment initially. Until I was discussing with a friend offline about it. He even drew my attention to what a lot of people were saying about it. Now I'm pushed to write what I told him about this.

"I will marry him o. God help me not to be stupid about this kind of thing because that kind love & devotion no dey two abeg. It's Divine!

The guy's love is outta this world. My lips will be better twisted if I call him a fool. That's love. In it's Divine, purest and selfless form. It's priceless. And the guy is still gracious enough to want to remain friends with her. That man is God-sent to her. Yes, she doesn't owe him marriage or accepting his proposal because they weren't dating before. I agree. But they were best friends. And i thought people who marry as best friends make the best couple. Even if I'm wrong, all i'm thinking now is, who else could she find that will be better than he is? What else will she say she's looking for in a man that the guy doesn't have?"

Well, the lady asked for time. Maybe she will change her mind. I Pray she does.
