egbon Arrest ke ! That will be an abuse of democracy.

The same IGP who said he can date any Police woman he want ?

The same IGP who blatantly flayed President order by not remaining in Benue ?

The same IGP who said a seating Governor (Gov Ortom of Benue) is not fit to rule ?

The National Assembly, being the mouthpiece of the entire 180 million Nigerians summoned you three times and he failed to appear three times!

I say his arrest and subpoena is long overdue angry

While I loathe the caucus in the NASS I don't believe that symbol of government should be treated with such disrespect that the IGP does.

While not dabbling into politics, its altogether weird that the CinC keeps mum about these "interesting" things

The IGP is enjoying unfettered support from the Presidency especially from Maman Daura the President's nephew.

Understood but that is not the authority of the CDS to arrest, things are not done that way.

They would have survived WW2 spotter planes. This is the 21st century, infrared picks you up even in a thick tropical forest.

Below are Afghan man on infrared caught banging a goat

This pic reminds me of posts by some Kenyan USMC guys over a decade ago on a now defunct forum. They'd break down doors on midnight raids and often find men even grandfathers in bed with sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, but mainly-BOYS,GODDAMMIT!!?

Dudes, arguing about the rankings is beyond childish.

Anyone whom has even done the most basic bit of statistics would tell you that developing an effective model to rank something as infinity complex as a military is something that, if done, would win you a Nobel prize.

Apart from minutae, like training and moral - which are impossible to quantify. You also have comparisons of doctrine, again impossible to quantify. Or the effects of different individual pieces of equipment - i.e squad radio X v squad radio Y. There are millions of pieces of equipment that would need to be quantified and modeled. Then there are human dynamics - average IQ, literacy rates, education levels, calorific intakes etc etc etc etc etc. Then there are scenarios - most powerful how? where? when?

I also notice, that its only two individuals (no doubt with very high self-esteems*) that are obsessed with their nations rankings in relation to anothers. Grow up.

*sarcasm

For you,sir!

No not at all if it is done within the chain of command which is why I said under the authority of the C-in-C through the CDS. The situation is made even more peculiar with the absence of the president.

Democracy is already being abused.

The CDS acting outside the authority of his commander-in-chief will be considered high treason however that is not even necessary as the way things work in Abuja is one word of dismissal communicated from the office of the president through the right source in the presidency and the IGP will be packing his bags with immediate effect even before he sees the presidential courier arriving at his headquarters within minutes of the order. That's the way.

However it is the job of the CDS his principal military adviser and the NSA to advise the president accordingly following the unprofessional and irresponsible conduct of the IGP in respect to the Senate.

The problem is the president not the IGP.

@Oyinpr didn't you make any vid? Cos I find this one below par which is why I didn't post it. As usual the way things are done in Naija more view of the politician talking than the real thing (bigmanism go kill us). If it were the southies they'd so well edit that display by now the internet will be popping.

Very beautiful and entertaining Nigerian Air Force documentary.

It is becoming increasingly clear that we might not purchase the JF-17. No mention of the aircraft in any of the last 3 documentaries produced by the Air Force.

Why is it that the standard issued gun to African countries is a Rifle unlike their counterparts in Europe and USA where the standard issued gun is a side arm ?

Local gun manufacturing is growing at an alarming rate in Nigeria, they no longer depend on smuggling of AK 47's, they buy from local manufacturer and attack in huge number, below are some criminal gang caught yesterday, who operate at birnin gwari axis of Kaduna state.(don't laugh at the triggers)

Futa launched some Nano satalites too. I have never checked OR read about the technology behind it but it's good to see something coming out of our institutions.

Std issue for SAP is a side arm(Z88 or SP1) but most police vehicles also carry a R5 Rifle in the boot.

Don't know why ISIS would attack a Mosque in SA, Muslims only make up 1.5% of our population....So would make much more sense that they would attack a religion other than their own.

My conclusion is that it was probably not ISIS and most likely an isolated indecent.

Two reasons I assume ISIS;
1. 3 Egyptians linked to the attack and Egypt is currently fighting ISIS in the Sinai peninsula.
2. ISIS West Africa attack worshipers (muslims) at place of worship (mosque) . It might be a doctrine.
