i thought it was cyracus reporting again because this the kind of news he reports, back to the story oga is trying to shy away from his responsibilities using tradition as a shield. they should go back to the days when their love was strong. May your children never resemble your landlord.

Once a woman in her matrimonial home tastes a prick outside, oga pack your mat and waka. Much less of a woman that is financially more stable.

Why jump to conclusion? You didn't see the part he said she's cheating.
FluidQueen:
.... dumb, Silly man with a lot of misplaced priorities.

You were simply a vegetable in the family.
You were a liability.
You didn't pay rent
Never cared for your kids.
Your wife assisted your broke ass all through. And instead of showing her love and respect, you still disrespected her. Isi ewu!

Thankfully she'd divorce you and your children would despise you for not being a part of their life. I hope she wins child Custody too.

The Unbelievable part of this scenario is that such men would still claim to be the HEAD of the family? Hogwash!

Which ever way, I advise the woman to concentrate and train the children she had for him, that should be her priority for now.
As for the man, he should have pampered this woman and enjoy the goodies, his pride kept him in one spot. A woman that caters for house rent school fees and feeding single handed with out the husband showing appreciation to her will make her behave as if she is without love.
Once a man miss his bearing in family settings it takes the grace of God to place him in his rightful position.

a woman that drove her husband out of their home to be with another man..
ticks your box..
oh my lord undecided undecided
i shake my head for you
one of the biggest crime i see here is the man not earning more than the woman
and worst of the dude still loves hes wife..
instead of you to just pray they resolve their difference and get their home in place
your here saying God knows what
you dont know what it means to be in a broken home i i wont blame you sha
And you don't know how it feels to be in a troubled marriage either.
I don't support infidelity in marriage, if the wife was actually cheating before she decided to back out of the marriage. But his wife earning higher than him shouldnt have made him lazy and shying away from his responsibilities.
He is just using the excuse of tradition to run from his responsibility.

a man you say is shying away from he's responsibility..
buh was ready to take care of he's children..
buh he won't give her money when she's in another man's house..
I don't know where you come from buh where my mom comes from they take tradition seriously..let an esan woman cheat on her husband and I promise you she won't live long..before it was change to the death of the woman after cheating it was formally any child born from cheating on the husband will die and my uncle's wife got front role seat to the show..if am right it still affects a non-indegene as far your married to an esan man..
so stop trying to twist the story if he was your brother and you know where you come from and what your tradition say's would you let him risk he's life..

“In my tradition, if a woman marries another husband legally or illegally and the former husband still gives her money for the welfare of the children, he will die and I am not ready to die now,” he said.

Are you through? Thank you for your opinion. Let me challenge your comment.

What of a wife sleeping with other men? Will you call that responsible? The wife never denied sleeping with other men. And Yes, the man never denied being helped by his wife - he said she earned more than he did.

Plus, a man who begs for custody of his children so he trains them well in this scenario is not as irresponsible as you paint him to be.

If you feel that helping your husband grow financially makes him irresponsible, then you are selfish.

If the man says he doesn’t wanna give money to an adulterous woman as he will be seen to support her adultery and hence be punished dearly for it with death - he respect his tradition! As a Christian or Muslim, don’t u respect ur doctrines? Then why won’t he respect his culture? Ask the Esans, they have this tradition too.

Giving an adulterous woman custody of kids is the wrongest action to take. The future of those children is more than financial sponsors but more of responsible guardians which those kids will never have.

Please do not rush into conclusion as it affects ur gender, wrong of you my dear, wrong.

Peace!
My brother, each time it's being said that women have fish brain, many doubt it.
This is a typical example , an irresponsible girl supporting an adulterous wife and our supreme Court crowned her irresponsible attitude by giving her custody of the children whom, God knows what they will turn out to be in future.
The is still an eye opener to men that, you don't give your wife the room to be irresponsible by her not contributing seriously to any of this ( payment of house rent, school fees or feeding) and expecting her to save and bring when things are bad. My brother, just bear in mind she's sleeping with different young boys and spending the money on them.
So many irresponsible women this days claiming responsible.
Men wise up.

And you think you know more than the judge who gave the custody of the children to the mother.
Do you know what the man's income is like?
Presently he doesn't have any apartment to himself or you didn't see where it was stated that he is squatting with some of his friends?
So cos he said he should be given the custody of his kids automatically means he can actually take Care of them?
Abeg read the story well before commenting.

If he was serious about looking after his children , he would.
Nothing stops him from going to their school to pay their school fees directly. Nothing stops him from buying clothes for his children and giving them. So many things he could do for his children without a dime touching the hands of their mother.
The marriage was 16years, so those children will probably be in their early teens by now.
If the adultery was really true, he wouldn't want the marriage preserved. She is the one adamant on letting him go.
A counsellor/psychologist will tell you to locate all stressors in your life, and be removing them one after the other. This is to help relieve stress and live longer. He has obviously become a stress in her life.
He's never been responsible for his children even when the going was good between them, so its surprising you think he will suddenly take up the responibilty of those children now
