Let me put it in very simple terms. It doesn't matter where the person is from, his ethnicity, religion, or age. To become the President under this system, you MUST be willing to condone corruption from the interest groups that helped get you elected. It's as simple as that.

Sowore has restructuring in his manifesto. APC did too. If Sowore becomes President, it would be consigned to the dustbin, like APC did. This Messianic complex is nauseating. Even an elementary school pupil is aware that the entire Nigerian political space is soaked in corruption and as such, the most basic form of common sense judgement entails going for a less corrupt alternative if corruption is something that bothers you.

And yes, regionalising the country would reduce the desperation for power and the corrupt money based politics it breeds, but yet again, that wouldn't solve the corruption in the system overnight if notoriously corrupt breeds are still ferried to leadership positions.

The kind that occurred after the immigration scandal under GEJ that forced several changes. The kind that made Odua lose her job? The kind that Babachir lose his job? The kind that made Maina flee the country despite the fact that just days before his re-appointment came to light he was campaigning to become the governor of his state?

BVN was implemented. Ghost workers are being eliminated. Fertilizer scam was stopped. Important, powerful people who are part of the elite were part of these rings that are getting clipped.

There's a reason why the state governments are refusing to subject themselves to the FOI federal law. The heat it'd generate would be too much for them to handle. The documents and information he gets are from sources that have access to the seat of government. Now why would these same sources provide these information if they weren't using it to forward their own political agenda.
