The 2nd Black Hawk ever in history to enter civilian service outside the US, the fire-fighting WhiteHawk, has appeared at her first air show.
Really impressed with the refurbishment job Mark Jackson and his guys at Leading Edge Aviation in Nelspruit, have done. A new glass cockpit and avionics upgrade. Now for the next one at the end of the year.

Personally, I think Denel should acquire 5 of these babies, unleash their nerds at them with a brief to adapt them for our hot and high conditions, for when our 39 Oryx need to be replaced in about a decade. To be fair they should do the same with the MI-8 and let the 2 go into competition after the upgrades.
And yes I know the 3rd option is to buy excess SuperPumas off the market and upgrade them to Oryx standard.

SIGHHHHH! When will you Saffas ever recognise a false flag? its disappointing in this day and age you still don't see the hands of your transplanted Lithuanian Caucanderthals up to their normal mischief.
Why would 'extremist' Muslims kill their own instead of the many Jewish worshippers at the nearly 10 Durban synagogues on a Friday?

You quite like conspiracies, don't you?
The current working thesis is that this is a criminal gang act. Cape Town has Morrocans extorting fellow native Muslims in a protection racket; Durban has Egyptians; and Johannesburg has Pakistanis.
Terror organisations mainly use SA for R&R, E&E and fund-raising. They know not to mount attacks here as they get rolled up pretty quickly.
PAGAD was rolled up in no time; and so were the kebabs when they deviated from fund-raising and started planning attacks in Cape Town. Hell, even the MEND guy was taken off the scene when he went from extorting Nigerian businesses in SA to plotting attacks in Nigeria from SA soil.
Same with the Iranians who established companies in SA to avoid sanctions on importing German centrifuges into Iran.
And the Al-Qaeda guys who instructed operatives to marry Saffers to obtain passports to get into the West.
Relevant to you: so was the Qaeda self-servicer responsible for logistics for the Kenya and Tanzania embassy bombings when he sought refuge in SA.
Just a few examples to show our LEOs -not military-have got this. It's not for nothing that Gaddafi and Mubarak amongst others, were using SA technology to spy on their citizens.

Absolute Rubbish.

You need to look at the map to see why South-Africa is unlikely to be a hot-bed for terrorism. It is not rocket science that a country far isolated and in a Christan dominated region wouldn't be a hot bed for terrorism.

It has nothing to do with the effectiveness of SA security. You don't have an effective security architecture anyway.

Henry Okah was a gun runner buying arms from RSA and shipping them through Angola and Equatorial guinea. He was arrested because the Nigerian government demanded the SA government do so after the 2010 bombing.

You need to stop telling lies.

I always find it laughable when you South-Africans, especially you and Patches peddle false truths.

A proven cowardly liar seeking to engage me? For the benefit of everyone here, I dare you to challenge me on why I openly denounce you as a congenital liar. Go on and do defend what little honour you have left or sod off!

"You?" grin grin grin grin

You're quite inconsequential. I'm calling you out for the lies and half-truths you're so comfortable with telling.

I persist in calling Henry240 a congenital liar and coward. I give him an opportunity to restore what honour he thought he had by questioning why I call him such. Lest newbies here thought I was unfairly harsh.

What does he do? Obfuscate.
The pic best explains.

Can everyone now see that Frumentius the fake army man is telling unnecessary needless lies just to feel good about himself.

On October 21, 2010, Noel Zeeman, a Lieutenant-Colonel in the SAPS made a submission to a regional court in Johannesburg stating that the SAPS, ‘working in a close proximity with their Nigerian counterparts’, had built a formidable case against Mr. Okah, who is generally regarded as the head of Nigeria’s militia group, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND).

"You dont have effective security architecture"

Says the guy who lost about 1/5 of his country to terrorists.

This has literally nothing to do with you - and no, no one wants to hear your opinion. If you want to trade insults, go to the other forum.

I am more than happy to educate you in the correct thread. Interestingly, you avoid me there.

Post in the appropriate forum, or you will catch a ban (again)

Condescending coward.

Meanwhile you are being slaughtered on the other thread with historical facts not the lies and fake story you peddle that makes even your own country men ashamed to call you one of their own.

Only a coward capitulates for a ban.

I really like how the camo scheme looks on the Augusta. Light stripe down the centre visually splits it in two from a far.

The NAF & Nigeria's Armed Forces
My Take: I can say with all sense of conviction the NAF is currently back to it's glory days. The next focus should be to exceed that.

For the Nigerian Armed Forces as a whole I dare say it is currently the African Military relatively akin to NATO standards in leadership, kit, preparedness and proficiency.

The Nigerian Air Force under Sadique Baba Abubakar has shown immense professionalism hitherto un-heard off south of the Sahara.

Encomiums have been pouring in, to bring NAF back to the glory days of the 80's, Sadique Abubakar needs to serve for life.

I love what i'm seeing. Today we have a force that deploys Nigerian made vehicles.
