tallmewarh:Probably no one has anything to do with NMBU here. I saw your PMs. Ask your questions here and you might be able to get a good answer which might in turn help others. |

olujastro: Thanks olujastro. I don't have any questions as I have gone through the thread and found answers to most of my questions. I just need to connect to someone over there so I will be guided when I get to Norway as I don't know anyone over there. Thats why I sent you a PM. |

I'm sorry to ask. In a case I want to apply for a Visa... Must my sponsor be someone that lives in Nigeria or Norway? Secondly, will they debit my sponsor's account before granting me a visa? Thank you. |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Uchboggy(m): 8:44pm On Apr 14, 2018 |
dhrogbar9:your sponsor can be anywhere in the world but he would have to transfer that money to an account which the school would provide , it’s the receipt from that transfer that you use to apply for Visa |

chukxy:I doubt this amount is still 4.7m in naira. Norwegian kroner gained more value against the dollar from last year due to rise in oil prices. So the required 111,657 nok should be about $14,500 now compared to about $13,000 it was last year. And I understand that the banks give out fx at 360/$. So you guys should prepare yourselves with about 5.2m. Anyone who has successfully sent their funds at much lower naira equivalent can disprove my estimates. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Just got the rejection mail from NTNU. Stated that: "Admission to this program requires a minimum of 30 ECTS in mathematics and statistics?". Which is confusing because: My math courses totalled 8, while my statistic courses totalled 4 on the Nigerian credit unit scale. Making a sum total of 12 Nigerian credit units. Please can anyone here explain this is not equal to the 30 ECTS required? |

Please are we still required to certify our passport copy for visa application? Thanks. |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by chukxy: 2:10pm On Apr 19, 2018 |
olujastro:Thanks for the info. I think you have experience in this. My other question is if someone' s first year 's living expenses is paid that is the 5.2m is paid, would the person be able to pay the remaining living expenses for the second year by working as student? |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by olujastro: 7:46pm On Apr 19, 2018 |
chukxy:You don't need to send any money to them in your second year as you already live here. Renewing your study permit for the second year is no big deal. All you need to attach to your application is your bank statement showing that amount. Simple! |

Hello I am interested in applying at UiT but from their website I saw only 35 programs of which most of them are masters degree and very few bachelor's degree courses so my questions are: 1.Do UiT offer pharmacy in Bachelor level? 2. If they do then it must be taught in Norwegian , is there any provision for international students that didn't meet the Norwegian language requirements to undertake 1year language preparatory course ? 3. Do I need to continuously deposit the 116k+ NOK every year or will my first deposit be enough for me throughout my study in Norway? 4. For accommodation when is the right time to apply? Is it when offered admission or when I am applying for the admission? 1 Like |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Dockal(m): 12:08pm On Apr 28, 2018 |
To try to answer your questions; 1. All bachelors courses are offered in Norwegian. 2. I don't think there's a provision for 1 year language prep course( confirm from the sch pls). 3. The 116knok is needed to renew your study permit every year, however, in your 2nd year you are required to provide a bank statement containing the required amount. Alternatively, if you happen to get a part time job before then, you can present your contract letter from your employer(it should serve). 4. You can only apply for accommodation after you've been offered admission- It's guaranteed for all international students. vinlyreeks: 1 Like |
