Those are messages they sent to you on April 2nd and tge date read could change to anything based on the date you read it. If you read it today again it will change to June 6.
nivlek000:
Hi guys. I think something fishy is happening on my profile o.

My Timeline:
Medical: 16th April
Application : 20th April (online) -- Processing time as at application date was 7 weeks (Processing time is currently 9 weeks though)
Biometrics: 23 April

For whatever reasons the 'Date read' values have been moved forward from the initial April dates.
Is this common?

And what's with the absence of updates?

Naa. I don't think that's how it works. I believe it's the date it was first read. It normally shouldn't change after that.

Ayoade is right. if you click on the subject link to read again, the date read will automatically change to the day read. So it changes everytime you click on that link.

Hello Seniors,

I just checked my CIC account now, and found out that "They're currently reviewing my eligibility", and Background check also under review.

Does that mean one may not necessarily receive email update when they start eligibility reviews? Because I didn't get any email to that effect.

Thank you Frankrobbn1.

Law graduate with 2nd Class Lower. Currently employed in a Legal position.
Applied for a Professional Communications PGC at Centennial College. Earlier applied for Masters at Ryerson but did not get admission.
I have brief experience in Communications from an internship so I'm changing career from Law to Media and Communications.
Was refused based on Travel History, Purpose of Visit, Personal Assets and Financial Status.
Submitted all necessary forms, Parents' Land docs and wrote an SOP explaining my academic and professional history and my interest and experience in communications. Did not submit my bank statement coz my salary is paid in cash. I feel like sometimes, they focus on what you don't have rather than what you do have.

Frankrobbn1:

HerMoney,

I want to believe you didn't undergo an upfront medicals. If you did, it's likely not a refusal. But if you didn't, I am afraid it's a refusal.

Kindly Order your GCMS notes using the below link:
https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

While waiting your GCMS notes, you can as well share your profile to the house.

It will end in praises next time.

Hello Madam,

Oh! Sorry to hear you went all this stress but to no avail. Kindly follow the below guidelines/steps stated by me and I am sure you will get it right this time.

1-) Apply online and acquire the correct forms using this link:

HOW TO APPLY FOR SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT FROM UNITED KINGDOM

2-) Complete the PDF Application Form IMM1295E

SPOUSAL WORK PERMIT FORM MADE OUTSIDE CANADA

3-) Save it to your desktop, and upload it to your application (the electronic signature is not needed).

No job offer is necessary when applying for a spousal work permit. You can indicate "not applicable" in fields requesting this information.
No Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is necessary for the above work permits; you can leave this section blank.

4-) Upload required documents
Upload your saved IMM1295E form to your application

5-) When asked to upload your passport, be sure to include ALL stamped/marked pages of your passport. These should all be scanned into 1 document.

6-) If you were required to do a medical exam as part of your work permit application, upload proof of this (i.e. a receipt and E-medical slip) in the additional documents section. If not, there is no need for medicals.

7-) Last but not the least, Pay the required fees:
Spousal work permit = $155 + $100 = $255.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if this information is not sufficient or not related to what you seek.

All the best!

Yes love we are exempted from doing the medicals. But seems we to submit police cert.
HiSignature:
If you are resident in UK, you do not need to do medicals except you have not live there for more than 6 months.
Look through the exception list for medicals online, residents of some countries are exempted.

olugere:

1. Am I submitting any original certificate or photocopy been certified.

2. Where can I certify my document in Lagos

3. What documents do I need to certify

4. How much is carrying documents in Lagos
olugere,

I want to drop into conclusion that you're a paper route applicant..

1-) You're expected to submit originals of bank statement. Letters addressed to the embassy should be originals and all other supporting documents are meant to be photocopies. You don't necessarily need to notarize your documents before submission.

2-) You can certify/notarize your documents in a notary public office at Alagbon Passport Office Lagos, Alausa Passport Office, Ikeja high court of law etc...

3-) Documents that needs to be notarized are documents that does not bear an official signature or stamp on them. If your documents has an official stamp and sign, then there is no need notarising them.

4-) To notarize a document, you will need to take along with you the original copy to a notary public office, of which it will cost you between the sum of N500-700 per copy, depending on your bargaining skills.

All the best!
