He was just an angel. He didn't exist in God's form.

Angels are spiritual beings but less powerful than God. I don't know. I wasn't in his mind.

The question is.. why did he think it is possible to overthrow God? Is it even possible for an angel who is a creation to think he can become God the creator? How did he think he can overthrow his creator? why did other angels join him?

how can a being who is eternal be overthrown by his creation?

This begs the question... was the devil even created by God?

Because Jesus is part of The Trinity.

Adam was created in the image of God. But by his disobedience, he ended up having a corrupt nature.

Can you explain the expression "think it robbery" in plain English?

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

This means Jesus knew He was God and it was no robbery as the Pharisees thought.

Who did Jesus call the ONLY TRUE GOD in John 17:3?
The Father
The context of Jesus' comment was that He was speaking as a man to His God. Remember, Jesus is both God and man, the second person of the Trinity, and the word made flesh ( John 1:1 , 14). Since He was both divine and man, as a man, He would naturally and properly say that His Father was the only True God. He was not denying His own divinity but affirming the Trueness of God as was done in the OT: "Now, O LORD our God, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, LORD, are God," ( Isaiah 37:20 ). The truth is that Jesus was a man made under the Law ( Gal. 4:4 ); and as a man, He would be subject to God. Only, in this case, Jesus was subject to the Father. That is why Jesus called the Father the only true God; but it is not a phrase that excludes Christ, for Christ Himself said, "Before Abraham was, I am," ( John 8:58 ) and did not deny being called God by Thomas in John 20:28 .

Satan(Yahweh) is not near the infinite magnitude of God Almighty his creator. God and Satan(Yahweh) are not two opposites entities with equal contrasting power, NEVER!!

Moses and Solomon were also called God in your Bible and they did not deny it.
If Jesus was both God and man, did he leave his godliness in heaven or did he come down with it?

If Jesus left his godliness in heaven, where did he get the godliness with which he became God while on earth?

At what point did he (probably return to heaven to) get it?

What, then, was given to him after his death and resurrection?

God only made him like a god to Pharaoh. He wasn't actually a god.

Psalm 45:7 wasn't talking about Solomon. It was Jesus. Hebrews 1:8-9 talks about it.

Jesus didn't leave His divine nature in heaven. He came to the earth with His divine nature.

Junia I like you. You seem to be a teacher of the word and you posses the gift of teaching (Ephesians 4:11). Keep on developing it.

@op from the verse posted, starting with Exodus 7:1 KJV, " And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet."

You took the verse out of context. You can clearly observe that the "god" was spelt with a small letter "g". For example Satan was also called "god" in 2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV, "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

That doesn't make Satan God even if it has always been his greatest wish from the very beginning (Isaiah 14:12-15).

For Psalm 45:6 KJV," Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre."

Solomon was not called God in that verse. Probably you thought so because David who is the author of many Psalms was referring to his son but the book of Psalm was written by different Psalmists. The" God" being referred to in the verse is God Himself. The writer of the Psalm was just praising God that His throne will endure for ever.

A god and not a God. cheesy I love your translation. Can you tell me the Hebrew word used in that verse? And the word used as 'God' in Hebrew?
So, did God lie to Moses? Was he a God to Pharoah or not?

If you say so.

How did he empty himself?
And why didn't he know the day and hour when he was asked if he was the true God?

The secret things belong to the Lord, those He revealed are for we and our children. Deut29 vs29. If you can not find answers to concealed matters in the bible, you could ask the Lord in prayers. Jer33:3. praise God!

The Junia that you like disagrees with the KJV. He says that he was only like a god and he was not a God. As a loving brother, can you both incite yourselves to proper understanding?

You took the verse out of context. You can clearly observe that the "god" was spelt with a small letter "g". Who made the letter a small 'g'? Who decides what a right context is? Do you know something about transliteration? What is the context of that verse? Can you explain?

Have you read the Psalms or are you quoting from a blogger? Did you understand it when you said that the Psalmist was praising God? have a look at verse 2 below.
Psalms 45:2You are the most excellent of men

since God has blessed you forever.

You mean God has blessed God forever?

I am thrilled that many of you are embracing the 'a god' transliteration of some of these verses. How about we go to John 1:1 In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was a god.
Would you accept the above or will your rule cease to apply?

Continue arguing from silence. Since your new tactic is to ask questions not related to the bible or answers never mentioned in the Bible continue. It's your organization's stock in trade. You want to feel like a hero. In your mind you are asking though questions that requires thinking. But at the end of the day the answers to these your questions are all going to be assumptions. Even the one you will try to deduce is still an assumption that has never been seen in the Bible.

Religion of assumption.
