Pull backs
some experiences and personal observations

- the longer price stays below your entry , d more doubt is created , dis will lead to 2nd guessing and loss of confidence
- the further price drops below your entry, d more ur attention & mental resources is confined , dis will lead to fear also
- its okay and mentally helpful to expect price to drop lower once u enter a trade . if this surprises you , ur frustrations are doing press ups
- price will meander longer that u expect
- if ur expectations are in line with d general expectation, its not likely going to happen
- news are overrated, any immediate reaction will not last
- once u come down from d bus , d driver is likely to arrive, live with it
- patience is ur friend when price is above d longer moving average but ur patience will be tested everyday
- weekends take forever
- breakouts are easier to spot but pulling d trigger is way more harder dan u expect
- buying support requires far more patience dan the above
- and be be lo

wat are your experiences

Example of this buying into "hope" could be seen in those buying those penny stocks 'cos of the 1k rule. These set of people might be on a long thing eventually because there's simply no positive news driving the share prices. Well, except maybe they already factored in the fact that they were gambling with the money and if lost, it wouldnt bother them.

Most of those stocks are moribund. While those buying were 'hoping' to gain or that there would appear a "messiah" for those stocks, they should equally be aware that they might end up loosing the entire capital.

In essence, those buying into penny stocks because of 1k rule should beware. When those stocks get to comfortable bridge, you can always cross it.

@fxuser, sorry for quoting your mentions. They happened to relate to what I wanted to talk on. I just feel like contributing here today.
a healthy market needs fresh blood , it's our duty not to give too much but everyone must give sumfin sha

My Oga, kindly throw more light.
The cash involved, even the commissions involved, can embolden you to slap Dangote, especially that it is a deal across the river.
Looks like a fight involving a Lion and an African Buffalo.
We need to know the cause of conflict as well.
Who is firing and who is taking cover?
too much analysis can lead to paralysis
however .. most pull backs are finding support ard and above the 13 week ema
almost all are above the 50 week ** EMA

How do they share revenue obtained from taxing cigarette and Alcohol?

States in the North where consuming of alcohol is forbidden/haram should not partake in the tax revenue gotten from the Alcohol. Because that tax revenue is also haram.

You can't tax Lagos or Anambra where the shayo plenty and share such revenue to Zamfara where some groups go and destroy bottles of alcohol declaring it is haram.

Same applies to VAT.

That said, no one will care about sharing formula if there is good leadership.

How To Analyse & Pick Top Nigerian Banking Stocks Today

How To Analyze & Pick Best Nigerian Bank Stocks - Learn How I Select The Top Performing Bank Shares To Buy, Invest In Using Quarterly & Audited Financial Statements

A few weeks ago, I had a training session with some group of friends to share strategies to picking stocks to trade and when to buy. While we explored some company's financials to validate our buy or sell ratings, I quickly opened my live account on Meritrade.com platform to reveal my current stocks and reasons I picked each of the stocks. At the end of my analysis, a friend asked, why is a major percentage of your equity portfolio exposed to the banking sector? I knew someone will ask that question because, on the pie chart presented on my dashboard, they assigned percentages to sectors accountholders have more shares in. It was my response to that question that I am sharing this 4-day article on how to analyze and pick the best performing banks' share to trade.

This doesn't mean that banking stocks are the best of all the listed equities, after all, investors reaped a bountiful harvest in certain stocks outside the banking sectors, look at Dangote Sugar, May & Baker, Fidson Health Care, and Cement Company of Northern Nigeria, these stocks surged more than 100% last year. But, here is a catch I see more in the banking sector that I don't joke with - it is called liquidity. Banking stocks record most trading volume in the Nigerian stock market which means institutional investors; fund managers, investment bankers, pension funds administrators, insurance companies are more active in that sector compared to others. I had shared an experience of how I was stuck in the insurance sector for two weeks, I couldn't sell my shares in one of the listed companies in that sector as no one bid for stocks until the price from N1.75 fell to 50k.

@Chibuking81,

I just finished praying to God for your daughter's safe return. What I asked God is that before this new week we've entered ends, God will help you find her hale and hearty.

Please join your faith to this, and all others who have bigger measures of faith, and higher levels of anointing should please pray in this regard. That God brings us our precious daughter this week.
Amen

This claim is enough to bring the elephant to its knees....

A judgement debt of N17b grew to N122b over 8 years... shocked Its so sad that Shell that raped Ogoni community is being defended by First bank to default in compensating the ogoni for the damage done to their community. Since the claim has been ruled on by Supreme court (the highest court in the land) in favour of Ogoni people, I don't see how first bank and Shell can escape the final settlement. This court shenanigan is just a tactic to defer the day of reckoning. I will advise counsel to the Ogoni people, since he has the backing of the supreme court, to file for winding down process in the court against FBN and ask the court to grant his client's prayers to proceed with publication of winding down notice in national dailies.

No wonder someone place an offer of over 300M units of first bank shares on friday. With this news, i am waiting for elephant at N3 junction again.... grin grin
