My little contribution to the thread is that Buhari will contest and is very likely to win in 2019 whether you vote or not.

I don't understand the politics in your country, but I think the lady is right for calling out the guys stealing the nation common patrimony.
Even us the citizens don't understand the politics of Nigeria. These guys rob us blind then when it is time for elections, dole out 10 kg, or in some cases, 25 kg sacks of rice and cassava flakes (gari) to the hungry masses who forget that these same people are responsible for the hunger in the first place. We rush to vote the same people into office to continue with the vicious cycle of hunger, oppression and corruption.

What we have in Nigeria is politics of the mouth. Selective anti-corruption drives. Cronyism. Nefarious and satanic politics.

We are a country of wicked people and our leaders are a reflection of US.

Yes you really don't, the current government has done the most in fighting Corruption and ending rot in the system.
Maybe you didn't read the op, which wasn't about looting but about attacking the president for his right to compete for a second term by holding unto a statement he made in 2011 to insist he should not go for a second term. The so called "lady" is as horrible as the politicians in the US, in. Nairaland he advocate the same stereotypical actions against Muslims and lies when called out.
It seems the 2000 naira you sold your soul for is still 'shacking' you. Let me know when the money is finished so that I can employ you as the office messenger. You are a fiercely loyal dog that will be useful for all the dirty jobs no one wants

So says a religious bigot with zero comprehension skills. I dare you to swear, you lowly religious bigot that I have ever been paid by any politician to defend and invoke God curse upon your dishonest lying self if you have lied against me. It is simple, you claim I collect money to defend people online, swear that if it false you shall never amount to anything in life if it is true I shall never amount to anything. I know being a liar you will dodge immediately.

Shameless individual like this supported PMB government to get favour like Ezekwesili and the other retarded fool Aisha yesefu, once they do not get such favour they dive into hate and lie foolishly mode.

Oh we can hope for a benevolent dictator with iron fists or vibranium fists to take over power and flog everybody into compliance. We are a bunch of unruly people who live their lives like the law doesn't matter.

From the "leaders" at the top embezzling our funds in billions to the civil servant in her dingy office who thinks she should be tipped before she does her job or the danfo driver who has no qualms driving AGAINST traffic on a one way lane, we all need sense flogged into our putty brains.

Democracy can not do this. That's for sure. At least not in Africa. And definitely not in Nigeria. Not with the likes of Saraki, leader of the "forty thieves" and Dino, popular thug of absolute questionable character manning the National Assembly.

We can hope that our own Jerry Rawlings will come soon and clean out the Augean stable and set up a monarchical system in Nigeria. Maybe we'll have a chance to be like the UAE.

Our current crop of politicians need to be beheaded. All of them, no exception.
You made valid points bro. But like I said, I am not holding my breath.

Good luck nonetheless.

Oh really? And your conclusion is based on what exactly?

He hasn't even released his manifesto and you've already concluded that he doesn't have vision.

Interesting. I guess Buhari and Atiku are the ones with vision.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, even if my uncle runs for office I will not vote for him because Nigerian politicians are an irredeemably crooked bunch.

The General won the election after the fourth attempt and his tune changed.

Shameless bunch.

You contributed to bringing this government to power, you do not have a right to say anything until you have apologised to the people who warned you and others against this folly but you refused to listen.

Apologise before you can have any grounds to bemoan wicked politicians.

So how do you determine those who are wise from the lot?

What I thought the youths of Nigeria would have done was to demand for a debate where all contestants can come and tell us what they've been doing, what they are currently doing and what they will do if given the mandate.

Not jumping to conclusions about a candidate.

Well good luck to us all come 2019.

You have a good point there.

But are you aware that the President is still the most powerful public officer we have in Nigeria according to the peculiar type of democracy we are running?

That is why in our short democratic experience we've had 2 or 3 Senate Presidents impeached while no Nigerian President has ever been impeached nor ever will be for the foreseeable future.

So, having a good President really really matters bro.

Lol. This isn't the way at all. Otherwise those who voted Goodluck Jonathan should also apologize for voting in a clueless human being.

People of goodwill rooted for Buhari thinking he had common sense. I supported him too. But he obviously has let all of us down.

Instead of waiting for an apology that will never come, why don't we join hands and work towards not only kicking out these kleptomaniac bastards from our political space, but also ensuring the right people get there.

It's time to demand for well organized political debate across the country

Though The President Is The Most Powerful, The Only Reason It Get More Complicated Is The Begin Of The New Assembly When Saraki Have Been A Traitor, He Have The Support Of The Opposition And A Few Of The Ruling Party, Only Few Individual Remain On The Side Of The President

And Saraki won't have been such a problem if the code of conduct tribunal had done its job well in the first place. If so, then Saraki should have been in jail by now.

As the Senate President, he doesn't have immunity. That is why the onus is on the President to be above board so he can actually fight corruption, not the APC style.

That Is One Else Problem, We Also Have A Corrupt Judiciary, In Developed Nation One You Have Corruption Case, You Ought To Resign, Because They Dont Want To Destablize The Party They Keep Shielding Some Individual Who Have To Be Prosecuted, Let Me Tell You A Secret That Minister Are Pieces Of Daft, Even Buhari Doest Know Anything. The Only Man Working In The Structure Is Vp Osinbajo.

A people deserve the kind of rulers they get. GEJ as I said that time, and a position which continues to stand true, is the poster boy for black/Negro perception worldwide: Weak, ineffectual, and bumbling, GEJ was our face!

And the call for Buhari was a call for judgment. You all got served.

A wicked electorate and its wicked politicians are the two sides of the same coin.

Please stop telling us that the politicians are wicked, they are recruited from among us, they are the representatives of the people!
