gloriousdawn:If true, 7.84% dividend yield is not that bad, although its not as good as 50kobo projected by some. |

wanaj0:Sure. But I guess they'll have to consider the overall health of the economy. A good percentage of the goods consumed are imported, Even some of those manufactured locally have some imported inputs of raw materials and expatriate service. Plus, CIT, PIT, WHT, VAT, stamp duties, all combined form a significant chunk of revenues. So i think it will have to be a trade off, but overall, i think based on the current nature of our economy, a stronger naira would be healthier. NO BE ARGUMENT O. WHO AM I TO DARE ARGUE WITH THE BOSS? |

Mpeace:This is BAD with respect to expectations here. Best shorting opportunity may be today.... ![]() There will be some good offer today as the result gives no room for price appreciation. Note that any slight northward move implies a sharp decrease in DY. Apart from dividend expectations for late comers, this is OK considering this stock was available below N2.2 last year. |

It is not good enough when I see Finance charges for the 1st time in the financials. No explanations as to what the fund was used for. Transcorp Hotels was borrowed 3.9b in the year. Something is not just right. Mpeace: |

My veiw and Highlights on AFPRUD PLC; Div- 40k ...which translates to a DY of approx 7.7% given Friday's closing price of N5.20 Though there was a slight reduction in reg income, the respective approx 68.4% and 67% growth in other income and net interest income more than made up for the short fall. PAT also grow by 68.3% to over 1.7 b EPS improved by almost the same margin to 0.86k I also liked the fact that the company has enough cash with a good buffer from a better retained earnings, and a much healthier CF. My only worry was the slight jump in OPEX and the huge increment in finance charges. Fair enough result to me !! However, the market might react negatively to the slightly lower than expected dividend. ...so it wont be entirely out of place to see a slight pull back in the very short term before it continues its ride up. In my veiw FP should come close to a 63% premium from Friday's closing price [i.e. (62.7/100 × 5.20) + (5.20) = N8.40k] ...so my FP is N8.40k. NOTE: This should not be interpreted to mean any kind of recommendation. ...DD always advised pls. |

wanaj0:The earnings will be both in naira from local market and dollar from external market. There is commitment to meet domestic demand first and whatever remaining can be exported. There is no issue him opening filling station as the benefits outweigh the cost. In this case, since he has the feed-stock there will be economics of scale owning and operating such gas station translating to increased revenue and aligns with the horizontal integration strategy of the business. |

2zona:Wait for dividend and your dividend will attract witholding tax of 10% and you will be locked in for few more weeks/months because of price mark down. Sell now and take a charge of 1.8% to 2% NSE/SEC/Broker fee and buyback after price mark down if you love the shares so much. Easy decision. |
