Honestly I am scared of bin deported. A Nigeria friend I met at Asada shop last week, told me that was what she did when she came to visit her husband with 6months visa, and as soon as the hubby got his permanent resident, he filled for the kids born in the UK and the one she brought from Nigeria. That she stayed for 3years then, finally she was given 2.5 years. But she said the home office refused her application, that she has to go bk to Nigeria and the hubby fill for spouse visa for her but she was stubborn and refused to go bk, she hold on to God in prayers and fasting and today she has her stay and has traveled to Nigeria last year with her family and bk to uk. She just encouraged me not to go bk to Nija but I am scared of deportation. I also know of a family friend that came to visit her husband who is illegal in the UK, the lady was pregnant bf her husband left for UK, so when she was due to give birth, she went to uk and I d'nt know how she did it and organised a uk citizen, that the man was the owner of the child, and the citizen guy filled for her and and baby, today she has her papers. I am scared bc we might not av the same luck. Any body who has any one with the same experience should ps share

Some these nitty-gritty details are being read by the officials of the immigration. This is how they know what people do. One of the reasons they started asking for dna tests to be done before granting permits. We tend to expose ourselves. My brothers from India do more than this but the they never blab.

Not yet, we are just engaged but planning to get married end of the year. He will just pay my bride price to my parents and we just do small marriage blessing, that is all. No need of spending much , now that we av three kids at a go

I guess your bf is holding business visa and not work visa else you will not be paying for the NHS cost.

Paying back the cost of baby birth will work on your favour at the long run and for the fact that you had a triplet is an added advantage because UKBA may show some sort of compassion because of those kids.

Kids born in UK can register as British citizens once one of their parents gets Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). Cost of registration is currently about £1000. So, for the triplets, they will have to pay about £3k. However, if the parents are overstayers, they will have to wait for 10 years to be eligible to register as British citizens. The kids might get discretional leave after staying in UK for 7 years but it will not be citizenship.

Some kids that are stateless can register as British citizens after 5 years though.

It's very clear thanks. Home office is not smiling... For legal residents they should've made it shorter nah... If your kids are born here then they can apply for citizenship after 5 years regardless of the status of the parents application. I'm just wondering coz I hear some people's ILR app is not immediately successful. The kids will then suffer too.. if you're illegal that one is worse

They don't want to be seen as being 'soft'. plus there are a lot of people abusing the system-some have made a killing with their benefit systems esp Eastern Europeans- Romania etc. it's all about balance; imagine Nigeria giving everyone an easy pass when unemployment, crime is skyrocketing

Thanks for your response. My fiance have stayed in uk for five years and he has applied for his permanent resident, which we hope to be successful. The lawyer said as he gets it, he will apply for citizen for the kids. I will be so happy if he gets it and my kids becomes citizen immediately than waiting for this 7years. I am believing God that I will get my stay through my kids. I will stay because of this luvly kids that God has given me.

please everyone am really sorry to derail this topic and please am gon modify once I get a response

this is about a baby sis visa application
she actually applied for settlement visa and
her dad is British and when he's applying for
his citizenship by naturalisation he included
the girls name and the girl is even his next of
kin and the girl did IELTS Test and even
submitted her tuberculossis test result and
her dad submitted loads of docs too
But the point now is she never submitted DNA
test result tho everyone believed that a
paternity test gotten from an unrecognised
hospital will be seen as void and we couldn't
get any hospital recognised by the home
office and loads of mail was sent to the
British embassy just to be sure of the
hospital to visit but they never replied to and
in the course of applying all the mails they
never responded to was printed and
submitted with the application But a birth
certificate gotten 5 years back From NPC and
her dad's name was included in the certificate
and some pictures snapped years back was
also included
Does she stand a chance
She will be getting a response in few weeks
time but everyone is just anxious
And she's not yet 18 but close to 18

infact it's 73days already out of the 90 days stipulated for settlement visa

Completely agree! You don't need proof of address to open a starling account and the process takes less than 30mins. I've been using starling bank for over 6 months with no complaints. In fact, I am considering making it my main account sef.

I needed proof of address to open my Starling account but still it was easy to open and I love the account. Only issue I have is that I can't do cash deposits.
