Taxify sent mail to riders, giving them reasons they should always rate drivers, so I went to there driver app in playstore and apple store, to see what drivers have to say about there app, they became smart by disabling the rating and comments on there app. cry

That exit point from Anthony bridge leading to Ikorodu road just by SHODEX Garden is one hell of a notorious dark spot. Sometime last year my wife had to be in Yaba as early as 6am and I opted to drive her down there. But before we left home, I remember I told her to go with just a simple bag with no major contents in it aside her money and fabric. Just like you, as I approached that spot and was trying to avoid the pot holes on the road, one motherfucker sprang out of the dark and swung the door open and tried wrestling the bag off my wife's laps. As she screamed that someone was trying to steal her bag, in a matter of seconds, I was imagining what was going on cos I saw the door open and wondered how that was possible since I was sure I applied the central lock before leaving home.

Stepping on the accelerator was what I did cos if I had slammed on the brakes, the guy could've been flung forward while damaging the door in the process. We were able to escape in one peace.

A neighbour of mine at that same area in January this year had her one month old brand new Honda CRV badly damaged as she was forced to ram into the road divider while trying to get away from those thieves.

I have a mighty scar on my face, I was robbed at that same Volkswagen trafic, girl sitting at the back sit pressing her iPhone 7,the next thing I heard was splash of glass, she shouted mummy oooo, mummy ooo...and she ran away, before 1 second they attacked Me,they didn't only collect what I had,but they tore my fine fresh face, now I look like a ganstar

You are wrong sir! Speak for yourself. Many here are drivers out of necessity. Plenty of these "drivers" have other marketable skills such as writing, editing and many others. Your own skill maybe limited to driving, but others who have acquired these different skills via training or schooling would like an opportunity to put them to use someday. And you never when that opportunity would come knocking.
We re thinking of how to get back to back trips, you’re talking about writing books, asin were is the time for that.

Good evening everyone. Please I need your valued input on this. I drive an Honda Accord 2005 EOD 3.0 engine as taxify and I have come to discover that it consumes fuel alot and practically everything I make always go into fueling of this vehicle. I complained to the owner who had his mechanic check the vehicle and the mechanic discovered that there were no catalysts in the vehicle, consequently catalysts were bought and fixed. Unfortunately after effecting these repairs the problem still persists as it still consumes fuel alot. Anytime I buy fuel I do a trip the fuel goes into reserve. Today, I spent the sum of 7,100 all together to fuel the car and making 15,000 in return with taxify commission included in it. Please what are your takes on this. Please advise on way forward.

Bros, drop that car, people driving corolla are complaining, you're driving 3.0lt engine and partner will still expect you to deliver. Don't let desperation push to collecting car that's not worth it

You're working for the filling stations and e-hailing companies. Any car that has more than 2.0 CC you will be working like an elephant but eating like a small rat (eku eliri). You better dump that car for the owner and have rest of mind.

Rider: Do you accept transfers?
Me: Yes, on the condition that both of us will wait to see that either the credit alert or your debit alert SMS has come in. Otherwise, I will suggest we use an ATM or you can get a neighbour to raise you the cash
It happened this evening. I picked up a lady from Ikorodu to Obafemi Awolowo Way Ikeja. Trip fare was #2,200. She said she wanted to transfer, I told her okay and gave her my conditions. She agreed. She did the transfer, I didn't see a credit alert SMS, she did not see a debit alert SMS. Only option left, as per our agreement, was for her to source the cash. A male friend of hers came to her rescue after she called Him on phone. The guy comes and pays me cash. I leave the scene

Two hours later, I get the alert SMS for #2,200! Immediately, I sent a message to her to send her account number so I can transfer the cash back to her.

Still waiting for her response

Please I wish to clarify this
Does Uber or taxify allow a driver to show up with a car different from the one registered and displayed on the app
eg a car with different registration number and/or a different type of car

If that happens what should the rider who made the booking do?
No, that is a very big offence on both Uber and Taxify. Rider should report ASAP to Uber or Taxify
