I think it should be doing a background check on their research interests and getting to chat them up to see how they can be of help. It's not a sure winning formula but might help.
Thanks

Hello house, please am new here, havegone thru the thread but I av a question to ask.
I have a BSC in physic and I wanna apply for a masters in geophysics but one of the requirements is toefl which I dont have yet, my question is if I should apply without toefl, what's the chance of getting atleast a conditioner offer?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by zacheyS2: 6:06am On Feb 15, 2018
You can check the daad.de website for schools that offer geophysics. i am sure you will see some that do not require toefl. If you have ielts, you are good to go.

Thank you. Have checked the site and It's just two schools that offer the course, more like a joint program. And they both required either toefl or ilets which I don't av yet. The application deadline is 28 of ds month. I donno what to do

You must show a proof of English language proficiency but in most cases it doesn't have to be IELTS or TOEFL.
Mail the school and ask if they'll accept a letter from your Alma mata stating that you completed your BSc in English. If they'll accept it, get the letter from your school and you're good to go.

Good Afternoon team Dutch land, I recently applied to a university in South Germany through uni-assist which there application deadline is on the 15th of February. And decision would be taken 2weeks after d deadline.... And it's written boldly on the programme fliers that the program will commenced on the 1st of March and the university programme only runs during the summer semester...... Which means if I said I shld defer I would have to wait till next year March...... Luckily I was admitted into a university in Berlin last year where I have to pay huge to complete my programme, 9,000€ and will still needs around €5000 euro for other expenses like housing and flight ticket...... Although my sponsor didn't have the money he will have to hustle for the money...... Please i need your advice if the school it worth going Because my major aim of travelling is 40percent academic and 60percent to upgrade my standard of living please i need your advise.... To pay him back the money after a year..... Thanks your advice is needed urgently

Like Jigba replied, it ain't worth it. So many quality schools that offer free tuition, also consider the winter semester so you'll have enough time to prepare

Thanks bro, Yea I know FAU is a good school that's why they are doing shakara.

Unfortunately Uni-Bayreuth denied me admission because of one course I didn't offer in my first degree.

I just got admission into TU Freiberg for Winter semester (Environmental Geoscience) Do you have any info about the city? It is in the state of Saxony.

You have your options spread out, nice!!

How I wish some of you will drop this 'hustle' mentality. I understand the need to live in a country like Germany cause of the benefits (which I've experienced) and quality of education. But the thing with this hustle is that, you might just come here and forget your education which I think is the key.

Your goal or any other person's goal who wants to study in Germany shouldn't be 'hustle'. It should be to study a good course and have a good paying job afterwards.

Do you know what you will earn with this hustle jobs? You might actually be disappointed if you get here to see that it's not all that hype. I don't see anyone mentioning that there's hardly any time to hustle while studying. I'm currently in Studienkolleg and I barely have time for myself, I'm just imagining how it is for those in University.

And I don't see anyone talking about the typical 'hustle' jobs. Someone should help me mention those jobs lipsrsealed. Trust me it's not easy.

Your cgpa seems low but nothing is impossible. That's not a reason to spend so much money in a private university. Have you ever considered starting afresh? Like going to Studienkolleg and study afterwards?

I think you could also apply for another Bsc with your first year transcript.

Her CGPA is low?? Isn't that a 2.3/3 ?

Get a certificate of language proficiency from ur sch. Most uni in germany do accpet in place of language proficiency test.

I've forgotten it should be from 8€-10€. While dm is cheaper with just few cents. I think you should buy it in Rossmann, cause you can buy it from their stores.

For dm you can only buy it from their online website

Well, if you are optimistic/confident of getting the visa, especially if it has exceeded 2-3wks after ur interview, then just start the usual personal preparations.

So I'll advice u start planning when you will move (travel), the travel health insurance u'll use, d airline etc.

Most importantly, start applying for accommodation ryt now before you travel especially for accommodation in the student hostels, as it often pretty much stressful and difficult to get it wen u're already in Germany (although it is not impossible). You won't be required to pay for it until you arrive Germany and until u've seen the apartment urself.

Also, as regard the administrative fees of the school, if u're sure u'll be in Germany much earlier before the enrollment deadline, then no need worry yourself much in paying it from here (due to transfer fees) as you can always do it at the international office or at the administrative office depending on which is responsible for that.

Anyway, I believe your A.M is sure because its a season for A.M. so start all necessary preparations now.
Congrats in advance bro!

Well, I used a German student insurance. I'm yet to pay for it because I'm at liberty to pay after I arrive Germany.

The package is so flexible.

If you wanna know more about it, just contact me through my email address.
