Congrats, you don't have to worry about that.

You have been placed on AP like you said, most of this processing is resolved within 60 days of the interview, but timing will vary based on the individual circumstances of each case. In your case it should take less than 2 weeks. Just keep checking online for an update

Hello Guys,

I'm mad grateful for this thread. Please I need some information, I went for my F-1 Visa interview this morning and the VO took my passport, I-20 and bank statement, gave me a white paper and told me that he wants to check my bank statement. the bank statement is extremely legit.

Can I still be rejected and how long do these checks usually take?

Your interview went well. Sponsor is just the reason for this denial. Since your parents are alive, why will your aunt be sponsoring you from secondary school days. I smell lies there. You didn't give a good reason why your aunt is sponsoring you.

The American Embassy take a holistic approach based on your sponsor, liquid/semi liquid/ fixed assets and take a view and Since your father has enough in his bank statement covering first year of tuition fees/living expenses as that will lend lot of credibility they might consider the stock investment. But the disadvantage is that US Visa authorities also know that the value of stocks/shares are volatile and would prefer expect liquid savings ( bank statement) to be in a position to easily meet the financial requirements of the student.

if this is the only option for funds you have, then just pray and hope for the best

Help! Help!! Help!!!

Peepz, I could not sleep since yesterday after my interview!

I seriously need help from you guys !! Genuine advice and I will come clean . There's an adage "Person wey ask for road no they miss road"

VO gave me a white paper ,saying and I quote " Bank statement showing the Funds for First year and Plan for second year"

My Sponsor : My dad has a 9.6 million spread in his 3 account !

Total fee for a year for study : $23518 (This will cover full year )

He has about 7 million in his Stock/Share/investment( what ever you call it ..Which we will attached to the document ! I want to send the document tomao !

My cry is will this be Good enough ? " Looking back to the statement the VO wrote I don't understand it clearly " The truth is my head is full. I need you guys not to neglect me and say something as regards this ..I will be grateful

Please insult me and I will be glad just need gurus to give me advice before making a decision I will regret !!
Please !!

I need assistance. Was scheduling an appointment (US) and I came across a section: "Visa Priority". Under this sections are two sub-section - Previously refused Visa; and the other "Regular". I clicked on the first (Previously refused), and I was referred to dropbox area. When I called them, I was asked to pay visa. Now, I am at that section and still seeing same thing.

Please, I need assistance

Is it possible to change the sponsor’s name and moreover won’t it be like *what changed and why did she change her mind*?

Getting a sponsor is not a difficult thing just thinking about how feasible its going to be.

Please can i get your number so i can chat with you privately?

They will definitely ask what changed. Its not advisable to reapply if nothing has changed on your application. If you are changing sponsor within a short time, be ready to explain why the change of sponsor but its not advisable to change sponsors within a short period maybe after 6months

As for my number, check my profile and send me a message, will reply you from there

The image is in line with what I said earlier. The population of India runs in Billions thus you have twice or more the number of potential F1 students compared to Nigeria, and also higher number of F1 students from India in Nigeria compared to Nigeria. Notice that all these 10 countries listed have one thing in common - very high population. In terms of probability in math, the higher the population the higher the frequency of occurrence. The point I tried to make earlier is that if Nigeria has 10 million potential F1 students hitting the embassy yearly, India has closer to 70 million yearly and their visa interviews/requirements are tougher than that of Nigeria because the embassy definitely can't let all that huge number in but overall you get more F1 Indian students than F1 Nigerian students because of their much higher sampling size/population.
That’s insightful boss, I concur.
