From what I have heard, even as a GT your monthly salary(with allowances) is close to or more than this figure, like I said, depending on certain factors. Mind you, you will still get upfront at the beginning of the year. Also think about the security of the job. Bro, it’s a good place to work. You will know more when you start.

For me, I think what the mod davide470 did was a matured decision given the delicacy of the situation, the importance of the thread and the emotions attached to it.

Banning people may cause more damage to individuals or make people create new monikers and would most probably not solve the problem.

Rather, thread was temporary closed which was a fair situation to everyone one then it was opened back for all with a message sternly passed across.

He is also human so he isn't perfect.

Nah Captain, you are actually mistaken. There's no logic behind any one of us (by us I mean those genuinely part of the recruitment) wishing any speculated date not to materializing, just so we laugh at the concerned speculator.

The truth is, I am very certain all of us here are really praying and hoping that the speculated 10th comes to happen so we get this whole thing done with.

As for the "negativities and sarcasms" that greets every failed prediction, I think it's just a way we all try to express our frustrations and disappointments, not really with the person whose prediction didn't come to pass, but with the seemingly unending process.

This reaction I must admit, is perhaps not the best. But the way I see it, I'd rather have a "laugh" than "mourn" each time there is a failed prediction

No they are not. These recruitment is for 2016 n we hoping they will finish it dis year, basically we have bn waiting for since den. Bh u can try prison, immigration, fire service, n civil defence if she interested.

to earn this amount in DPR, u must be in one of d directorial levels. before u guys abandon international jobs for this DPR, pls critically evaluate ur option o. most of us here r just following things we hear. the allowances u r talking about r not given to newly employed, n it doesn't come d way u guys r thinking it does. some persons r talking about how they pay huge sums upfront!! mmmmmm I only pray u guys don't get disappointed with d way u r thinking.

I can’t give the exact figures, read this post again, the 140k he eventually got was the basic. It’s best you just wait till you start working.

If u are thinking of 400k a start, forget it. Think 190-250k. My friend who got gt under nnpc had a net pay of 178k for a start. This was 2yrs back sha. sooooo, i dont think dpr will vary so much or go beyond 250k considering what that guy above said abt diploma. Most govt jobs dont have much difference between levels. U only begin to see huge variations when u get to like lev 12.

Make this APL drop first, all this money talk to sweet then.

Morning fellas, I have just being quietly following this thread and I must say some guys here have tried with their infos!
I am opportune to have some kind of connect in DPR due to my job functions..

1. The minister of state directed the DPR mgt to finish up the recruitment process by May..which has just passed!

2. That all successful candidates should resume by June!

3. I have not confirmed what it is tho..but I placed a call to a key member in phc office just to have a chat and during the convo, she asked if I was in town and that I should “stroll to the office next week”.. I don’t know what that means tho...

But I believe people should start getting calls from this weekend!

For most of you that’s being pessimistic abt the June 10 so as to shame me or anybody, what’s yur gain in life? Isn’t it even good that we stop posting what we hear here and wait till it happens so that haters won’t have anything to say abt us. The same reason why Tamihawt and smartgrid left here. If a prediction doesn’t come to pass, it doesn’t mean the speculator is lying. A lot of people don’t know the magnitude of this DPR job. Things change fast and very quick, that’s why I say we shd pray always.

The most difficult set of living thing to lead, organise, direct, instruct, inform and inspire are the human being. So sad But it is the basic truth.

We allow our waivering faith interfer with reality and optimism. No wonder just two of the twelve spies brought words of optimism and faith back to the people. Not because they wanted to raise hopes of conquering Jericho but because they knew their Source, the I am that I am.

Apologies for going a bit spiritual but that is the fact. It is advisable to always keep your doubts to yourself no matter how impossible a venture might seem. For Gods sake if some certain people have listened to doubters there wouldn't be airplanes, telecommunications, to mention but a few.

Our senators affirmatively assured its citizens that budget would be passed on 24th April. We all waited but unfortunately that didn't happen. They weren't joking when that date was fixed but somehow it didn't happen but happened few weeks after.

Pessimists, what Ferguson said is an authentic information. True to the core. I have no evidence to believe him but i believe 100%. If it does not happen on or before the 10th then something came up from some quarters. Yet that doesn't make him a liar and speculator.

And if peradventure it doesn't happen on that 10 which i am optimistic it will happen, any derogatory remarks will be seen as a sign of immaturity. You should be composed and tame your frustrations. That would be needed in this DPR job
