You haven't answered my questions. I think you are afraid to expose your incompetence.

Were u ever taught that in the first 3 days of administration that warfarin has thrombotic tendency and should be given along with another anticoagulant like I.v heparin for the first 3 days? No ...u just cram nonsense.

Look at you ...what a show of complete nonentity.

In the first place r all acute febrile illness malaria? Stupidity! That is how a pharmacist tx a 12yr old girl with menigitis as resistant malaria untill the girl came down with cranial nerve 8 palsy(sensorineural deafness).

You think I framed up those questions? Those are typically what a doctor is faced with. Not just drug-drug interactions. How many px have died by combining ciprofloxacin with paracetamol? But dare give digoxin to a px with heart failure secondary ishemic hrt dx the patient is as good as dead.
I don't expect a good clinical acumen from a pharamacist afterall you guys know nothing about pathology. You think microbiology is pathology?
Have you ever been to a morbid pathology, chemical pathology or hematology class?
Only a doc with good knowledge of hematology can answer my first question.
only a doc with good knowledge of morbid pathology can answer my third ?
Unlike a pharmacist, a medical doc's knowledge pf pharmacology doesn't end with just drug use, moakinetics n dynamics n indications/c-indications n sideeffects.....a doc studies step by step how a drug can modify, alleviate or even worsen a pathology.
A pharmacist can't make a diagnosis...ofcourse a pharmacist knows nothing abt pathology.

I have just teach you the answer to my no.2 question now answer no1 and 3 and prove to me you are not a total duns.
Don't kill the mumu nah.
In my school, the pharmacy guys only have clinical posting in basic Medicine 1 for about 6 weeks in their final year and they are only required to come 3 times in a week. I had friends there.

Imagine people like that claiming to know more than a physician because he did a watery 6 weeks posting learning the difference between signs and symptoms.

Isn't that laughable

The knowledge gap is just too wide. The JOHESU charlatans can keep deceiving themselves on nairaland but the fact is sacrosanct.

You guys are stooping so low by dignifying all these mere drug dispensers with brilliant answers. See the questions that put them off balance. Leave all these dispensers alone. You guys are far ahead of them. Their problem is inferiority complex. They don't even know that pharmacology is just an integral part of the voluminous work of a doctor. Yet, they are still being put off balance in pharmacology. Pharmacists are as useless in these country as P in psychology. Chemists are doing better than some of them. The only thing they know how to do best is rubbing shoulders with doctors. Lab scientists are more important than them. They will now start competition for space and job with chemists.

Sentiment apart, Pharmacists are very useless in this country. I would rather encourage people who may not be interested medicine/Dentistry to consider medical lab science than encouraging them for pharmacy just because, unless the person plans to relocate to another country, they are valueless and useless. Diligent lab scientists in the house.... I 'm proud of you guys even though there are few rogues among you guys too. I hold you guys in high esteem for brilliant test results from you guys. Come to think of it, why would I encourage someone to go and spend 4or5 yrs in the University and at the end of day, he will now start competition with chemists. The lucky ones that get dispensing jobs in the government hospital will now be rubbing shoulder with doctors due to low self-esteem and inferiority complex. Imagining going to the ward to review a patient that you are not invited to come and review and at the end of the day whatever you do doesn't make any difference or affect the line of treatment. Yoruba call it '' more gbo, mo ya ''. Shame on the Nigerian Pharmacists. No doctors will go and review a patient unless he is invited.

The nurses too, will claim they are the owners of the patients and they can do whatever any doctor can do apart from surgery. I pity you guys. what they know how to do best is to put their big butts in a very tight white gown and be tempting doctors and the patients with there laps and butts and then start gossip in their cubicles while patients need their attention. Many auxiliary nurses are more skilful and with high sense of mannerisms than our big-butted self acclaimed skilled nurses. Let me stop here for now.

This mumu go copy google.
Wannabe doctor.. my last question gave him away. grin cheesy

Clowns who can't even lace the shoes of a pre clinical medical students
I could equally have used google there and for you to be okay with those answers i gave shows the nature of dr you are . They typical nigerian type who knows nothing of individualised therapy. All they know is following a particular protocol once a patient presents with signs and symptoms of what they think they've handled before. who does that anymore?
I'm not a toxicology pharmacist...I'm not even in the clinical environment and believe me if you should meet with one who's in the same area of specialty as you and though he wouldn't be doing everything like you do cos of job description and division of labour, there's nothing you know that he doesn't have the knowledge of and he'll match you bumper to bumper if not even better than you...Could that be the reason NMA is fighting specialisation in pharmacy practice? saying subtly that we should concentrate on drug discovery and production. The health field is an evolving one with lots of innovations coming out weekly...naija drs should try to evolve too. The way NMA fought pharm.D then was like these guys are going to be trained to do drs stuff. That shouldn't be your fears as we know our areas of expertise and job description and as I will always say you guys should accept the fact that the dispensers of yesterday are today's clinicians. Our scope of practice keeps on expanding by the day. In climes where things works even though the dr leads the team he alone cannot reach conclusion on clinical matters. it's not only medical care that gets the patient well, there're other types of care too. It's a joint and team effort not this thing in Nigeria where the dr is all knowing.

This wannabe thing is another thing i can't understand. who brainwashed you guys to think that everyone in health sciences wanted to study medicine? for God sake medicine was my second choice and if you want evidence i can upload it here. I still have my jamb registration slip and result...i would have studied medicine if I had wanted...it's inglorious to me so stop hyping empty nonsense.

Is it Medicine/Dentistry you called empty nonsense?

This shows that all your rants are as a result of envy, jealousy and low self esteem.

sorry oooh...i sorry sorry for you. The man who trains quacks and value them more than trained professionals. where in the world will the medical team go on rounds alone? You go on rounds making clinical decisions alone without inputs from other areas patient care could come from and you're happy saying it. isn't that the reason we rank so low in health care delivery? it's a thing of shame and it also shows why we are at the place we are ranking below Somalia, Bolivia and congo. War ravaged Syria, Vietnam and Yemen rank better than us. You should hide your face and apologies to mother nature.
You are not even ashamed saying auxiliary nurses are better than trained nurses. May those auxiliary nurses and chemist be the ones to attend to your family health related needs in the name of your god. Docile sets of people that does nothing to improve their profession; no innovation, evolution and nothing. In their hands our hospitals have become mere consulting clinics. How many patients have you killed as a result of your ignorance and arrogance? I pray you don't fall a victim of the system you're encouraging

am sure u won't want him to take u round the clock of MBBS
in the like of
Radiology, neuroscience, psychiatric, paediatric ,surgery , pathology, O&G ,medicine and the rest as far as petient management is concern..

Doctor still know these and still know if not more than u the pharmacology u spent 4years to know.

its a pity, who curse pharmacy student self...very low IQ set of people who wail but was given hope set on a deformed pedals.
that if they can struggle for survival..alas

FYI, maybe that's y MBBS board set high admission cut off before admission so only people with high brain capacity will fit and come in,

hmm, trust me u will never see a doctor stoop so low to study pharmacy after his MBBS degree but plenty pjarm are here in my college begging to survive the heat in MBBS..

This war of words should end. whether we like it or not, we're team mates caring for our patients from different points of care and perspective. Drs are leaders of the health team and i have great respect for them. I have many of them as friends from school and have met with so many others now in practice. walahi this is the kind of pharmacist I can decide to make few drug enquiries from just to clarify ,

with this , team work will be possible , for goodness sake, no matter how big a bus is, we can't have two drivers, same in the hospitals all over the world, Doctor lead medical team since he has quality knowledge in hospital sectors as regard patient management, understood by other health worker, and are ready to support the medic with the knowledge they have as far as a patient is concern,

Doctor on his own side too well known he his not a pro in all, just a human being, won't hesitate to ask whoever he deem fit and the patient is good to go,

if this can sink into our head, cooperation awareness will make patient running abroad to remain calm in Nigeria, we have expertise health workers who are cooperative,

with this, if any member feels he need a better pay, No hatred intention, everybody support him /her to get his increment..
e.g last time in Canada where doctors have to protest increment of other health worker pay, that's as a result of cooperative system..

all the same,
our sanity will be back ,

My brother I like your comment, just that we should place some of these quacks where they should be so they will stop misinforming the unsuspecting public. I too have plenty doctor friends, great and enlightened ones that will even seek the opinion of Pharmacists other health professionals when they are confused. I respect such doctors that know what they are doing and not these nairaland warriors. Pharmacy and Medicine are noble professions and nobody will want to take shit from each other.
Thank you my brother and thank you to all the medical radiographers, doctors, physiotherapist, nurses, lab scientist and Pharmacist in the house.
I rest my case.

Continue to live in denial. I just pity you guys having seen what you guys are facing after school and what you faced while in school. Go to any community, get the estimate ratio of professional Pharmacists and trained chemists. It will surprise you to know that the number of chemists surpass that of Pharmacists. Take it or leave it. Pharm B ko, Pharm Q ni. Both chemists and our so called pharmacist are drug dispensers. Except for few of you that were able to distinguish themselves in pharmaceutical companies. Guys, your job is under threat. This not to tell you that you should go and start harassing chemists in the community because most of them are doing better than the so called professionals.

For your information, virtually all the private hospitals in the country have pharmacy section and sell drugs directly for their patients. Most doctors in the these hospitals employ pharmacist and give them crumbs and some of these doctors trained some of their nurses to be able to dispense drugs as well. Pharmacy in Nigeria is a total MESS. I will never advise anyone to read that course if the possibility to travel out is not guaranteed. It's a pity. Medical lab science is a better alternative course to read. I respect the diligent ones among them.

Both chemists and our so called pharmacist are drug dispensers. if not because of this lack of cooperation and relax while the doctor lead the medical team as regard patient management, beef and hatred comes in..
chemist representing pharmacist in private hospital is uncalled for..

My Doctor bro have his private hospital with a pharmacy section in it but the guy dispensing drug there is just a Bsc holder which my brother trained well to dispense, and the guy is doing fine though its wrong of my doc bro, but that is what the beef and hatred have made medical doctor have no any other choice than to hinder the progress of their haters ,,right now this guy already have a junior worker under his training too to be a assisting dispenser..

all the same sha, I know we will get things right very soon,,

Mumu you and your team of quack doctors can not still tell me how hepatotoxicity in paracetamol poisoning occurs. Doctor! Doctor!! Almost 48hours and you and you team of 6 quack doctors couldn't come up with an answer. Shame on you and that you useless mbbs that has no other value outside the 4walls of your consulting cubicle. You mentioned Radiology, neuroscience, psychiatric, paediatric ,surgery , pathology, O&G which are areas in your field, what if I take you round in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical microbiology, Pharmacognosy, Nanomedicine and Technology, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Drug design. If you are not a Pharmacist, you can never be a Pharmacist.

Waillers!!
Doctors are already stooping low according to you with their mbbs to come and study Pharmacy.
Jealousy and envy will continue to kill you.

If you are not a Pharmacist hide your face or go pick the next jamb form or DE form and apply with ur mbbs and start 2nd year.

See this loser with a single digit IQ.
You are still ranting about paracetamol.
We already thrashed that out here and even went ahead to discuss the morbid anatomy and GI medicine.

If you are still in doubt, I could give you the contact of a part 4 medical student so he could lecture you on NAPBQI , p450 , Gluthatione and the role of alcohol in acetaminophen toxicity.

Bye chemist !!! grin

There was no point arguing further. I knew you used google.
The clinical question gave you away.

I honestly don't care about the rest of your rant undecided
Peace !!!

True !! Boss.
I ll stop henceforth.
I think that big butt is a prerequisite for studying nursing grin cheesy

As if I wasn't a government medical officer just couple months ago. Without allowances , it's about 130k. Allowances make up the others

TVC has long gone to the dogs. That's why channels news has won station of the year for 10 straight years

Wailer!
I pity you and also pity those that come to see you. Let God save them from your hands. Shame on you. You are hiding under the shadow of your colleague that can't even aswer simple question. That's why you keep doing copy and paste in the clinic and keep killin innocent patients with your illiteracy. You wouldn't want pharmacist to take up ward round because you are scared. We will keep exposing you quacks till you humble youself and learn. Pharmacists will keep exposing you. Simple paracetamol question you cannot answer and you call youself a doctor. Which school did you graduate from?
I did not see this your response early but it is unfortunate that half baked knowledge is worse than ignorance. So I am now an illiterate for not wasting my time to reply your paracetamol question. By giving the site of metabolism as the liver, cytochrome p450 as the metabolic pathway enzyme system via glucronidation and sulfation , and N-acetylcysteine as a competitive inhibitor of N-acetyl-p- benoz- quinone imine in one sentence ; l have given you a summary of paracetamol metabolism and management of its poisoning .
However how many patients have you seen in our environment that present with paracetamol poisoning and if the pharmacist only knowledge is the metabolism of paracetamol, then very pathetic. As a copy and paste doctor and as a surgical resident, a pharmacist is the least person I will need in our rounds. Please note patient mgt goes beyond drugs and it's metabolism. I wish I could do a live discussion with you in so that I can put you in your proper position as l normally do to your colleagues in the Federal Hospital were I am currently training . Johesu can only win this current war when they bridge the knowledge gap between them and doctors but are they willing to pay the price? Are they willing to study more than they did as undergraduates which is the life of a resident doctor? I have only met one nurse during my housemanship who appeared formidable but the rest health workers including pharmacists, disappear before academic battle begins.
Please mister pharmacist, you have never reviewed and managed a patient but want to tell doctors what to prescribe and how to manage their patients. I am waiting for you and your relatives in our clinic so that l can deploy my "illiterate" skills and knowledge which is way beyond what you can comprehend on them. See you in my clinic soon

Okay, I get it! The divisiveness in healthcare is caused by some physicians with SUPERIORITY COMPLEX. Smh! It’s worst in the US, people are leaving healthcare to start their own businesses, there’s too much insult. Physicians were classy in the past, not anymore because they’re in the profession for the prestige & pay (becoming a doctor is not the best way to make money), not to help people.
I’m here to help my brother decide what profession his personality would suit. We have chosen, PharmD it is! Cool & collected while running his own business. You! Go learn how to be classy. sad
