Prudento:

Is ur eligibility review running? Do you have travel history?

Eligibility shows "Your application is in progress. we will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility"

I actually had my degree from Ghana via distance learning in Nigeria. I only stated that my degree is from a Ghanaian University but never mentioned in my SOP that it was via distance learning. Also i didn't submit any travel history document cos a friend collected my transcript on my behalf which was submitted with my application but also didn't mention this in my SOP.

OGHENE I DEY BEG OOOOO

I am happy for you and a big congratulations to you brother.

I did upfront medical and submitted my application online on April 13. No updates yet aside from Biometrics showing "Completed".
I am worried about the strange circumstance of my case. I also applied to school in Alberta province. I decree and tap from your good report this day in Jesus name... Amen

As at when you applied, what was the processing time on CIC website?

Hrhchris didn't submit online. He submitted paper application which is often processed faster nowadays.

No need to start panicking.

Hi guys. I think something fishy is happening on my profile o.

My Timeline:
Medical: 16th April
Application : 20th April (online) -- Processing time as at application date was 7 weeks (Processing time is currently 9 weeks though)
Biometrics: 23 April

For whatever reasons the 'Date read' values have been moved forward from the initial April dates.
Is this common?

And what's with the absence of updates?

Hello everyone, please if you submit upfront medicals, will they start reviewing it or they will request for it again? I hear a lot say that when they request for medicals, then theres a 90% chance of visa approval, sorry for the confusion but i just want to understand the upfront medical thing and medical request. Since there is an upfront medical wont they just start reviewing it? does it mean the same thing?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by holubukola(f): 5:43pm On Jun 06, 2018
PLEASE ADVISE

I am still waiting for my offer letter from university of Ryerson,I applied for fall 2018,just worried when they will reply considering that I still need to apply for study permit, will ircc consider the fact that RU delayed the offer letter or when I receive I should just defer it for January?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 5:55pm On Jun 06, 2018
Upfront medicals depends on an applicant. If the applicant feels his or her resumption date is close to the time of the application submission, then an upfront medical comes in, but it doesn't mean an automatic Visa cos the VOs checks for other criterials from ur application. Buh if you convince the VO in other areas of ur application, they won't need to send u a medical mail when its time for ur medical check, cos the hospital/Clinic would have sent them a report of ur result ND also they will give you a copy which u will attach with ur application. So when you do an upfront medical, they won't request for another medical, so far u did ur medicals in one of their registered hospital.
