Very glad to watch the Kid VIdeo intro again never seen that since the early 80s and couldn't remember the name. I had a big crush on the girl. You can see she's pretty. She stole my heart for a long time. But then later maybe in the early 90s that girl that does the advert for Cadbury Breakfast TV (Eclaires). That half-caste girl melts my heart every Saturday morning. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ishilove: They are marionettes (puppets controlled by strings). Gerry Anderson and Christopher Burr were very good with this technique and quite a few of their productions are on this list (Terrahawks, Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds and of course, Secret Service). The way you felt about Terrahawks is exactly how I felt about Secret Service. 1 Like |

smokedfish: We had a small black & white TV with red panel for the kids. It came complete with its indoor antenna and a "lucozade nylon" detachable screen cover to give it a semblance of colour. we used to be glued to NTA 2 Channel 5 by about same time, 3:30pm, watching the static phase (with the shhhhhhh sound) and eagerly waiting for the off-session rainbow lines to come on with the tonal sound. This was the big deal cuz you know it will soon be followed by the Nigerian anthem in a most martial form! Now my dad had a wooden main TV with 4 legs and was coloured. Came with slide doors with key and was always locked up so we kids don't have access!! it was always wow whenever we get to watch Voltron on the big and coloured screen!!! 4 Likes |

revolt: Daffy Duck is in the list. It's included in Looney Toons/Merrie Melodies. Remember that the TV stations initially began transmitting at 5 0'clock. Then OGTV started transmitting from 4pm c1985 and then NTA2 Channel 5 also began transmitting at 4pm when they went commercial in 1987. There was also a time that NTA Network had Educational Television (ETV) from 4pm till 5pm. 5 Likes |
