I made a post yesterday with Order Number: # 361265466 about Jumia not delivering my Tablet to me since 20/04/2018. Jumia have delivered the tablet to me now. Big Thanks to Nairaland and Bigger thanks to Jumia and @Bamac

So I have decided to re-edit this post.

That's fvcked up...u really should have done pay on delivery,that way you won't have any reason to be bothered.

This is my mistake. I have spent over N1,000 calling the customer care line. Before they pick up, it takes time and the keep saying they cant refund as the item already shipped.

I have called both agents number sent to me and both says nothing of such with them and they dont cover my area but still this Jumia of a people dont want to refund me back my money. At least make dem pity me as a student.

This issue will be resolved, i am on it already, it has been escalated and delivery will be made. If no delivery is made between now and next week Monday trust me to get you your money.

After the delay to get money back they begin to say another 10working days.

Same Thing I have been told. I have spent over 1K calling on this issue. I have sent several Emails.

I will be sent an email that my Delivery is today after 30minutes they will send Your Jumia package delivery failed today. When my phone is on and my email is synchronized to my phone as emails are received instantly. You can see screenshot below:
I understand whatever situation it is, but just take my word for it, if the item is not delivered you will get your refund, trust me on this, you didn't order through me but i have taken it to be my issue, it will definitely be resolved.

Whether Jumia delivered it or not, or whether u get satisfaction or not; the fact remains that Jumia is still messed fuuked up! They should work on their logistics. Assholes!

I agree with you that Jumia needs to work more, but one thing we must all know is this, no perfect organization. Apart from that, we should also understand that ecommerce in Nigeria is not as sweet as those of the western world and this is obvious as Jumia remain the standing online mall as others are facing serious battle not just with the economy but people that surrounds the organization which includes the customers too as many people are fraudulent. Many will order and request for pay on delivery and on the day of delivery they will reject the item, not because it is bad but because they don't have money.
Many tried making order as they want to see if it will work out. We also have many who will receive theie order and will change the item to another one and complain that the company responsible delivered wrong, malfunctioning or incomplete item, meanwhile they changed the package themselves.

Many among vendors too will take good item to Jumia or the company during assessment or even when the quality assurance team comes for visitation in order to ensure items by the vendor are perfect, they will never display the bad items which they have in large quantities, the few good and quality ones will be displayed in their store but when it is time to fulfil their part of the deal they deliver something else.

I am not a full time Jumia staff but a full time independent sales consultant. I have been in this business for more than 2 years and i can say that my customers have enjoyed the best items from Jumia, this is because i select the best item from best vendors while i track the delivery agent for successful delivery of any item i order.

Those companies, institutions and groups that i make bulk orders for have never complained about my service and Jumia as a whole, not because everything is perfect but because i know my job.

With the issue of the OP, i know what i quickly had to do to get her item delivered which included calling the supposed delivery agent and the office itself despite the fact that the customer herself had already made different calls which proved abortive as the issue eas network related and not the fault of the delivery agent in the picture attached above. And once in a while such issue occurs, even in our private businesses we have times when such mix up comes up, the response at resolution matters.

Even those western online malls do face many of these issues we are facing with Jumia and others here, but possibly because they have stronger government policies in place, they get resolurions to issues as fast as possible, unlike here where those with influence get 5 star service at the expense of the poor.

Jumia may not be perfect, but trust me, as much as Jumia is trying her best to be of great service to the people, the people around it do not want it to move,but whether they like or not, Jumia will stand.

Well, when you are doing what you love doing and it is paying big time what else do we need? My way of life is paying me, seeing people happy is what i love doing, i am achieving my aim and my pocket is also smiling, not much yet but i am surviving. I know our good deeds will work out for us big time one day, let's just keep being positive my boss.
