Love is defined as a profound feeling of trust, security and intense attraction towards someone or described as a complex set of emotions, behaviours, and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection or protectiveness, warmth and respect for another person. It is subdivided into four types ; Agape or unconditional love, Storge or Empathy bond, Eros or erotic bond, and Philia or friend bond.
Since it can only be felt not seen, how can love be explained?
I've read in novels, and I have seen in movies where this feeling is described as seeing butterflies when you think of the person you're attracted to, or your heart skips a beat when you think of'em.
As convincing as this claim seem, not all believe in it. This can be compared with believing in God's existence and people's acceptance, especially scientists. What we refer to as love, is rather more of a deliberate care and sense of responsibility for someone. Feeling obliged to do certain things because that person depends on you. You can't believe in what you do not see.
Lust on the other hand, can be described as a feeling of strong desire, especially those driven by sexual arousal. It is quite difficult to distinguish between love and lust, because lust can be perceived as love even by the person exhibiting the feelings.
Ask yourself, why do married people get into a rut(dull routine), which usually leads to disagreement, fight, infidelity and ultimately divorce? At some point, their differences set in and attraction diminishes or vanishes completely.
If true love exists, I guess it has to be accompanied by grief, pain, melancholy. A case study, is that of Romeo and Juliet, their end was tragic.
Why is it common to have unreciprocated love? Whereby the person you love does not love you back, but also loves someone else who doesn't love'em back?
Will it be right to say, not everyone is bound to experience love?
If you happen to experience true love, good for you. If the person you love, reciprocates genuinely, then you're lucky. If you both love each other unconditionally with no obstacles, opposition, and pain, then you are living in fantasy.
Conclusively, not everyone is meant to experience genuine love. Only few do.
At this juncture, I might be right to infer that love is complicated, a mystery and doom bound.

undecided Love is that butterfly feeling in your stomach making 'jigi jigi'. That's common sense leaving you.

Love is what you feel when no other soul matters or means more.
