This is what I say. Comparing apples and oranges. How do you compare a Juventus v Real Madrid match to a Galatasaray or England match Some even say Brazil v Australia, haba. I am not taking anything away from CR7's goal and I agree it was a remarkable goal considering that it was during the quarterfinal UCL stage. However, I disagree with your assessment of the Juventus defence and your subtle attempt to hype CR7's goal against that backdrop.

Juve's defence has been found out several times in the UCL this season. They have conceded more goals than Real madrid and Barca in the UCL this season (the supposed Spanish teams that leak goals according to you). Tottenham scored two goals in Turin and should have defeated Juve but for sheer badluck. Messi tore apart their defence at will when they met earlier. In fact, it is only in the Serie A where their defence holds up a tad, and that's against weaker opposition and is also a testament to the declining levels of the Serie A.

This current Juventus team is a shadow of the previous great Juve sides and are at best at Tottenham or Sevilla's level.

Mandzukic's overhead kick goal against RM in the UCL final last season was a better goal than CR7's BK as he actually did that against tougher opposition, at a greater stage (Final) and from a greater distance coupled with the fact that the ball ended up in the top corner. However, it was not hyped because it was Mandzukic that scored it. Had CR7 scored that particular one, we would not have heard the end of it!

You probably started watching football yesterday. It was a fantastic goal but any football fan would list a couple of goals better than that

1. Ibrahimovic's overhead goal against England which was actually scored from outside the box;
2. Rooney's goal against Mancity;
3. Maradona's goal against England which required greater skill and technique.
4. Messi's goal against Getafe which also required greater technique;
5. Zidane's goal against Bayer Leverkusen aka "Bayer Neverkusen";
6. Van Basten's sumptuous strike for Netherlands (please watch that goal on YouTube).

I could go on and on. Like I said it was a fantastic goal but you really need to watch football beyond the players and teams you support.
