I understand your point but I think the purpose of that picture is just for gag. Though I doubt if that guy will take to the road with that kid like that. For you to properly fasten anything to a bike using rubber fastener you really have to stretch it and makes it stay in place without wobbling. In which case that kid would probably pass out from pain screaming before you finished tying him up.

No child is born stubborn or with traits other than love, joy and peace. That children turn out differently is directly as a result of the environment they grow in. Violence, abuse, hate, divisions, squabbles all summarised as bad patenting quickly moulds the mindset of the child who only wants foods, sleep, a change of diapers and a regular bath. Have you noticed when a baby is born they react to sounds perceptibly. They cry at sharp loud noises, they hate screams and dhouting and pleasure at soft music, lullabies. How you craft your children is what they become.

Despite modernization and all that, it's better you treat your child this way to learn if that's the last option than to leave him to grow into a monster and blame you. You will be trying to defend yourself with saying I loved him so much I couldn't.
