Wonderful. My searches were not quite successful. Only saw some numbers that were not active. It means you have an eagle eye . When did your wife finish her programme with NTI? My wife finished in 2009 when they were still affiliated to Usman DanFodio University and we have been afraid the credentials may be difficult to evaluate. Getting support from their regional offices has also been like hell. There is no word on the transcript we applied for in their Enugu office since Nov last year.

Well, she finish 2012@ Abuja. Statement of result also affiliated to Usman Dan Fodio University... The hustle for "2 or more certificate" no be here ooo.

Okay. We will keep our fingers crossed. God will see us through.
Thanks a lot bro. You made my day today. God bless you.

Thanks Cochtrane. I will apply for the remark. Am confident I did a good job. My problem is that BC doesn't have enough information on how to apply for the remark and their contact numbers are not reachable. They don't have an office where I am. I just need to know how I can apply for the remark without going to their office. I can wait for the 12 weeks. I will retake later if I feel I need to do that.

The problem about retaking is that it takes time (10-12 weeks). If you have the fund, apply for a remark and retake the test too. Dont wait to see the outcome of remarking before retaking the test.

Two people sometime late last year wrote the test. One applied for a remark, the other took the test again. Fast forward to March, the one that took the test again got PPR while the other was just ITA-ed.

Anyway, it is all about choice and probably finance.
Best of luck.

Something is really wrong with the marking of this 3/3/18 writing.

I think everyone with low writing scores should ask for a remark. There's something suspicious about the writing marks. Everybody cannot have written woefully. I see great scores then a 6 or 6.5 in writing. Ahh ehn! Please try and remark people.

All the best!

cc @abbylee...

not sure, but probably good to be careful with this as well. one of the conditions for a student visa is that you WILL BE RETURNING TO YOUR COUNTRY. if you've got PR and admission going at the same time, best not to apply for a student visa IMO...just to be on the safe side. might want to consider deferring if necessary. Any more knowledgeable people can also chuk mouth...

Osemigho:

Just seeing this. School has been tough. So long your payment deadline hasn’t pass, your tuition will reduce once you get PR. Got mine in November. So I had to pay fall semester as international student but winter as domestic. By the way, your landing document is sufficient evidence that you are PR. No need to wait for PR card before notifying your school.

Another reason to work on your PR is attached below. After I changed status, I was able to qualify for it and I applied. The rest is history. Thanking God for everything.

A collection of success cases on Nairaland

After doing the rejection cases, felt I should do the success cases. So, I went through the "PPR declarations" on this Part 3 thread. GlitteringStar has done a good job of compiling this already, so it was just a matter of clicking. Some of these "declarations" shared important details and some were downright inspirational. Thought to share some important summaries from these you might find useful. Details concern self-employment, contesting refusals, following up with CIC after much delay, gift deeds and other POF issues, NOC, etc. Note that these guys all got PPR already, so they must have done something right. At the same time, what works for A doesn't necessarily work for B, so just use this as cautiously as you can. You can go through the main posts themselves to get a clearer picture.

Baba thanks for this. God bless you

Hello Nairalanders, ive been a passive member of this group but i want to post my story to encourage others

i took the ielts test on jan 20th and my result was LRWS 8.5, 8, 6.5, 7.5. i was really upset cuz like so many other people, i felt i did better. i registered for another test for 24th march and my speaking test was supposed to be tomorrow 17th March (Lol money don waste like that)

on the 5th of february, i requested for a the EOR on writing with a time frame of 10-12 weeks in mind but today 16th march (6 weeks exactly) i got my new result and score was bumped up from 6.5 to 8 thats a whole 1.5. CSR went from 408 to 456.

There is something wrong with BC nigeria and i hope this unfair treatment of nigerians is stopped soon. For those who want to remark, please do that by all means and God will favor us all. Cheers!!

IELTS Results:

L -8.5
R - 7
W - 6.5

The writing surprised me.
I have registered again. I refuse to be discouraged.
Hoping for the best.

I love the spirit. While you're at it, you may consider requesting for a remark too.

Don't waste time requesting a remark for speaking. You should easily earn a 7, and that'll reflect well on your overall score.

Congratulations.

6 weeks timeline for an EOR is quite impressive. I had requested for a remark in L 7.5 and W 6.5 on Feb 23. Today makes it 3rd week and based on your timeline, I am optimistic that my EOR would be ready in 3 weeks time with an upgrade in L and W, and my 15k refunded. I tap into your testimony.
