My Oga no worry dem go recalibrate dir expectation by the time dey see d dividend yield on so called 1st tier banks

expect generally 5-6% yield at BEST form this set as at todays price (i.e. 1st tier banks).

it is then they wld know that d 7.7% and 8.5% of Afriprud and UCAP is a bounty

N.B im on both side of d fence jst dat my expectation has been well calibrated as i wasnt expecting more than as paid by Afriprud and UCAP
I'm almost certain (like a 100%) there will be a quick reversal in price following this sell off. When this will happen is what swing traders should watch out for.

FBN/ Fidelity

Nothing should baffle you my oga.

Ucap
- on full offer
- so 35 kobo is vexing dis greedy dividend hunters
- issorai
My ọ̀gá in my own opinion the 35k proposed was the same thing they gave in 2015 financial reports and price was low when compared to what we have now. However I really appreciate it cos my entry price was very low.

Bids
- there are some bids one needs to be mindful of :
- the shadow bids
- the support bids
- the fake bids
- the disappearing bids
- the MM bids
and be be lo
Saw this 1m bid at 21.45 on DS, immediately sellers pushed the price down to 21.50 or there about, the bid disappeared only to reappear at 21.55 when buyers pushed it up to 21.60.

This market is very easy to manipulate in the short term if one is heavy on funds.

I don't think there is any manipulation anywhere, it is still the normal market movements as portrayed by buyer and seller. For example, Last week, I placed a buy order for 1m units of UCAP at 4.20 but within the next hour, others bidded higher and after an hour, I cancelled my order and channelled the fund to other stock. Much ado about nothing.

The first and second paragraphs are talking about different things. The first was in agreement to a post about disappearing bids, the second was just a general observattion.

Na you bring the 1m bid I saw and made reference to? grin

Certainly, APR still traded 6.7 million unit as at close of biz despite being on full offer from about 20 minutes into opening of trading.

Clearly below expectation. ...I saw this coming though.
Now the most likely scenerio would be for investors especially dividend players to punish this one to levels that would be just commensurate to a 10% or below dividend yeild. ...pahaps at levels btw N3.1 - 3.4.
...that would sure be a good range to key in before the mark down date. wink cheesy

My Oga pls never say never. ...there realy aren't much difference btw the range of N3.1- 3.4, I mentioned and that of N3.5.
...In this market when as a coy u increase the appetite of dividend players thru a high pay out ratio, then they expect u to keep improving on it or at the very least meet up with their other expectations. ...anything short of it would usually be punished. ...sometimes even beyond acceptable limits.

As it stands right now, the difference btw AFPRUD and UCAP is that while their dividends pay out fell slightly below expectation, the latter also failed to improve in their Nos.
My veiw is that AFPRUD would likely recover faster from any pullback in price. (...it lost just a minot 1k today to close @ N5.19 while UCAP lost nearly 5% ...down from N4.30 to N4.09).

Luckily though, I still have a Fair Price for UCAP that is above the current market price. (...at a slightly below 38% premium from today's closing price).
But that's just me. ...dividend hunters may likely think otherwise.

We keenly await on Mr TIME to do his thing.

NOTE: This is merely an analysis on UCAP, and not a recommendation to sell, hold or buy.
...DD always advised pls.

I have gone through the financials and I must say that the coy didnt do badly. They needed to moderate the dividend proposed because of the excess tax on dividend which is becoming unwieldy for the coy. However, management seems to have rewarded themselves more than the owners of the business. One cannot afford to sleep with two eyes closed in some of these companies. I hope to buy more whe it is marked down. That average cost of Oga Oracle at 77kobo is something I have to beat hands down.

He will SELL to the local market in DOLLARS! He will not RUN filling stations. Margins are TOO thin.

Refineries don't advertise. Oil producing companies don't look for customers. There ys a reason for that wink
Where will the local market get the dollars from? From the same CBN that supported Aliko to build the refinery and the same CBN that wants to reduce FX pressure due to purchase of dollars for importing petroleum products?
