These are very stupid reasons my dear.

It's not as if you live in peace with all your Christian brothers. Don't some still betray you?

And you must be very Petty to attach unnecessary importance to something as insignificant as food. Something you need to survive. You're now discriminating against it.
This is a very stupid reply to my very stupid reply. I'll assume you have not lived in an environment crawling with Muslims. You'll have known better.
You must also be very carefree to think that the source of food is insignificant.

Have you ever heard of "Sarra"? It's done by Yoruba Muslims (I don't know if it is called another thing in mainstream Islam) Basically what happens in Sarra is that a Muslim with a problem (Barrenness, impotence, poverty, etc) buys Some food items, chants certain Quranic passages (usually it's an Alfa that does the chanting) on the food, then prepares the food and shares it to NON-MUSLIMS living within his vicinity. At least one of the people who eat such food will either die or have the same problems transferred to him/her while the problems leave the muslim. Some of the rich ones throw really big celebration parties in order to share this food usually to children and young adults (coz they still have vigour) You have to stay woke bro. It's not just any food you eat oo. Things are happening all around

How was ur day

Just as a commenter above submitted, halal food prepared by Jews and christains is halal and Muslims are permitted to eat according to the Quran, the reason why I always feel free and secured to eat from my Christian friends, nothing wrong with that cheesy

CSTR1003:

God has already sanctified all food? Is that what the Bible truly said ?

The Bible in Corinthians said "do not eat food offered to idols ".

In the Old Testament, Daniel and the three Hebrew children rejected the kings meat because they know it was sacrificed to idols.

The Bible only allows you to eat anyhow, if you are not sure of the source of the food, then you are expected to pray and give thanks.

But when you know a food was used for a religious offering that is not towards the real God, it is forbidden to eat as a Christian.

If you cannot prove with certainty, that Muslims worship Jehovah -the God of the universe ,then eating their religious food could be tantamount to spiritual contamination and idol worship.

and my point is all food has been sanctified by God. Of course not that which has been sacrificed but that which is meant for consumption of man not false gods. The food a Muslim will offer you is not what was sacrificed. It is what they will also eat that they will offer you.

But they recite their verses on their food and give thanks to Allah before eating and sharing .
That is a sacrifice.

It is not different from the sacrifices the Israelites gave to Jehovah in the Old Testament.

The question now is "Are you sure we are worshipping the same God "?
Because if not, then you are endangering your Christian life.

I'd rather do without the food .

You can only be sure of YOUR intentions towards someone else, you cant be sure of someone's intention towards you. You may say in ur heart that's it's just food, but you don't know exactly what the muslim person has done to it b4 bringing it to you. The best type of food to eat is the one you witnessed the preparation
well right from when I was a kid, our Muslim neighbors from the next compound always brought food to our home on their every celebration and we always did so too on Christmas by taking food to them which everyone ate without fear. There were times on Christmas day they Even came to our house and we all are together at the table. The only thing that will make me not eat anyone's food is the hygiene of the environment in which it was prepared.

Food is food. You are trying to discriminate. If you are offered Ramadan meal and hungry, eat it. Islam is a religion of good people.

I’m a Christian.

Give your life to Christ first. Then the Holy Spirit will lead you to take the right decision when you get to that point. Are you born again? Na im be koko.

You're funny but I like your comment. It made me remember some years back. My friend who was a son of pastor would come to our house on the day of ileya festival and eat. Whenever he was leaving, I would give him raw meat for the family to cook. On the days of Easter and Christmas, they would reserve my food even till late in the night.

This happened three times, and then the thing was gone, taken back into heaven.
The meaning of the vision becomes apparent
While Peter was still puzzling about the meaning of the vision which he had just seen, the men sent by Cornelius had arrived asking for the house of Simon. They were in fact standing at the very doorway of the house calling out to enquire if Simon, surnamed Peter, were lodging there. Peter was still thinking deeply about the vision when the Spirit said to him, “Three men are here looking for you. Get up and go downstairs. Go with them without any misgivings, for I myself have sent them.”

So, it is now by the name you call your God? What other name does an English Christian call/pray through?

Lol, go back and read his post again. The guy is telling you that the entity call Allah is different from the entity called Yahweh, eventhough they are both called by the name God in English, try and learn about the entity call Allah before Muhammad/Islam.

Pathetic, Even the bible said "my people perish coz they lack knowledge".....you don't have knowledge, wisdom, nothing. So is that how to spell the "God" being referred to there?. It is "there is no other god(deity) to be worshipped other than Allah(God). You are just senseless
He is actually making sense, but you are not seeing this unfortunately.
Lemme help you, go to a Muslim thread ryt now on NAIRALAND and see where you have to accept that "there is no god/ God except Allah"

if Christ is physically here, my lord would have visited Muslims and dine with them. When those who thought they were holier were proudly angry about Jesus's visit to the task collector and dining with sinners ,didn't he answered them that those who are healthy don't need a physician? What about the story of the good Samaritan ? Only God knows who fit pass abi why is our society be like this abi no by their fruits ye shall know them? Peace profound.
Yes, Jesus dined with them, he didn't eat at the idol worshippers table(food offered unto idols), but from SINNERS table(food eaten without idol worship ish) you know what I mean ryt. Don't mix things up

They claim to be Christians(followers of Christ) but they never followed him in his way at all. Jesus(ASW) performed ablution, prayed by bowing down his head(sujood) and he fasted. Most of them Christians don't even fast, they claim it is not mandatory....levity!. Did Jesus(ASW) clap and dance whenever he wanted to worship his God( or they may say he is God now).
Don't get it twisted sis, it is actually ISLAM that copied all those acts from the Jews of those days. Go figure!
And while at it, ponder on this too; there is a reason Mohammed was rejected by Jews first and then Christians at the beginning of his work, after a being revealed himself to Mohammed. Seek knowledge and live by the truth

Biblically, the Christian view is that it doesn't really matter as there is no longer any distinction between clean and unclean foods anymore, but then as Nigerians have the innate tendency to take religion to the extreme, accepting Ramadan food in some churches is seen as idol worship.

I think he means the latter... Muslims can and should accept 'halal' foods and drinks from christians and Jews, but not idol worshippers. I'm too sleepy to remember the right terms for them but it's the belief in the 1 God thing.

I don't know what the Christian view on the matter is...

What One God that is LIE

The god of ALLAH is the different from the true GOD. Hence you see they write no other God but Allah.
That in itself tells you they are not one and they same.
Allah under stands only ARABIC so they do not pray or talk to GOD in their Native dialect like Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa cause HE does not UNDERSTAND.

Besides is a terrible and scary god hence could not be approached unless you Kill another soul.

He is not a God of Humanity but rather of a Cult group that must pay abeyance to him

The god preaches hatred and discrimination unlike a loving and Fatherly God of other faith. If you are not his, you are not acceptable nor accepted.

There are a million other reasons better i stop here for others to comment.

You're getting it wrong bro Allah is an Arabic word which means God, similarly you would have heard Muslims greeting one another with asalam alaykum that also means 'may the peace and mercy of God be upon' almost as similar to the Christian's too. What makes it weird is the Arabic. I'm a Yoruba guy note Oluwa does not mean God but Lord, Eledumare is an ancient way of saying God, Olohun or Olorun means the creator it is foundly used by both Yoruba Christians and Muslims. We both worship God but in different ways

Great.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
So do our yourba moozlim brodas pray to Eledumare, Olorun/Olohun or to Allah? Yes/No? Is Allah same as Jehovah/Yahweh? Yes/No. If yes, do moozlims everywhere pray to or ever prayed to Yahweh/Jehovah, like even Jewish moozlims to start with? Any idea why or why not?
