Wow! congratulations , please which center did you write the exam and did they provide headphones? Do you have any advise for anyone considering IDP?
The exam condition is same with both BC and IDP with the exception of the crowd which is more with BC. However, IDP is strict with timing and their schedule for speaking is usually week day not weekend like BC. Also, IDP will give you water. Before I forget, they use new headphone. In all the exam is same contrary to the opinion of majority on disparity; hence, what I noticed is that the more you write, the more experience you become. Best of luck on ielts for intending applicants. That's the litu I can marshal for now.

Just seeing this. School has been tough. So long your payment deadline hasn’t pass, your tuition will reduce once you get PR. Got mine in November. So I had to pay fall semester as international student but winter as domestic. By the way, your landing document is sufficient evidence that you are PR. No need to wait for PR card before notifying your school.

Another reason to work on your PR is attached below. After I changed status, I was able to qualify for it and I applied. The rest is history. Thanking God for everything.

That means it was your nja work experience you used for the pr application right?

A collection of success cases on Nairaland

After doing the rejection cases, felt I should do the success cases. So, I went through the "PPR declarations" on this Part 3 thread. GlitteringStar has done a good job of compiling this already, so it was just a matter of clicking. Some of these "declarations" shared important details and some were downright inspirational. Thought to share some important summaries from these you might find useful. Details concern self-employment, contesting refusals, following up with CIC after much delay, gift deeds and other POF issues, NOC, etc. Note that these guys all got PPR already, so they must have done something right. At the same time, what works for A doesn't necessarily work for B, so just use this as cautiously as you can. You can go through the main posts themselves to get a clearer picture.

Thank you very much; you are far too selfless. I have bookmarked

Hello Ladies and Gents,

Today is truly a memorable day for me. I am indeed a surviving reader (drop comments whenever i like).

Written IELTS 3 three time and there is always an issue with getting the desired scores. With alot of consultation from friends, cousin and girlfriend, i reluctantly applied for EOR in speaking since money won't be an issue when i have my eyes fixed to the prize. After applying for EOR on the 27th January 2018, i registered for 3rd March 2018 test (Abeokuta).

Alot of practise (paid and free), engaged friends in speaking, did 18 personal writing, few lie telling in the office to enable me study for the test. The day of reckoning arrived (today), BC scattered my heart with the following result LRWS = 8.5, 7.5, 6.0, 7.5. I did horrible things, shouted on my office team (so ashamed to write other things here).

However, Tosinsho007, after reading your comment, i had to check my email and surprisingly the EOR turned positive in my favour for speaking.

To all out there, go ahead with EOR on Speaking and Writing only. Register for a new test date having atleast 1 month for practise.

To this end, BC Nigeria is a total rip off.

Tosinsho007:
Hello Nairalanders, ive been a passive member of this group but i want to post my story to encourage others

i took the ielts test on jan 20th and my result was LRWS 8.5, 8, 6.5, 7.5. i was really upset cuz like so many other people, i felt i did better. i registered for another test for 24th march and my speaking test was supposed to be tomorrow 17th March (Lol money don waste like that)

on the 5th of february, i requested for a the EOR on writing with a time frame of 10-12 weeks in mind but today 16th march (6 weeks exactly) i got my new result and score was bumped up from 6.5 to 8 thats a whole 1.5. CSR went from 408 to 456.

There is something wrong with BC nigeria and i hope this unfair treatment of nigerians is stopped soon. For those who want to remark, please do that by all means and God will favor us all. Cheers!!

cc @abbylee...

not sure, but probably good to be careful with this as well. one of the conditions for a student visa is that you WILL BE RETURNING TO YOUR COUNTRY. if you've got PR and admission going at the same time, best not to apply for a student visa IMO...just to be on the safe side. might want to consider deferring if necessary. Any more knowledgeable people can also chuk mouth...

First of all there is something known as dual intent (meaning you can do both a study permit and PR application alongside eachother). Dual intent is not a criteria for refusal of any visa. However you must prove the main point of each visa category. That is proof you will leave the country in your study permit application and also proof that you have sufficient means of integration in your PR application.
However from osemigho's post, I think he is already a student on study permit who happened to also pursue his express entry. In this case there is also nothing wrong with it because he met the criteria.
I hope this clarifies it a little better.

Hello house,

I have been through the thread but i couldnt really find answers. I have don my IELTS, with 8 in each compnent, I am 23 years with 2 years experience and a bachelor's degree. My projected CRS is 412, what can i do to boost my score please? I do not have a job offer or family member who is a PR or citizen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's a tough spot you are but the only thing that could help you now is to enrol in any 1 year programme in a private university (to avoid strike issues). once you graduate from that you would qualify for 2 or more certificate and your work experience will be 3years. Your crs will jump to 471. You can start it now and before your ielts expires you will have your cert.
Best of luck

Hello house!
Congrats to all the PPR recipients and IELTS conquerors.
We are in the process of submitting our application with my husband as the PA.I had a uk visa refusal in 2006 but have had several uk visas issued after(the last was for 5years).I really don't remember what the issue was but i think it was concerning the amount i said i was taking for the vacation.
My questions are:
1.Do i need to scan all the issued uk visas and stamped travel pages on all my passports both old and new?
2.Do I still have to fill a schedule A form? I understand the same details on the schedule A form is now included in the online application.
I think there were some updates made to the online form following the glitch last month.

I intend to add a letter of explanation though.
Cc:glitteringstar;cochtrane and anyone with knowledge concerning this can also please chip in.
Thanks

Hello house, i powerfully great everyone.
Please I need your urgent assistance.
If given a Letter of Advice to Apply by MPNP and after uploading my documents, will the MPNP contact my employers as stated in my work history to verify my employment records Because of my past employers refuse to accept my resignation then and i left the job never to return back there. Hope this wont affect my assessment?

Also, concerning POF, what if my brother decides to transfer the required funds to my account, will it be acceptable and can i use my Statement of Account as evidence? since its not up to 3 months? . Please what step should i take concerning these two situations.

I await your swift responses...Thank you my people.

God bless.
