Nah! That is your own job, or have you forgotten? shocked You are bent on propagating your false views about the jobs of microbiologists, zoologists etc. The only thing you got right, was the part about the computer scientists. undecided

You are the one that is not making sense. sad Go back to your initial post where you compared a computer scientist to a microbiologist in the same breath, and alleged that they should have set up private ventures, instead of going into banking jobs or keke riding.

I replied you to show that there are not enough jobs to absorb microbiologists upon graduation, and asking a microbiologist to set up a private venture in his own field is expensive and not as easy as it seems. undecided They would have to find alternative jobs, instead of starving to death while waiting for jobs to turn up in their own field, or trying to acquire funds to set up private ventures, in their field of study.

You then went on a fishing expedition pasting different pictures of various microscopes, as if that is all a microbiologist needs, to set up private practice in his own field. Do you remember? You were bent on giving people the wrong impression, about something you know very little about.

Now, a lot of people visit NL and I am rather concerned that some young impressionable individual would get the wrong idea by reading your posts. undecided Is it a crime to try and set the records straight?
Prove me wrong and not the desperate sampling of irrelevant facts.

But I did that ages ago. shocked Kindly go through my previous posts, and read each one slowly....hopefully you will eventually get to understand the points that were raised in each one. You were proven wrong, more than once!

The only sensible thing you said was about Computer engineers (and maybe electrical engineers). But for electrical engineers, i am aware that some of the tools required in their profession, can be quite expensive and hard to maintain. undecided

Keep twisting my word and confusing Computer engineers for Computer scientist there.

Now it is obvious that you cannot read. undecided You mentioned computer scientist in one of your previous posts, and also mentioned computer engineers in another post. Go back and check. Stop clutching at straws...

And you are responsible for what you understand. If my meaning is explicit, but you choose to misunderstand it, then it is your own problem, not mine.

You said the "the only part I made sense was . . . " then changed it. Read your own post again and stop the disgraceful denial. Haba!

Why are you so lazy? sad Go back and read each of your posts. In your original post on this thread, you compared computer scientists, to microbiologists. That was what started this conversation. Have you forgotten?

CodeTemplar:
There are some field where it is easier to startup a venture. IT is one of them and Microbiology is another.
Can you imagine a Computer Science grad who studied programming riding keke out of joblessness? the fact that a laptop is much cheaper than a keke will interpreted to mean the comp sci grad isn't competent enough to program.

Same logic applies for Microbiology grad from UI. If we must talk about people studying courses we need as a nation then private people should be left out and the subsidized grad should be considered first. Govt is suppose to create enabling environment for job creation and not direct jobs.

Then you later switched to talking about Computer Engineers. Obviously you have run out of false info to peddle now, and you want to start splitting hairs on the differences between a computer scientist and a computer engineer? Let me laugh very well again....in Swahili! cheesy

CodeTemplar:
For your info, one of the most advanced labs in Delta state happens to be onwed by a person close enough to me and I have visited it. When dont need to turn simple reality into competition.

Govt cant subsidize a grad with over a million Naira over 4 years and still be pampering them with direct jobs. People need to take a cue from IT related discipline grads and realize that some certificates can mock a jobless graduate.
The other day a 2.1 grad who rides keke was sampled on Nairaland and I thought to myself, after enjoying subsidized education.

The advance nations are paying close attention to what happens to their STEM (Science, Teccnology, Engineering and Maths) human resource in a bid to keep up with demand of modern society while we watch ours go into keke riding, phone repair, conductor, and back-of-bank banking.

My reference to microbiology wasn't personal at all.
Zoologist, Biochemist, Computer Engineers, Electrical Engr etc are other fields where govts subsidizes people to acquire skills we need badly as a nation but allow them slip through the system into ridiculous jobs.

Read what u r quoting. I said there are other fields. . . It means in addition to the previously mentioned one - microbiology. Ha oga.
