Thank you very much.

monchat:

1. No, confirmation letter will not affect it but, if u d'nt av it no problem , it is just that it helps atimes if u are applying as an employee of a company. If u av a good HR in y organisation he/she should be able to write confirmation letter for u after 6months probation. Let the HR check y staff fille and calculate 6months u joined the company and write the letter, if it is not possible u can leave it, your employment letter, payslips will cover it.

2. Your 2M depends on how long u will stay in the UK.

FGN bond certificates, TBills certificate and other investment certificates are what u will fill when asked if u av other savings or investment. The most important thing is showing a good comprehensive statement of account with a good closing balance. The ECO wants to see your total budget in your account and the remaining amount to show that u av something to fall bk on when u guys return. So u av to do a good mathematics here. Your statement of account is preferable.
3. If tax certificate is not available no problem but , note that, if there is no tax deduction stated in your payslips, it will lead to refusal. UK are really concerned with your tax deduction, they d'nt joke with it, so it is compulsory u must av it stated in y payslips.
4. Letter of invitation is not compulsory if u d'nt av any one inviting u guys. All u need to do is go to booking.com and book hotel for duration of stay and print out from y email. U will take it along with u when u want to submit y documents, it serves as proof of accomodation.
5. Landed properties ps. If u no get am no problem.
6.yes of course, it is one of the widely used for booking hotels
7. U can not book for flight reservation until your visa is approved.

Quick Question Please!

Please, if I have a "multiple entry visa" of 1 year, does this mean that I can enter, exit the country and enter again as many times as I wish without applying for a new visa for that 1year?

Thanks!

Allonah:
Hello Sir @Justwise and every other expert. Finally had to join nairaland so I could ask my questions. so i will give a bit of a background to my questions, I currently live in Sweden as a full time masters student for about a year now.

I was refused a UK visa to see my sister and her husband during my Christmas holidays last year because i mentioned i had other family members in the UK but did not provide their biopages and proof of legal residence (didnt do so because they were away on vacation), but i provided all my sister and her husband's documents as full sponsors - bank statements, invitation, utility bills, birth certs of my sister and i, bio pages and proof of legal residence in the UK, plenty docs from school to prove my being in full time studies - the whole nine yards.

So I have reapplied for summer and my biometrics will be in the middle of June. My sister and husband are moving on to Canada at the end of the month on ministry assignment. This time, my brother and family will be around and they want me to spend the holidays with them.
My invitation letter was addressed and signed by my sister-in-law and she is sending docs to me (both brother and wife are British citizens) but my brother is too busy! so they agreed that she would do my letter and send her own docs.

I didnt include my sister and her husband as family residing in the UK because they are moving in 3 days and wont be in the UK in July when I plan to visit. I stated my sister-in-law as sponsor and my teenage nephews and her as relatives in the UK alone without mentioning my brother? Will this be okay?
looking forward to your thoughts on this? i was thinking about mentioning these in my cover letter or just leave it alone.
Please help me with this question. thank you

Hello guys, I just came accross this wonderful forum...and i love the fact that there are civilization people on here....Please i need a kinda assessment and suggestion...
I was surfing the Internet sometime 2weeks ago and saw some few interesting thingstring about the UK, though I have not thought about visiting the UK before now. Insight of this, i was amazed and immediately searched the application process. jokingly, i applied and paid the visa fee immediately since all i was asked was at my disposal...But what bothers me is i think i dont hAve enough knowledge and advice from someone that has applied before and wont like to be denied for an unworthy reason...so i would like to share my info for a brief assessment and advice..

I am a business owner in Lagos (hotel), i own 2 properties, currently I have about 1.3 million in my 3 accounts (including my business account which is about 3months old)but I can make all total 2million before my appointment date,I am single, when asked in the application how much i would spend for the trip, i inputted 1million (i dont know if this is too small)...I have travelled to Dubai and Ivory Coast...and i forgot to state that I purposely fixed an appointment for 29th of June so i can prepare well and also at the time i applied, i didnt input any hotel reservation or booking (I hope this is not bad)

Please guys I need to know if there is something I need to get to make my application successful....I await your response guys..Cheers

You guys know you don't have to submit hard copies of documents anymore. Now they scan everything and give you back your documents immediately. I didn't know that initially.

No. You need a Schengen visa to visit Schengen countries if you carry a Nigerian passport.

Hello.

I would appriecte some advice. So I have a boyfriend in Nigeria (I am a British citizen). I would like to sponsor his visit to the UK for approx 2 weeks.
With honesty can you please tell me the likelihood of being accepted for a visitor visa. And how much would he have to have in his bank account if I am sponsoring his visit? With me sponsoring do they still look at his situation?

Thanks.

Dear bosses and gurus on this thread, good evening to you. Please, a little issue on ground and I really don't know what to advise, but we will read and follow your sound take.

In the days of backdating exit dates, someone did too and she did successfully renew her visa without hassles despite quoting and using the backdated date for her visa renewal application, but the five years visa given her on that renewal in 2011 however has expired now (no backdating was done on this visa's usage).

She wants to renew now and she's confused as to whether to stick to the backdated date as used in obtaining her last visa back then or to just write out the correct exit date this time around. What do I advise? Isn't this trouble? Should sleeping dog just be allowed to lay there or a can of worms would get opened?

Super guides @Justwise and Ekpotek; and other gurus; how will this pan out? Thanks

Be reasonable for once, we all know that a salary of ₦18k cumulatively for a whole year without taking a Kobo from it can't even buy you a return ticket,Same way a salary of ₦250k a month is not automatic to grant you a Visa... Nothing is cast in concrete

We all know that UK visa is like a gamble. Most people apply but few are granted. UK are short of Doctors & Nurses. Thousands applied for the post, they met the requirements but most of them are denied the Visa despite the fact that the NHS in England has nearly 100,000 jobs unfilled in the Health sector

Obviously if she stated a date different from what they have in the system on her profile..the outcome will not be positive.

She has to pray long and hard that the backdating issue is not found out

As a working adult sponsorship for visiting visa is out of this, you have to meet the visa requirement as an individual even as you are traveling with family members.

Yes you need to add your bank statement and yes again you need to put their names and they also have to put your name in their own application form

Wow! Seems a very tough one right now from calculations.... Both steps are wahala-laden, changing details at this point seems suicidal from the look of things. She may just have to take her chances and stick to previously submitted info, fear won't allow me advise otherwise....

"I'm here for 9 days" she told them, but ended up spending 2 months then as she was fresh out of school, capitalizing on the advantage of backdating those days which did work for her. But it looks like something is about to sting her now in return.... Sighs
