pass on please.
my daughter can never be poor.

poor people aren't supposed to go into relationships

Then stop waging war against poor people else face Gods wrath

If everyone had your mentality there will be no marriage still going on today

Money you will leave behind when you die lol you want to carry unto your head

Stop that!

I once used N5,000 to prepare 2 different soups and stew!

Half a kilo of chicken: N650
Vegetable oil (a margarine cup): N100
2 Wraps of Thyme: N60 (N30 Each)
Spinach leaves: N100
28 Pieces of big ripe tomatoes: N350
3 big round onions: N150
2 pieces of Local Maggi (Okpehi or Dawadawa) (I don't use Cubes because of Sodium content): N100
Ugu leaves: N200
2 cups of melon seeds (Egusi): N140
Palm Oil (half Eva): N300
Okra: N100
Two Titus Fishes: N500
Half a kilo of Goat meat: N500
I big Stock Fish Head: N700
Cray fish (1 margarine cup):N400

TOTAL: N4,350

I already had other stuff at home like turmeric powder which I use instead of curry, salt, garlic, ginger and Semo powder and wheat powder.

I used the fish for the Okro, Goat meat and the stock fish head for the egusi, and chicken for the stew. I have my blender at home so I blend instead of grind!

So let's say I don't have a blender and decided to grind the tomatoes in the market, it won't cost me more than N100.

For people who swallow garri (I don't...i even prefer akpu)...let's say 4 or 5 cups of garri: N250

Won't it still be in the neighborhood of the same N5,000?

I cooked and filled my food plastics and I consume these things for almost 2 weeks. The two guests that had the opportunity to visit me and I served them meals were swearing that it was a woman who cooked everything because it was sooo sweet!

The thing is...most women (esp Nigerian women) are bad managers of finance!
They can't utilize money given to them to buy ordinary foodstuff talk less of managing their homes properly.

It is understandable that some still do "apriko" (keeping extra cash) from the overhead costs of what is to be bought but I should be done with conscience especially when you know your husband is not too financially buoyant.

Some are bad cooks! You will give them N50,000 and they will still cook crap that even a refuse scavenging dog can't eat!

Kudos to my mum (may her gentle soul rest in peace) whom I learnt all these from!

Good one my brother thank God am not the only one here. God bless all good mothers who train their son to good in the kitchen.
@ishilove beans grain was not part of the 5k rather the ingredients for the beans.
I wonder why it's difficult for girls here to believe that one can make 2 good soup with 5k..smh seriously.

But with that mentality she’s worse off actually the person you call poor could have a six months accrual of 1.6 million and you may be struggling to raise 50k none is better than the other when I print my statement I am always humbled it’s saving me I need because no one is really poor until they can’t see the good and wealth around them

Don't mind them! Upbringing matters alot. Most of them here are either denying it so as not to allow the eyes of most husbands who do not have time to go to the market see 2 pots of soup as a project that a proposal or memo has to be written for or simply because many of them are the indomie generation "slay queens" who are noodles and sharwama specialists.

Cooking ordinary stew to most of these ladies involves mixing Gino or Derica with water and vegetable oil, adding salt and chopped onions with 5-10 cubes of Maggi and 4 sachets of Onga. Na stew be that. When the man develops high blood pressure over the years because of high sodium intake from the artificial seasonings, they will start blaming "village people" not knowing it is the wife.

This is the reason why 99% of the 5 star hotels in the world have "male only" chefs. We are very creative in the kitchen much more than the women.

Re: So My Woman Has Been Cheating Me!! by Festacbreed(m): 9:42am On Apr 20, 2018

ifyalways:
One paint of garri is 800 ngn in lekki, Ojuelelegba might be 700 ngn.
A tuber of yam, 500 ngn, no less.
Derica of beans 400 ngn

It's possible @ OP but that's not cos your woman is a cheat. I'm sure you didn't buy palm oil, salt and Co. Your woman must have been buying them. Also you dare not compare your soup quality with hers. 5,000 ngn can barely cook a proper soup so your babe is not cheating you.

Ah you're the oldest female I have ever seen online nairaland, shocked shocked embarassed lipsrsealed do you have shares with nairaland or you are among the largest shareholders

Deep Refrigeration!

When i want to eat, i turn off the freezer till the ice loosens then i bring out the container which i dip in warm water and when the ice melts, i scoop out the required portion and warm slightly without bringing to boiling point or adding water.

That way, the taste and aroma can be preserved for even months (though i have never left food for that long)
