In my own case the immigration guy just asked if I travelled with my husband, I said no but he’s outside waiting to receive me. And he said welcome to the United Kingdom and enjoy your stay with your husband.
I bought plenty food stuffs oo. From oha leaves to Uziza, stock fish, crayfish, dried pepper, fried snail, Oh the list is endless. When I got home hubby said damn Bebe you’re such a mess. I made the oha soup immediately and hubby always insists on having poundo and oha for 2weeks straight now. Now tell me who’s a mess. Lol

The trick is, after the force - feeding, straight to the gym.......

Not also forgetting, dishing the Oha + poundi in small plates.......

Thanks. I have since confirmed that the money has gone into the UK coffers for good.

I do agree with the point above. I came to Nairaland because of the wealth of information here.

Whilst I take full responsibility, and do not blame the great folks here (@justwize, LexusG and everyone that contributed) in any way, it will be good is there is a caveat on the cover page saying what this thread is for exactly.

I didn't want to raise/mention this last week cause I was still reeling from the shocker and was somewhat emotional. Amean, that's like a plot of land!!!
hi dear how far? Any update on your new application? Am still waiting for them to return my passport.

Hi Lola, I withdrew it on a Friday, they released my passport last week Wednesday or so. I got an email that it was ready.

Still yet to get my settlement package back to my sponsor. That's what is holding me up from re-applying...

I'm a British Citizen and would apply for spouse settlement visa.
Our wedding pictures and wedding certificate is with wife in Nigeria.
Could she take it biometric session and tell them of the documents
or have it DHL to UK on a fast track premium service in time for submission along
with other documents to Sheffield. Do we pay a fee for the settlement visa, i.e. priority ?

Thank you.

Yes you pay an extre fee for priority.
No, she doesn't need to take those documents to TLS, she will be instructed on what to take when she books her biometrics.
She is meant to forward all the documents to you in the UK, then you add your own set of documents and forward everything to the above address.

For your benefit, I would advise you to read backwards by a few pages.

Emphasis on the words "strongly advised", on the picture.

So this is the right address:
UK Visas and Immigration, International
PO Box 3468
Sheffield, UK
S3 8WA

DHL delivers to P.O. Box and majority of the people here used DHL.

Hello all.... good morning.

Quick question please. What is the easiest way to pay for the application and IHs fee from Nigeria? Do Nigerian banks allow payment that huge from using the normal Naija debit cards or you have to use a dollar/pounds domiciliary account? Anyone that has done it successfully using Naija cards should advise on what to do please. Thank you

I didn't use a nigerian card for the payments, but I think you can go to the bank and tell them to open your card for huge payments.

I used my naija debit cards...but i had to use 2 diff ones cos once u charge d first one u wont be able to charge the second one cos of the huge amount..i was unable to charge the main fees on mine after paying the IHS...so i simply used another debit card from a diff bank and it went through without a prob. Goodluck.

I wen to the bank abd was told that I can’t use my naira MasterCard that I have to use my dollar/pounds domiciliary accounts which I’ve not even used before and don’t have a card for. My brother told me that it’s CBN as they have changed the rules of making huge payments using a naira account. I don’t know how true this is though

I did exactly this same thing for my first application but that was in 2016. I don’t know when you did or made your application but my brother is telling me that the CBN has changed it’s policy regarding paying for application online with naira debit cards. He said they will only allow Dollior or pounds domiciliary account now. Anyone know of a better way to go about the application and IHs payment. Please help me people. Especially people who made their applications recently. Thanks all.

Look for someone in the abroad who wants money in Naira in Nigerian bank and make a deal, he\she pay your fees and you send the Naira to his\her Nigeria account.

I did mine Dec 20th 2017 so its still very recent and it went through...so maybe it has changed i dont know. Trust me...getting a domiciliary acct is very easy...but getting the dollars to fund it is the hard part...cos the banks wont sell or change for u..they tell u to source for it outside....and going to buy from all these bur-dechange is additional cost....
Attached a screenshot of my debit alert...hope it helps
