Most Yoruba woman, like their men, have natural loathing and even some inherent hate which manifests as unnecesary antagonism towards igbo men. But Yoruba men love to marry igbo women especially the fair ones and the average igbo women dont naturally loath Yoruba men. Ofcourse there are exemptions to every rule so do give it a try if she is your spec.
Chai! Natural loathing, kwa? You sabi lie, o! shocked Instead of you to tell the truth, that your fellow Igbo men only use these Yoruba girls to pass the time, then when they are ready to get married, they quickly go across the Niger to their SE towns, villages or local govt areas, to marry their Nkirus, Obiagelis, Ngozis and Chidinmas.

The Yoruba girls (especially the ones in Lagos), have now become wiser about the games being played by the Igbo guys, so they choose to avoid them, whenever they come calling. sad A few are yet to learn their lesson however, and they fall prey to those sweet-talking Igbo boys, only to have their hearts shattered at the last minute. There is one of those girls that came for counselling with my Pastor's wife today, you need to have heard her story.... cry

Nobody hates anybody, you see what you intensely focus on. If you find a woman or man you love, go ahead and marry him or her. Life is too short for bullshit! In the long run, your regrets would stem more from the things you didn't do, than from those you did.
Don't mind that clown. angry Ask him how many Yoruba women he knows, that led him to jump to that useless conclusion. undecided Most of the Yoruba women I know, appreciate attention, respect and love and would gladly move mountains to be with the ones they love. Like the one in my life, for example... wink

Edo and Yoruba have been meeting since time immemorial . grin
Probably the most common inter-ethnic marriage in the South.

I want to see Yoruba and an unknown tribe from Taraba or Adamawa.
There are many Yoruba who marry other Northern tribes, in the Middle Belt. Go to Kwara and Kogi. Dem plenty! cheesy

Igbo man trying to marry Yoruba woman...

Who has experienced this? I just wana know. I have never dated a Yoruba girl and I wana know what its like
Love is a beautiful thing. I have dated an igbo guy before, and I can say he was a great guy. It was my parents disapproval that made us part ways. I'm married to a Yoruba now and he's even greater, 10 years now and still counting.

If you can cross the parents' hurdles, then she's all yours. But these are turn offs that will pitch you against her or her people, now or in future:

-Not respecting her and her parents all because you are rich.
-Telling her not to work or sit at home minding the kids, kai!

So my dear, its worth the trial. Forget all these tribal tantrums here, people just come here to relax, they say things just to get 'likes'.

All the best.

You don't know what you are missing! cheesy Inter-ethnic unions have the variety to spice things up for life. Once there is love, tolerance, respect, compatibility and wisdom, it works....

But why are Yoruba parents naturally like that?
That sounds petty and primitive.
I thought they say Yorubas are educated
