Mediatek phones are phones whose processors are labelled MTK659..or MTK Helio P2...

u read the phone specs, its always there.

You can also check the phone by going to About, in the phone settings.
Mtk is also referred to as Decacore so u might see decacore instead of mtk.

My brother,not only Tecno, I brought infinix note 2 last year around January at slot ikeja, nothing happen to the phone on till early this year when i was just charging it,when i came to check my phone if it has been fully charged i found that the phone is off,before i knew what is happening I was told that the panel has got spoiled,to replace the panel now I was told is 19k, I don tire for all this useless phones, I just got myself a Nokia5 last 2weeks am enjoying it... They always bring scrap phones to Nigeria...so bad.

Story for the gods. Even a brand new car can malfunction or breakdown after payment from the car shop.
All the Infinix I ever used and currently using havent been fixed for any issue.
My Note 3 pro is still breathing and soon be ready to be given to a new owner for Infinix Zero 5.
By the way my first Tecno was Tecno F5. Used. Never fixed. Sold and upped to Infinix Hot Note. Used. Never fixed. Gave out. Upped to Infinix Note 2 Pro. Used. Never fixed. Sold. Same they told mr with my w3 I was just browsing it just went off and dats it I took it to their service center dey said I will need to change d panel ..I don't think dis guys knows anything Oda Dan change the panel that's all dey teach dem..

But your device is meant to be covered with warranty. Did you tell them that?

I have been using my infinix hot note Pro since October 2015 till date. The only time I ever fixed anything there was the charging port which suffered same fast charging defection which costed me as at then just #2500 to fix. However it got spoilt again but spent lesser to fix this time around. Till now people still beg me to sell to them cos of the way I handle gadgets.

We are in the same shoe...Bought mine from Fine brothers Enugu, from day two,it has been the same issue. The worst is that the seller's are liars,initial the lady told me is how techno phone does.

I can remember sometimes in 2008, Toyota called back some of their vehicles for one defection or the other yet they are still among one of the best vehicle makers and have being making luxury and durable cars yet affordable and helping Nigerians.

I am still an infinix hot note pro user since 2015. You should be grateful for the likes of Tecno and infinix for saving us from the likes of Samsung, Nokia, Blackberry etc with high prices yet inadequate battery.

lol... Tecno, infinix and itel phones are everywhere here. Only Gionee is not available. I prefer Samsung phones but their battery life discourages me. I think Redmi note 4x should be the best option for now
