This is Australian PR thread and not for student visa. POF is not really needed for Australian PR, but you may be asked by some states to show it and it is not really an issue here. So, I advice you make your case clear so someone can help you out.

OK, thanks. I have been following the Canada PR thread that was why I was asking.

It seems there is nothing you can do about your education points so lets look at other things - Experience, English and Partner point ( If married)

Current point

Age....25
Degree----10
Work Exp----5
English---10 (IELTS 7,7,8.5,8.5)

Total was 50..

- Possible point -

Age....25
Degree----10

Work Exp----15

- as you already know 8 yrs of experience is required for this point, ACS need to remove 5 points from your experience. The solution is

1) re- package your reference letter so that the description is according to the ANZSCO description I can help to review it when you are ready. The 2 years will then be acknowledged.

2) You will need to include pre-graduation part time( at least 20 hours per week) experience for 3 years before your graduation date.

English---15

- Give PTE a try. With this your IELTS score you will get 20 points in PTE

[b]Partner Point
- 5 points

- I don't know if you are married or not but it is worth exploring. You can get 5 points from this.
even if you are not married you can use de facto relationship if the relationship is more than a year and u get some evidence to show that it is indeed more than a year.

Total will be 75

Just keep pushing bro, as you can see it is still possible.

Thanks Azy123 and also @trastar for reaching out to me,

really appreciate your breakdown on this, would start with the repackaging and also get reference for Pre graduation work experience.

@Azy123 sent you a DM

appreciate much

So i started this process of immigration, soaking myself into its details, reading about the different routes and then it was Canada that my focus was on. I had a colleague who had traveled a year back. So i contacted him and he helped simplify the process for me. I and my wife enrolled for IELTS in March 2017 and April 2017. We did the IELTS and scored an overall band of 7.5. My wife scored 6.5 i think. We applied to WES paid and LAUTECH went on strike for close to one year. After the strike, our transcripts was sent and close to I thing September 2017 we got our ECA. But you know the score of 7.5 in listening in my IELTS has broken my back and had no choice than to do another IELTS. People who promised to help with POF reneged. So i was back to square one. The POF was the biggest problem. How can i raise 6 million Naira for a family of four. This was indeed rocket science. I had checked this in 2017 and i concluded that Australia was too far. " what about if there is war" How will i get home, i often ask myself. So I quickly became acquainted with the Australia process after asking questions severally. Somebody called Zany was always there. Alpahdoor, sproxy were always answering questions in a jiffy. I don't think VETASSES will accept this your theory o.

I have an alternate theory:
What about your wife doing a postgraduate diploma with NTI and assess as a secondary school teacher?

What do you think? I've not really researched this option, but I think it may be better than wasting money with VETASSES

Lol...well thanks. Your theory seems like a nice one... but i think i will give it a shot. It depends on how well we can prove that she has gained that experience in her teaching role. So i intend to show in the CV, details of relevant practical training and other stuff. Also she taught practicals and managed thes school farm, which could also pass for relevant experience. I think we can give it a try

I have a colleague who read estate management with only one year (NYSC) experience in the estate department of a polythecnic. He was able to get Vetassess to give him a positive assessment by packaging his reference letter and other documents well. So i think we can follow suit

Please advise, I got 65 points going by the first thread on this (Age: 30 points; IELTS: 10 points; Skilled employment: 10 points; Educational qualification: 15 points). My MSc has been verified by WES. Studied Economics (both B.Sc and M.Sc). Please advise me on how to apply or am I eligible for an expression of interest (EOI)?

Still here folks. Stopped following Part 1 on page 400 (about the time spyroxy1 got grant). Had a disappointing IELTS (9.0,8.5, 7.5,7.0) result again. EOR took more than three months and still came back negative. I need 20 maximum points. Got discouraged and abandoned thread.

But I am back. Congratulations to all who have received ITA, grant and conquered English.

Speaking and writing are my weak points. I have never scored more than 7.5 at any point in both. My handwriting is terrible. I have a thick ''bush'' Yoruba accent. Is PTE any easier? I don't want to throw away money again. No point rushing. Any ideas my people?

Praiseisgood you have forgotten me oo. It seems I am the only Accountant/Auditor left here oo. 80 points for Auditors? God help us!

Salute to the masters Bellong, Alphadoor and Mamajaz.

I think you are mixing something up. This is Australian PR thread not Canadian PR thread. As a result, you have no business with WES if you are considering Australia.

I feel for you, bro. Sorry to hear about the recent setbacks. Nothing to do but pick yourself up and try again.

My handwriting is absolutely terrible, so I never bothered with IELTS; went with TOEFL instead. I could share the simulator I used - but, to be honest, it may not address the weak points you identified (speaking and writing). While the simulator has all 4 sections, it doesn't quite grade your speaking and writing (only reading and listening are graded). It might help with confidence, though. Happy to share, if you still feel its worth it.

I'm not sure I know what an "EOR" is - but I'm sure there are people on this thread with enough insight and experience to help you beat it.

Good luck as you pick yourself back up.
